We are a family of 5 (3 adult children) and #36 while quite dark inside with very poor interior lighting was serviceable since we weren't there much. However, we do like cooking dinner in (and not going out every night) and the knives hadn't been sharpened for a long time. We had to buy a cork screw, too. The wi-fi wasn't working when we got there, but Bello fixed it. Some of the lamps blew bulbs or fuses but again Bello fixed it. (I didn't have the sense that Bello had actually done a walk thru of the apartment before we got there though.) The most difficult was that they promised a king size bed and there was none. Again, all of this was okay cause we weren't there much... but there was a lot that felt half there... Two beach chairs broke and we purchased new ones. (I hope we are reimbursed). The location is great, but this apt is just okay.

most everything was great but:
because of being on lower level the unit was quite dark and even with all the lights on during the day...it was still dark.
check out time was too strict! we golfed early in the morn. and everything was ready to go and we knew we would be a little late...regardless, my aunt had to wait outside for us till 10:20. -

We were very pleased with this condo we rented on Maui as well as Bello Rental agency. The condo was apacious and fully stocked with everything that we needed. It was located in a beautiful area convenient to many beaches, shopping and resturants.

Grand Champions 36 is an easy condo to find and dealing with the people at Bello realty was a good experience. There is a lock box which made access and "checking in" convenient and simple. The condo is nicely furnished with all appliances in good condition. The majority of this condo has been renovated in the past few years and is a comfortable place to relax after a busy day at the beach. It was a short five minute drive to many of the best beaches in Maui and an easy walk to the Wailea mall.
This is a perfect location for a family looking for a home base from which to explore. There is little wind as you are more inland than many of the ocean view condos which is something we preferred as we enjoy sitting on the patio with calm weather. The vegetation around the complex is amazing and home to many birds, geckos, etc.
The pool associated with the property is quite small and is more for small children to splash around in or adults to cool off in as opposed to active children to swim in. The shallow end is 3ft while the deep end is 5ft and the temperature was fine. The BBQ's are in the pool area, not crowded and worked well. No glass, ceramic, or anything that could break is allowed in the pool area so if you are barbequing you need to bring the meat down on something metal or plastic.
There is a second pool on the property which we were told is a quiet pool and is for people 18 and over.
If you are looking for a great accomodation in a beautiful setting and are planning most of your activities to be at the beach or many other areas around the island then this property would serve as an excellent home base.
If you are looking for an ocean view from your patio, are not looking to explore, and expect your children to be satisfied at the pool all day then you may want to look elsewhere.
As for my family and I we would certainly entertain staying at Grand Champions 36 again.
