What a lovely place to stay--very tastefully decorated with everything we needed. We were sorry we weren't there for a week. Kathy, from Rentals Maui, followed through so well on what she had promised. The view was lovely from the condo. We appreciated the fact that we could rent for only two nights. Some places require a higher minimum. We want to return again to #48.

We had a wonderful stay in the condo and found it to be very accomodating for our family. The unit was clean, well stocked with items you would need for a weeks stay, and the weather could not have been more perfect!
The view from our patio was a treat to wake up to each day.
Only real problem was the internet connection.
We would recommend the rental to any of our friends going to Maui. -

Mercer Island, WANice unit...all in all, it was a good vacation
Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We've stayed in units in the Grand Champions complex before. Not on the beach, but an easy 3 minute walk to the Shops at Wailea...and easy beach access from the adjoining hotels.
We put this vacation together very last-minute, and I should have taken note that Maui was going to be very busy, as all the ocean front condos were booked. As it turned out, we were lucky to get one of the only units available in Wailea for the 10 days we could go.
This unit is great for two couples as both bedrooms have full baths. I am not sure the description said this, but the additional bedroom is in a lock-off, and the bed is actually a queen size murphy bed. The bed was OK...we were afraid we wouldn't sleep, but we were actually fairly comfortable. The other bedroom had a king, and our friends said that they were comfy except that the matress was encased in a plastic top sheet that got hot to sleep on.
There was a nice view of the ocean over the rooftops, which was a bonus. There was a staircase off the back deck that went down to the pool...convenient, but noisy when it was filled with kids, which it regularly was, because it was Spring Break for a lot of schools.
The unit was not well-stocked. It can supposedly sleep 6 people by using the sofa hide-a-bed in the living room, but the unit was barely stocked for 4 people. The unit had 3 bowls, 4 coffee cups, etc. Cheap stuff, and not enough to be adequately stocked. We also laughed about the fact that the rental management company was incredibly stingy with the basics: trash can liners for the kitchen trash, very little toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towel, a washer/dryer and no laundry detergent, a little dash of dishwasher detergent, etc. We paid a premium for this unit, and it was stocked for maybe a 3 day stay.
Overall, I would say it's OK if everything is booked. The unit is relatively clean, has granite counter tops and a newish refrigerator in the kitchen, but could really use a deep cleaning and some touch-up paint. It worked out OK for 4 adults. -

Grand Champions is a clean, safe, well located condo complex in Wailea. Unit 48 is spacious, has an excellent view, and has nice amenities. The main room has a large flat screen. The bedroom tv's work but are the old tube TV's. Free access to internet and the unit has AC if you need it. In general the unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great air flow since it faces the ocean, and the deck is shady much of the time. Close to the pool and area shopping. We loved this unit.

Great location overlooking the pool with a nice ocean view. Short walk to shops and beach. Couldn't have asked for much more at that price. Would definitely stay here again.

Vancouver, BC, Canadaa pleasant location
Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The location was good. The unit we stayed in had a lovely ocean view but might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues as it was 3 flights of stairs up to the unit. The furnishings etc were ok but not great if you wanted to entertain or eat at home. There were just basic dishes, no serving dishes and only 3 mismatched wine glasses. Also, no chest of drawers in the bedroom for clothing, only a closet. It seemed likely that the owners use the unit. However, the location was convenient to shops etc. and the grounds and staff around the property were professional and pleasant.

Delta, BC, CanadaMissing the place already.
Left on 01/16/2012 for a stay in January 2012
The condo was fabulous - well appointed, nicely decorated, and centrally located in the complex with one pool below on the left and the second pool (the quiet pool) just a walk across the street. The views were wonderful as we sat on the lanae and watched the sunset most evenings or ate breakfast while watching the palm trees sway and the birds sing. The accomodations worked well for our group (one couple, a teenager, and a senior) and the condo affords good seperation between the two bedrooms and living spaces so no one felt underfoot. We appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards as well. The beaches are a five minute drive down the hill or a 15-20 minute walk. This is our fifth visit to Maui and I would definitely recommend this property to others. Thanks.

Klamath Falls, OR, United StatesLow rate, Good view, aged furniture.
Left on 12/04/2011 for a stay in December 2011
We have stayed at the Grand Champions eight different times now, each time in a different unit. Unit #48 has a great view, and the rate was also good. However, the furniture and fixures were dated and not so comfortable. The bed in the bedroom off the lania, with the view, has a fold down bed with no box springs, and the assocated bath is a bit small. There is no provision for music, other than a plastic SONY boombox. The TV is new, but DVD/VCR is dated. Living room furniture is old and uncomfortable. Kitchen outfitting is a bit skimpy and cheap stuff. (Bring your own vegetable peeler.) In spite of all, given the great view and attractive price, I rate overall four stars, but it would be 3-1/2 stars if that were an option.

Left on 07/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011
This place is an absolute gem!! Right in the heart of the super pricey resorts is this amazing self-contained apartment/unit/condo, with a spectacular view of the coast, the golf courses, its own pool, great location! I read some people say it was too far to walk to the beach - you are in Maui, enjoy the sunshine & the like 15 min walk to the amazing beach in front of the Mariott. Saving every penny to come back & stay here again! Luxuriously furnished, feels like a brand new home away from home!

The unit was great, clean and well appointed. The only problem, and it was a big one, was the four flights of stairs to get to it. We had an elderly person with us and he could not climb up and down the stairs. Otherwise, the location overlooking the pool and ocean view were great!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Champions unit 48. The unit was very comfortable with air conditioning in 3 rooms. The view was excellent! The only recomendation I would make would be to have better cushions on the lanai furniture because the metal chairs were very uncomfortable with the thin little cushions they had on them. The only other complaint would be the beach chairs as they were all broken in some way(fabric seats were all ripped). We actually left 2 of our chairs in the room for other guests to enjoy. Overall we were all very happy with the condo and definitely would stay there again.

Seattle, WAGreat condo, decent location, older or younger crowd.
Left on 03/27/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The condo had everything we needed for going to the beach or staying in - including cooking and preparing meals. However, the complex is probably more ideal for older couples or families. The complex is nice and quiet, two small pools/hot tubs can get pretty crowded during the day if the weather is nice. You can walk places, but it's somewhat far to the Wailea mall and beaches, best to have a car or use taxis.

We truly enjoyed the our stay in Maui. The only negative comment I have is that one of the cupboards reeked of garlic. Having a beach umbrella, beach chairs and towels was wonderful (although a couple of chairs are wearing out).

Left on 12/25/2010 for a stay in December 2010
We stayed for a week here and a week elsewhere on this trip. We found the value for the accomodations was excellent. The condo was great for our family of four. Though it was not near the beach, a 5 minute drive down the hill had 3 different beaches to choose from. Access to other areas of the island was quick and easy with the main highway a half a mile away. I would recomend this place to anyone heading to Maui.

Left on 03/29/2010 for a stay in March 2010
We stayed in this unit in 2008 and were excited to go back again this year. The place is kept up really well. It works out really great for a family of four with teenage girls. Love the location and the ability to walk to many things yet far enough away from the hussle and bussle of all the tourist traps. Sitting on the lanai watching sunset with a glass of wine is the best way to end a perfect day. We will be back!

Colorado Springs, COGreat Ocean Views
Left on 02/19/2010 for a stay in February 2010
This condo was very comfortable and has tons of storage spaces. It could be exceptional with the addition of MORE TOWEL BARS in both bathrooms and the kitchen, the towels were luxuriously thick but the wash clothes were too thick to use effectively and way too thick to dry between use - therefore they required multiple washings to prevent mildew smell - while trying to save water in Hawaii this was a waste of water and time. Please list the size of the bed in each bedroom as the 2nd bed is not kingsize, it is a very small murphy bed. The fake plants may make for great marketing photos but they are really in the way and dust catchers. When we arrived the kitchen counters and kitchen floor had some sort of sticky stuff all over that we had to clean off before we could walk without sticking or before setting anything on the counters. The reservation process was flawless - Kathy Englerts team is very professional and possess much Aloha
