Cardrona Sanctuary is just a 2 minutes drive from the Cardrona and Snow Park/Snow Farm ski fields access roads. The famous, historic Cardrona Pub is only a 400m walk away and provides great après-ski during winter, welcome cold drinks in summer and fabulous food all year round. The valley is also great for walking/jogging and mountain bike riding and is well known for the local horse trekking activities.
Queenstown is a scenic 40 minute drive away with all the adrenaline filled activities it is well known for (bungy jumping, jet boating, canyon swinging, sky diving etc), while Wanaka is only 15 minutes away. Both towns offer a great variety of dining, shopping and gallery experiences while vineyards, golf courses, additional ski fields and many other popular attractions all add to the allure of the area

Rates: Rates: Rates are for 3 day minimum stay and are based on up to six guests, one extra guest may stay paying an additional charge. Prices range from $250 per night at off peak times to $350 per night for the Ski Season/Public & School holidays/Events; Less than 3 nights stay may be possible by negotiation but a higher rate may be payable at those times - please email for details.

Our family of four spent 10 days at Cordrona Sanctuary in late July. The house itself was beautiful. The location was perfect for us--just 1 km down the highway from the entrance for the road up to Cordrona. The owners were a delight to deal with.The only thing that could have made our stay even better would have been a grill on the back porch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cardrona Sanctuary. The home is welcoming, extremely comfortable and superclean. The owners have provided some thoughtful touches for the comfort and convenience of their guests, including a plentiful supply of firewood, a great range of books and Dvd's, a few games and information about some nice local running tracks for fitness enthusiasts.
Being a family with a couple of kids we loved that we could self-cater easily and keep on top of the washing! Our kids loved patting horses in a nearby paddock and exploring the creek across the road. There's a horse-riding business in Cardrona which offers great rides for beginners or more experienced riders. We could easily walk to the beautiful Cardrona Hotel which is a great place for a family meal with swings and plenty of room for the kids to run in a pretty garden.
We found the location was great for quite a few day trips being in easy reach of Queenstown, Wanaka, Arrowtown. We ventured further afield to the old historical town of Cromwell and took our time driving through the countryside returning in the evening for a quiet relax in front of the fire (yes, in summer!).
We look forward to returning in winter as the house is very close to the entry to ski-fields. -

Wow what a wonderful piece of paradise, to wake up to these views we didn't want to leave. The owners have spared no expense in putting this property out to rent, all the amenities are first class, the place was definitely the cleanest and most comfortable of our whole trip. Loved it.
