The apartment is fully furnished and equipped, with an independent kitchen. Grocery, bakery and chemist stores are just across the street.
The apartment is very peaceful and full of light, with views of the rooftops and Old Town is in close distance.
Perfect for one or two guests, this cozy studio apartment is set in close proximity to all of Warsaw's major tourists attractions. Most of the city's major places of interest and finest shopping, dining and entertainment venues are within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful appartment. The flat is very nice with lots of light, nice kithen and bathroom. Though the room is not that big, it was perfect for a couple. The appartment is equipped with a large screen television, also with a laptop and everything what you need. We were there in January, when it was cold outside but the heating worked in a perfect way, it was always nice to return "home" from outside. :)
The service was great. To be honest, I would never expect this kind of service while renting an appartment, but also aldona and Iwona went beyond their duty while offering us everything we might need. Before arrival we got an e-mail and great help with directions from the airport. When we arrived, Iwona helped us with a city map and some suggestions what we found great. We were also very satisfied they speak very good english. Little extras, like coffee in the kitchen, complimentary water on the fridge upon arrival, amazing quality toiletries made also the stay even more comfortable. The flat was spotlessly clean. I can't really express how delighted I am with the service we got. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again! -

This is not only the best apartment I ever took for holidays, this is a mix of kindness (owner very helpful, kind and attendant).
I didn't need nothing else, all you want is here, from the kitchen to the bathroom, all clean and well organized.
I'm writing this review on the first of the week I will stay here with my girlfriend, I will surely come again here when I will have possibility and I can only absolutely recommend this little angle of heaven to all the people that will want to enjoy this wonderful city!

We stayed in this apartment with 2 small children and it was perfect, not much space with 2 additional cots, but we had all we needed.
The place is clean, full of all sorts of amenities. Location is perfect, with walking distance to the old town or Wisla river. we will definitively come

We recently completed a stay in Warsaw at Tamka Den, and it suited our needs perfectly. Aldona went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She provided a ton of local information for us and was available throughout our stay if we needed anything. Location is great - walking distance to the Old City and Nowy Swiat. We would gladly stay again.

We stayed in this property for a longer period of time and we highly recommend it.
First of all - The place is clean, cute and packed with amenities. Location is just perfect (for tourists as well as for business travelers.) Public transportation is available in front of the building, but we could walk to many attractions as well.
The manager made us feel like being home away from home.
We used this accommodation as a base for short visits to other European attractions.
All in all - we'd love to stay there again!

Our stay in the apt Tamka Den allowed us to rediscover and revisit attractions of the area that lie in close proximity or within easy reach - Stare Miasto (Old City) and the Castle, Krakowskie i Nowy Swiat (Kings' Tract), the city centre. museums and theatres. It is so close everywhere that there is no need to use the public transport. However, buses going to various parts of Warsaw and connecting to metro and trams are available at the front of the house. Free parking is on site but a tourist does not really need a car in Warsaw.
The location is excellent as far as food is concerned. There are excellent shops on the corner so making your own meals is easy, but there are also restaurants within walking distance .
The apartment itself is not big but is well designed and comfortable. The way it is equipped shows thoughtfulness and care about visitors' needs. It contains all they might need for a comfortable stay, including tourist information and books, as well as a good TV/DVD set.
The Owner and the Neighbour are helpful and available to make your stay enjoyable.
We live in australia and travel around the world quite a bit, often staying in self-contained accommodation. We have not experienced many examples of the standard and value that Tamka Den represents. We suggest it should be called Tamka Gem!Response from Aldona Skirgiello - 12/09/2011

Dear Melifor, I did not respond earlier to your review, as I expected a reply to my private e-mail sent to you on 08/28/11. Three months later, I have not heard from you.
Thank you for staying at Tamka Den in May 2011 and for a very nice review submitted in August. Since you are suggesting that Tamka Den should be named "Tamka Gem", I would like to know why was it not rated "excellent", but rather "very good".
What was wrong with the quality of bedding/sleeping comfort? The mattress is brand new and of top quality and there is also a mattress pad (brand new, 1 inch thick) for the extra comfort of my guests. What were the kitchen items that you did not find? The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything a guest(s) may need for their short stay. And what kind of other amenities were lacking in the apartment? Everything you might have forgotten to pack with you is there: band-aids, OTC pain relief, sewing kit, shower caps, individually packed hand sanitizing towels, bath foam, body lotion, extra soap, shoe polish cloth, even eye covers and individually packed toothbrush and toothpaste. All complimentary.
Let me kindly remind you, while I - the owner - was overseas, you received the keys to Tamka Den within 6 hours of your first inquiry along with a very nice discount. Tamka Den was ready with complimentary chocolates to warmly welcome you. -

I'm writing from Tamka Den, sad to be leaving tomorrow after a perfect week. This is our second time here and I must say it is even better than when we were here last October (you can see that review on Trip advisor).
The owner has lovingly turned this studio apartment into an ideal respite for travelers. In addition to the great kitchen and bathroom, she has added a bookshelf with tour books, literature and games. She has a new really effective cooling fan (useful on the one hot night here). The new comfy stools in the kitchen mean we can eat at the counter, looking out the window of the rooftops of Old Town and the swifts settling in for the night.
The location is easy walking distance to most tourist places in the city. Also, the bus stop in front of the building serves a number of useful bus lines. There are now ticket kiosks around the city that function in English so it is really easy to get a three or seven-day pass. The bus system in the city is convenient and not too crowded, even at rush hour.
The building has an elevator, so no problem dragging our luggage or groceries in. The high-tech clothes washing machine and the neat drying rack in the bathroom are real pluses. The space is so full of light and air.
Most of all, the genuine warmth and care of the owner makes Tamka Den a true home-away-from home.

I can't imagine a better solution for anyone seeking a short term rental near the centre of Warsaw. We hired a car during our stay and the availability of secure parking was a bonus.

Tamka Den is a fabulous option for Warsaw--a comfortable space with all the amenities in a convenient location.
This studio apartment has a full kitchen with all necessary appliances; easy wireless internet, cable tv with access to many international stations, a comfortable bathroom with a great shower.
The neighborhood is ideal: down the street from the new Chopin Museum, close to the university, to Nowy Świat, to Old Town and easy walking to Praga on the other side of the river, to Jerozolimskie avenue and places beyond.
I stayed for four and a half days. My husband joined me for the last two and I found everything about the apartment easy. You don't need to know Polish to make any arrangements. The owner is extremely helpful in confirming the reservation, in sending details that make it easy to find the apartment, and helping guests settle in to the neighborhood. It felt like staying with an old friend. -

Very clean, quiet and well equipped apartment in the heart of Warsaw. Close to main attractions with easy access to public transportation. Everything as described. The manager very friendly and helpful. I will stay there the next time I am in Warsaw.

Everything conforms the description ideally. Although the building is located at a street with quite a lot of traffic, the apartment is quiet, since all windows face the back yard. Besides, double door to the apartment keep any possible noises from the staircase away. The bed is very comfortable and the entire apartment, although small, is nice and cozy. The manager is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back!
