Plymouth, MinnesotaPerfect place to relax after walking all of DC in a week
Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Although more expensive than renting a 2-bed hotel room, the lounge-around space and well-equipped kitchen made this Vrbo the perfect option for our family of four (2 adults, kids 10 &13). The photos make the modern furniture look hard and uncomfortable but the exact opposite was true. Couches, chairs and beds were all comfy, and we even laid on the floor on the funky (but shedding) rug. What we paid extra for in lounge space we saved in needing to eat out for all meals, which was worth it for kids who prefer pizza over fine dining. Plus the location is so revealing about Washington life with many embassies, homes, the dog park, plus restaurants, nearby grocery & liquor stores, and easy walking to two Metro stops (red and yellow lines). Washer and dryer available. The only downfall was the night it rained on the skylights above the master bed: no leaks, but a bit noisy! Note that the stairs are many and those with very young children (or bad knees) might not like this, but anyone over 5 should be fine.

Brisbane, AustraliaExtremely comfortable home away from home
Left on 10/19/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We loved staying here. It was my first visit to the USa, and such a comfortable place to base ourselves for our time in DC. The apartment was extremely clean and quiet. Ducted airconditioning was a blessing in the heat, and we particularly loved the radio/CD player wired into the apartment (I'm really missing Weta!). A full kitchen with a huge fridge, oven, dishwasher and even cookbooks, plus spacious dining and lounge settings really made us feel at home. The washing machine and dryer were great, too. There are two grocery stores close by - including Whole Foods (non-USa citizens - these are fabulous!).
Two things you should know before booking in case they bother you. One is there's a skylight in the main bedroom. While it's lovely to hear the pitter patter of rain during the night, if I needed a nap during the day (recovering from jetlag) I needed an eye mask. The other thing is it's about a 15 min walk to the subway from the apartment.
I still highly recommend this apartment. -

The house is beautiful, well furnished and spacious.
The location near the Metro and bus line was most convenient.
We enjoyed the great restaurants near Dupont Circle. -

First time to DC & this condo was perfect. Well furnished, clean in a nice neighborhood.
We found it very convenient for walking with shopping & restaurants nearby (2-3 blocks). Dupont Circle is a bit farther but still easy to get to. We did enjoy the walk to the White House but I think if would be too much for young children. -

This was a perfect location; 20 minute walking distance to White House and Smithsonian museums. There are a number of great restaurants in the area including Komi (fantastic).
There is also a Whole Foods 5 minutes walk away. Owners could not have been more helpful. -

Sydney, AustraliaA smooth and plainless stay.
Left on 01/14/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Spending a week in the apartment was a pleasant and easy experience. There is lots of room, good furniture and all the modern comforts of a home away from home. We visited Washington in January and the apartment was warm with great cooking and laundry facilities. The two bathrooms is great for parents with a teenage daughter. There was also lots of tourist literature with maps in the apartment that was very helpful.
The apartment is well located to resturants and a big supermarket, although Dupont Circle Metro is a reasonable walk, busses go past the corner. -

Fort Worth, TXFantastic Apartment!
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in September 2009
Apartment was nicely furnished and had all the amenities as described. Was just a great place to come home to every night after meetings all day to unwind. If it was not for all the great things to do in the surrounding neighborhood, I would spent more time in the apartment! Highly recommend this apartment.
