Our family of four, including teenage daughter (17) and son (14), stayed here for a week in april 2013. This condo is beautiful... full of light and warmth! Dave, the owner, was so easy to communicate with. He met us at the condo upon our arrival in DC. He showed us around the condo and made us feel at home. Everything was clean and ready for us. He gave us restaurant recommendations and was easy to reach by phone for us to arrange check out. The location of this condo (the U Street area) is wonderful. There are many shops and eateries in the area within walking distance. It is a block away from the metro, so it's easy to get anywhere in town. Just a note -- there are several clubs very close by, so there is some late night noise. However, it didn't bother us a bit. I highly recommend Langston Lofts!

We were on track to rent the unit on U St. for our family of 4.5 (my daughter lived in DC so she only slept over a few nights), but we had some reservations about the size of the unit.
Dennis (the manager) noted our concern and slipped us into a bigger place after one of
his other rentals wanted to downsize. It worked out great for us! The property was very clean and furnished nicely, in a quiet upscale neighborhood within walking distance of Dupont circle. If the weather is nice, there is an outside patio to lounge or entertain on. The only downside of this property for someone older might be a fairly steep stairway, since it is a second floor apartment. One of the best vacation rentals we've had yet, at a very competitive price. We would definitely stay there again. -

We can whole-heartedly recommend this rental. Some vacation rentals can be a little impersonal and hotel-like, but not this was just like borrowing a friend's apartment, completely supplied, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable with all the amenities.
The light and air is wonderful, and you can see the Capitol Dome and the top of the Washington Monument over the city. Great restaurant below -- Busboys and Poets, we ate there 4 times. Also shopped for wine and groceries at the yes organic market 1/2 block away. We toured lots of museums using the Metro station just 2 blocks away; it was also easy to get cabs on the corner. The neighborhood is lively and a little noisy, but the windows keep out all the sound. I'm a light sleeper and had no problem at all. The building is new and very secure, with artwork and poetry as lobby and hallway decor.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.
