seattleComfortable, clean and convenient

This is a great place to make your base while in D.C. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and it's a 5 minutes walk to the metro. In the mornings it was nice to be able to have coffee and breakfast before heading out. After a busy day of sightseeing it was a pleasure to go back to the apartment to relax. I strongly recommend this place.

Apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. The king-size bed was firm and had nice sheets. The kitchen was not quite as pictured in ad but close. I think they have similarly furnished apartments for rent. The kitchen was well-equipped in case you wanted to fix a meal. We didn't but there was plenty of coffee/tea in the cabinet. Nice touch! The bathroom was small but clean. Rooms were nice-sized and appeared to be furnished with Ikea products. We were only there at night but we were always able to find parking on the street within a block of the bldg. Con: Three flights of stairs to reach apartments. Also, there was an issue with the key-pickup. The key was not in the lock box as they had told us it would be and no one was there to meet us even though we had emailed and called as instructed. It took several calls before someone showed up with the key to let us in. It was a hot day and it was miserable waiting after traipsing up 36 steps with luggage to wait to be let into a cool apartment.

Owasso, OKGreat deal on great apartment!!
Left on 11/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011
There were three of us on this trip, my husband, myself, and my mom. We (husband and I) were going to run in the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K and were planning to stay a week for some vacation while there. The apartment was awesome and yes, the pictures don't do it justice on size. We were quite pleased with all the room and storage (and never ran out of hot water). We even utilized the free washer/dryer/detergent and all worked great. We weren't quite accustomed to such a hard bed but we were so tired it didn't matter because we slept like rocks. We became regulars at the Giant grocery store and the FroZenYo... you don't get free hot fudge or hot caramel at our yogurt places at home! Over all I would highly recommend this apartment. Jarek met us there and gave us lots of tips on getting around on the metro, sights, and restaurants. Thanks Jarek and Elizabeth for helping make our trip awesome! :)

Maitland, AustraliaAccomodating, safe and comfortable
Left on 10/28/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Travelling with the wife and 2 children 10 and under, from australia, its often hard to predict what us cities will be like, and DC presented it's challenges. Our main concern was to find a place convenient and safe and I think we found a winner here. We even had off-street parking for the rental car. Columbia Heights presents both sides of society, with many large expensive places mixed in close with what looks like public housing. Some streets nearby I was wary about walking my kids, but for the main streets it felt open and safe. 2 x supermarkets in easy walking distance was a bonus, and the Columbia Heights metro station just as close. We had 3 days of museum visits that the kids will never forget.

Fresno, CaliforniaNice rental with modern conveniences with a great location!
Left on 08/21/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Renting an apartment is of out the norm for us while on vacation, but with high hotel prices in the DC area we not only found this rental to be very reasonably, but in a great location near shopping and the the subway! The 1 Bdrm. apt. was comfortable with all the modern conveniences and aptly furnished by Ikea to make our vacation more enjoyable and pleasing to the eyes. It was nice being able to cook or have groceries available in the apt. when one desired. In addition, having laundry facilities to use for free was unexpected. The bathroom is a little small, but manageable. Cable TV is available along with a stereo for your listening pleasures, which is nice. The bed is firm and set-up a little too low for us, but was comfortable enough to recharge our batteries for the next days outing. The location in Columbia Heights is great! Two blocks away is Tivoli Square with a variety of shops and restaurants at your leisure. Also there is the Columbia Heights subway station, which we got to know all to well. If your vacationing in the DC area, taking the subway is the best mode of transportation to any thing and everything! Overall, the apt. was nice and in a great location. Walking at night we felt safe since there was a number of others out enjoying the evening or returning from the local stores.

BristolGreat apartment experience
Left on 12/26/2010 for a stay in December 2010
Staying here was wonderful from the full sized kitchen to the living area to the beautiful bedroom! The four of us slept very comfortably (including the fold out sofa). The beds & linens were so comfortable we actually woke up late every day of our week stay. The flat screen tvs/WiFit/dvd player were all added treats. The surrounding area is perfect for visitors with the metro station nearby along with many beautiful shops and restaurants. Even a free off street parking! Contact with the Jarek and Elizabeth, was very professional and informative. Overall, definitely an a+ in our book!

We thouroughlly enjoyed our stay and the location is excellent being an easy walk to restaurants, grocery store and most importantly the Metro station. The apartment was generously appointed, extremely clean and perfect for our family of four to explore DC. We cooked many evenings and it had everything we needed. The owner - Jarek is very friendly and accommodating, which was a major plus with this rental

My family and I enjoyed staying at this apartment. The location was amazing with Metro, restaurants and shopping around the corner. The owners were around and provided tips on where to eat, and how to get around the area. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone with kids looking for walkable neighborhood.
