Takoma Park is a walkable, green and friendly neighborhood with a year round producer-only farmers market every Sunday. We have a wonderful yoga center nearby and our community is open minded and supportive of alternative lifestyles and individualism. The neighborhood is known as 'The Berkeley of the East'. Known for its numerous mature trees creating a serene feeling of living in the woods. It's quiet, family friendly and offers a wide variety of restaurants. There's a Whole Foods Grocery Store nearby and a large mostly organic farmers market year round.
Equally close is Silver Spring with its restaurant row offering a wealth of cuisines and wonderful opportunities in entertainment including The AFI Silver Theater which offers first run and classic films as well as our annual SILVERDOCS Film Festival. The Majestic Theater has 20 screens with the finest selection of first-run films anywhere in Metropolitan Washington. For live performance, there's Round House Theatre, live summer concerts and the annual Silver Spring Jazz Festival. In the winter downtown Silver Spring has a popular outdoor ice skating rink.

The homeowner was wonderful to deal with and added nice touches including fresh flowers and a chocolate Easter bunny for our kids. The home was very clean and beautifully furnished. We drove to all the sights very easily. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a great time at your lovely home. This was our first time using Vrbo and the bar has been set very high.
Everything was just as pictured and the neighborhood was beautiful! We found the kitchen to be well equipped for our group of 8 and there was lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. We found the notebook of suggestions to be very helpful that Linda left for us. She was wonderful to work with and always available to offer suggestions and help.
The beds and sheets were top of the line...better than our bed at home! We didn't have a chance to use all of the electronics and games offered, we were too exhausted after sightseeing every night but the hot tub was heaven! Thanks for a great stay!Response from Linda Nealon - 04/04/2013

The location is excellent. The views out over the valley are amazing. We watched the sunrise every morning through the huge living room window. The ski lift is a short walk away for when it is snowing. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. We only had to purchase a couple of food items. All of the necessities were there. The location is great, only a few short minutes from the casinos and lake. On top of all of that, Linda was excellent to work with in every way. I highly recommend this rental and will definitely stay there again when we go back to Tahoe.

After reading all the glowing reviews, I had some high hopes for our trip. Linda didn't disappoint! She was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful-it felt like we had our own travel agent. She knows so much about the area and has invested so much warmth and upgrades into the condo that it's clear how much she cares about the place and her guests. She answered all our questions about what to do, where to eat, etc. and her recommendations were superb. Linda, thank you for a fantastic stay! -

First off, my epectations were very high based on all the reviews. 5 out of 5 doesn't come easy. This definitely gets a five from us as well.
Everthing everyone said in their reviews was right on the mark. This place had more amentities than we could take advantage in the 4 days that we stayed. Enjoyed the complimentary Starbucks coffee, huge towels, robes and the confortable beds and Jacuzzi and hot tub. I have to admit that this was my first experience with a heated toilet seat with a bidet. Everthing was finished in pine with a lot of detail.
My wife and I would highly recommend this to anyone. Condo was immaculate and even more attractive than the pictures and video showed. Linda was fantastic: responding promptly to my questions and was very helpful and pleasent in all respects. She really went above and beyond, and we had a wonderful time. Stayed here for a few nights with my wife and mother. It was mug more than I expected. Beautiful wood finishes everywhere. A new fireplace and new TV give a nice sense of modern along with the heated toilet seats and rain shower. The kitchen is updated with nice appliances and plenty of coffee! Ending the day with a hottub that overlooks the valley with snow falling was surreal. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at Tahoe's Treehouse for a week and had a great time! We walked to the ski lift daily and couldn't wait to get home to soak in the hot tub. My wife said the robes were great, I loved the shower and we both loved the comfortable bed. Everything was top quality and appeared to be new. Very clean with beautiful wood moldings everywhere. The location is perfect right by the ski lift and close to the casinos. The owner was very attentive and knowledgeable. When we visit Lake Tahoe again we'll definitely stay here. Great find!

Best of the best in Tahoe. They've thought of every luxury, from the sheets to tempurpedic mattresses to the robes...even heated toilet seats and more. The fireplace is more beautiful than the photos indicate, as is the view - which we enjoyed every night from the hot tub. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I are frequent travelers and utilize Vrbo often. This was our favorite stay to date. We loved the location, so close to town, casinos and hiking. We loved the beautiful and artistically designed wood interior. It was very warm and inviting. We loved the sophisticated details like the shower heads, limestone and onyx floors and huge hot tub. It's clear the owner cares very much about her vacation home and her guests. We felt pampered in every way and look forward to returning.

What a special home! We were looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. What we found was a beautifully appointed romantic hideaway in the mountains. A couple of things were mentioning, the rock fireplace was very nice, my wife enjoyed the bear decorated china and I enjoyed what she put on the china. The shower was unique and I enjoyed it as much as the outdoor shower in Thailand. The beds as many others have commented on were very comfortable and it was handy to read the guide books on where to go in Lake Tahoe. We highly recommend this rental to other Vrbo vacationers.

The drive from my house to your condo was a true transition. The drive became a wonderland and we got more excited at the landscape with each turn. I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a winter vacation! We climbed the stairs, opened the door and saw a warm inviting space, fully equipped with everything we could need. The fireplace turns on at the flip of a switch, tons of games and cards, DVD movies, complimentary Starbucks coffee, huge towels, robes and the beds were super comfy (always a worry for me when traveling) and the condo was spotless with so many windows yet every inch of the interior was pine, we felt we were in a tree house. We'd love to stay here again next visit to Tahoe. Much better then any hotel I've ever been to there, (the hotels in Tahoe are a little bit dated). Probably my favorite amenity was the hot tub, it's the fancy deep kind! My idea of heaven after a long day of skiing.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations that I have ever taken. Being this close to nature was wonderful - I could almost reach out and pick pine cones! The view was stunning, the location was very private, the hot tub soothing and the owner has an eye for attention to detail inside this beautiful condo. I researched several other places in the vicinity and they were more expensive without the amenities. Despite my workaholic nature, I relaxed enough to sleep soundly in the comfy oversized bed and so appreciated the thick towels and robes. Thanks Linda for making this a fabulous place to stay !

I was lucky to find the perfect condo in Lake Tahoe for a girls getaway trip. This place is beautifully appointed. They had many upgrades from what I have usually found in renting a place. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and look like they are out of a design magazine. The bedding was super nice and cozy, along with the towels, robes and all kitchen gadgets we needed. Gorgeous views from the window made it a great combo of enjoying nature and being pampered. We spent time together in the hot tub catching up with our lives and felt like we were in a beautiful resort. All the restaurants and shopping and casinos are close by as well. I can't say enough about my experience. I will be back. Thank you!!
