Lovely home walking distance to Metro! Reasonably priced and the teenagers in our group loved being in a house compared to a hotel room. They had their own space and enjoyed the trip. Would definitely go back, I would love to stay longer next time! Thanks Patrick!

Merced, CAGreat House/Great Location
Left on 04/20/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We recently stayed here with 6 adults and 4 kids. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Patrick was a great host. He met us on our late arrival and was there the next day to cart us to the grocery store. There is a computer/printer available on site for use along with free wi-fi. The laundry room in basement was much needed towards the end of a long week. The Metro is a short walk from the house. The bus stop is even closer. White House and Mall area are even within walking distance (approx 1.5 miles to WH) if you are up to it. I would highly recommend this house for your vacation stay.

Akron, OhioLovely, Spacious Home and Gracious Host
Left on 12/07/2010 for a stay in December 2010
I traveled from Ohio with my class of 8th graders and we were blown away by the house and how nice Patrick was upon our arrival. Not only was it lovely and in a good neighborhood, the logistics worked out perfectly for sleeping 10 kids and 4 chaperons - plenty of bathrooms and sleeping areas, lovely kitchen, and Patrick was available for any questions we had. Where you stay can make or break a trip like this and ours would not have been nearly as great if we hadn't had such a great place to stay.

Burlington, VermontLovely guest house in great neighborhood
Left on 11/19/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We are a group of sisters of a certain age who get together annually for a long weekend in a fun place. We like to rent houses rather than hotels so we can cook and hang out together. We were challenged to find something suitable in D.C. -- until we found this guest house. It is a charming townhouse, comfortably furnished, very clean, with excellent beds, linens and amenities. We felt immediately at home. Patrick welcomed us upon arrival and drove us to a grocery store to stock up on food and wine for a long weekend stay. The neighborhood was charming, and we walked the six or so blocks to the Metro (subway) at all times of the day and night without concern. We took the Metro everywhere, and there was a bus stop a block away. The price was very reasonable -- particularly when compared to the cost of DC hotels. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others who travel with family or couples groups and like to share common space. An excellent value.

CincinnatiAwesome time in Washington DC
Left on 10/18/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Our experience here in Washington, DC was fantastic. We so enjoyed staying at this particular row house. We had plenty of room for the six of us. Patrick was there to greet us upon our arrival. He was an excellent host. He took us to get groceries and gave us a quick tour of the area, pointing out restaruants and where to find the Metro trains.

Tucson Travellers
Tucson, AZFamily vacation to DC
Left on 08/31/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My husband and I travelled to DC with our two 20 yr old college student sons and both of our mothers who are in their 70's. This was a great house for our family. We had plenty of room and bathrooms for all. The house was well appointed, well maintained and clean. There was plenty of room for all at the dining table. The kitchen was very nice. Having a full size frig, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer was great. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans and central aC. The off -street parking in the garage was great. It is a convenient location to see DC, however, the house was farther from a metro station than we thought. It was too far for all in our party to walk, so my husband dropped us at the stop, drove the car back to the house and then walked back to the metro stop. After two days off doing this routine at the beginning and end of the day, we said forget it and just drove into town and paid for parking. We did not have problems finding a public parking lot and the price was no different than metro tickets for 6 of us. There were Tv's in every bedroom, but no TV in the main living area of the house. There is a large sitting area in the downstairs room, but the steps down there were too steep for our mothers to climb. It turned out to be irrelevant, because we got in so late in the evenings that we didn't watch TV anyway! Having a computer with internet in the house was very helpful. Patrick and Cleo were great hosts and helped with everything we asked. They also returned my security deposit promptly. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this home to others with a large group, however there are no bedrooms on the main level, so consider that for any disabled people. We wanted to stay in a row house to get a feel for the area in a more authentic way, rather than just be in a hotel that would be the same in any location. We had a great time.

York, PennsylvaniaThe whole family agreed the house was wonderful

The house had everything our family needed. It is a large spaceious home, decorated beautifully. We left our cars in the garage and walked to the Metro everyday, it was a ten minute walk. Patrick is a wonderful host, he gave us the grand tour when we arrived, even showed us how to get to the Metro, and helped us carry in all our stuff. There is nothing not to like about the location and house.
