This Fabulous town house is located on the upper three floors of a two unit building. It is located one block from the Booming Arts and Restaurant District of 14th Street and one block from Whole Foods. It is just four blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro and a 20 minute walk to the White House and a 30 minute walk to the Washington Monument and many Historical Sites. It is about a 20 minute walk to George Washington University and 30 minute walk to Georgetown. It is also just a ten minute Cab ride to the Washington Convention Center or a 20 minute walk!

When booking the process was smoth and well handled. However with 2 weeks to go before our trip from the UK I sent various emails to the same contact that I used for booking to enquire about access arrangments/keys etc but unfortunately none of these were answered. Eventually I had to call to request this information.
Upon arrival at the property bags of trash had been left on the sidewalk directly in front of the property even though there were bins at the side of the property and this did not create a good first impression. The keys were not left in the lock box as arranged but by chance within a few minutes a cleaner turned up to finish cleaning the property and he let us in. We did arrive at the agreed time and this was not because we arrived early.
The photographs on the website looked as though they had been edited in some way and upon arrival this definitely appeared to be the case. The property is not at all as light inside as the photographs portary. The property itself is well equiped but in need of general decoration with lots of marks on various walls. Broken tiles in the main bathroom with wet and smelly bath mats left on the floor which were removed by us as we did not wish to use them in that state. Door in the bathroom was hanging off its hinges. Washing from the previous occupants was left in the dryer and we had to empty it and fold it up before we could use it ourselves.
Property is in a good location for getting around but we would not consider staying here again. -

Can't say enough good things about this super well equipped unit. 6 of our family (adults) enjoyed 6 days in the townhouse over Thanksgiving. We were able to do up a full Turkey dinner thanks to a well-appointed kitchen and the fact that Safeway and a gorgeous Whole Foods are just 5 minutes away. Paul, the owner was kind enough to bring in extra dining chairs just for the occasion. He was also very helpful to explain the workings of the huge Plasma TV and the challenging thermostat by the washer and dryer. The unit is very convenient to see the city. While the Metro at Dupont circle is a brisk 10-12 minute walk, you can catch a cheaper bus downtown just around the corner on 14th. Check out the restaurant scene on 14th while you are there. We had a fun lunch at the family run Great Wall Szechuan House and a foodie extravaganza one night at Birch & Barley...save room for dessert, you won't regret it. In all, if you are traveling with a group to DC (the unit can sleep 7) I think you would find excellent value and convenience staying here. I am already planning to book for my son's graduation in 2013.
