The Columbia River Gorge Guest House is an affordable B & B/ Hostel located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Guest accommodations include private rooms with baths, access to the community kitchen/ great room and a continental breakfast. The guest house is located on a 43 acre horse ranch in rural SW Washington. Nearby are unlimited opportunities to hike, bike, river raft, windsurf, golf or visit regional wineries and eateries. The proprietors have lived in the area for 35 years and can provide detailed trail information and assist in guiding you to places 'off the beaten path'. The guest house is located 17.7 miles east of the intersection of WA State Highway 14 and Interstate 205. Belle Center Road connects with Highway 14 at the 23.5 milemarker. The only way to turn off of highway 14 is north. The guest house is 1.222 miles from this intersection, on the right hand side of the road. If you get to the stop sign, you've gone too far. Stayed here three nights with extended family and friends. We cooked food for our oldest daughter's wedding reception nearby. The kitchen is well-furnished with prep areas, cutting boards, implements, pans, pots and tools. Ample cups, mugs, wine glasses. Beds in the main rooms very comfortable. Bunk room beds are best for kids, my 6 foot+ tall son found them a little short but he was only with us for the last night. Lovely views from the kitchen diningroom windows, bird-feeders, etc. Ample outdoor seating and tables under the canopy.
Fire ring bench seating a perfect touch for the evening's finale. -

Pretty much the best of everything. Wonderful, clean, unique rooms, great gathering places, delicious breakfasts, very special location. All of these great amenities plus warm and helpful hosts that made the visit so much richer. They shared their knowledge of the area, that allowed us to hike and discover spots we would never have known existed. Both Steve and Elsie were very generous with the use of their house, allowing us to use the kitchen, laundry room, outdoor deck and grill when we liked. All of that plus the gorgeous Columbia river valley. Highly recommended.
