Cassurina - 2/3 Bed Coastal Cottage in Watamu

Cassurina is an old style colonial beachfront cottage set high up on a ridge overlooking the Indian Ocean and Watamu Marine Park. Set in a a rich indigenous forest with wonderful opportunities to spot the local flora and forna in the area.

There are two twin rooms, each with mosquito nets and fans - one with an ensuite bathroom and the other with a bathroom shared with a third, more open sleeping area, also with twin beds.

The Cottage is all laid out over one floor, with the bedrooms all connected by a long enclosed corridor along the front. The corridor leads up to a basic living area with sofas and chairs. Up a couple of step...s and there is a dining table for six guests inside.

At the front of the house, a terrace runs alongside, with sunbeds and spectacular views out over the ocean.

Watamu is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Located approximately 100km North of Mombasa, the waters are a protected Marine Park allowing spectacular opportunities for snorkelling and scuba-diving, with lovely corals and blizzards of colourful fish. The pristine white sands along Turtle Bay Beach are a haven for nesting Turtles, and every now and again you have the privilege to see the little rubbery turtle hatchlings make their first mad bid for the ocean. Watamu is a special place for all water sports, from Deep-Sea Fishing to Kite-Surfing and Kayaking. Close by is the protected Mida Creek and it's fabulous array of birdlife and mangrove forests - a trip to Watamu is not complete without a dhow trip to watch the spectacular sun-sets over Mida.
