Yin Yang House is a spectacular four bedroom house with unique pool feature. Set in the tranquil palm forests of Mida, Watamu, it is approximately two minutes walk to Mida Creek and ten minutes to the main beach of Turtle bay and the Watamu Marine Park. Three of the four bedrooms have private terraces and all four bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, overhead fans and mosquito nets. The entire house is beautifully designed throughout, including a small upper pool with a slide into the lower, larger pool outside. Mida is the palm forest and mangrove area surrounding the spectacular waters of Mida Creek in Watamu. The wildlife is varied and plenty, from Sykes monkeys to over 200 species of butterflies. Mida Creek itself offers wonderful opportunities for viewing birdlife and the beautiful mangrove area as well as water sports and creek fishing etc. Mida is just minutes away from the main beach in Watamu of Turtle Bay where the powder white sands meet the crystal clear protected waters of the Watamu Marine Park. There are opportunities to go Deep Sea Fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving as well as Kite-Surfing, Wind-surfing and sailing at the local hotels. Watamu is approximately 25 minutes drive from Malindi airport or two hours from Mombasa airport.

Just back from a perfect holiday at Yin Yang. If you are lucky enough to get the chance to go grab it! It is the ultimate place to relax in complete privacy - every where u look there is another comfortable place to curl up with a good book or have that afternoon snooze and then there is always the pool to dive into when you want to cool down. Although I was alone the design of the house is brilliant for families or groups with private access to the huge bedrooms with individual balconies to relax on - there is that word again!! The bathrooms are amazing too and the kitchen is perfect for those of you like me who like to spend their evenings cooking up the fabulous local seafood which can be brought to the door. Best of all though are the wonderful staff. Jackson and Christine looked after me so well and were like family by the time I left. Nothing is too much trouble and they really make the perfect place even more perfect. So that is the rave.
Bits of advice - if your are driving up from Mombasa for the first time as I was stock up in the Nakumatt supermarket there first and it will mean you can get everything you need and save lots as well. Also be prepared for up to 2 hours drive which can be a surprise if you haven't hit the google maps first (silly me). Also Malindi is only about a 15 minute drive and is a very interesting town and has some good shopping. But if you run out of anything the local supermarket has everything and there is a great wine and beer bar that is run by a really lovely guy. Lastly if you can take some music and some speakers as that is the only thing missing at the moment and I had to resort to the PC. But for the weary traveller or the well earned holiday maker this is the place to be - why pay more for a resort that has to be shared when you can have all that Yin Yang has to offer at a great price. -

Amazing place to spend quality time with your family and friends..
The design of the house is so well planned that u can have privacy and still gives u a feeling of a nice cosy home.
Kids loved the inside small pool as they could swim till late..
We all loved it.. And will definately recommend.. -

We stayed for a week in December. Arguably, one of the best properties in Watamu. Extremely attentive staff,very high-ended furnishing, amazing swimming pool and internal dip pool.Extravagantly large bed rooms, roof top terraces and balconies.
Caretaker introduced us to local fishermen, ensuring daily fresh supply of sea food.

We were lucky enough to stay in Yin Yang about a month after it opened...spacious cool rooms, great mattresses, clean, beautiful, and the pool is the best on the coast! We really enjoyed the design and well thought out layout of this house, from the rooms, to the pool, to the gazebo for BBQ, to the roof top terrace. Hope others will enjoy their stay as much a we did. Although, not too many or it will be fully booked when we want to go back!
