The Beachcomber is a lovely four bedroom house overlooking the stunning white sandy beach of Turtle Bay, Watamu. Set over two floors, the ground floor houses 2 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with overhead fans, mosquito nets and ensuite shower room and an additional single bed for a child. The bedrooms are off the bar and inside dining area and lead both into the kitchen one way and to the large inside living room with plenty of comfortable seating. Watamu is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Located approximately 100km North of Mombasa, the waters are a protected Marine Park allowing spectacular opportunities for snorkelling and scuba-diving, with lovely corals and blizzards of colourful fish. The pristine white sands along Turtle Bay Beach are a haven for nesting Turtles, and every now and again you have the privilege to see the little rubbery turtle hatchlings make their first mad bid for the ocean. Watamu is a special place for all water sports, from Deep-Sea Fishing to Kite-Surfing and Kayaking. Close by is the protected Mida Creek and it's fabulous array of birdlife and mangrove forests - a trip to Watamu is not complete without a dhow trip to watch the spectacular sun-sets over Mida.

What an incredible house! We had the most amazing few nights and just wish it could have lasted longer. The cook make some delicious recipes. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Get a group of people together and go!

We stayed here for 2 nights with 6 people. The house was much more better than I expected and its location is perfect, just in front of the beach! This house has nice space for gathering which we cannot have if we stay at hotel. we were really happy with all the facilities there and 2 nice staff, Jacob a cook and Mary a maid. Jacob cooked seafood which were brought by fishermans very well. I cannot explain enough how nice this place was for us...I can just recomment everybody to stay here if you are going to Watamu!

We stayed for a week at The Beachcomber in March 2012 - it was all we could have asked for. Jacob the resident cook, and Mary, the magnificent housekeeper, welcomed us with open arms - nothing was too much trouble. The house is so close to the spectacular beach, and only 15 minutes walk from the hotels and their water sports. Most of our time was spent lounging by the pool. A really relaxing holiday - we will be back!

Watamu, in our humble opinion, is the best location on the Kenya Coast, a true spot to relax and unwind from ones usually hectic life, no hassle of beach boys, fantastic beaches with minimal people around. As a family we have stayed at The Beachcomber a number of times over a fair few years and it never fails to live up to our expectations. The testament to how fantastic the property is and how great the staff are is the fact that we book it time and time again. Booking is a breeze, and Watamu Property Services are extremely well organized and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable. I would recommend using them without hesitation.
