Description from the manager
Watamu Tree House is a unique property designed over three towers using natural wood and Kitengela Glass throughout. Each tower houses a different bedroom and is set high above the tree canopy, the open windows framing the stunning views all around. A recent addition has been a star bed on top of one of the towers, complete with mosquito net and roof to allow a romantic night out in the elements whilst still being protected from them.
All three bedrooms have their own shower bathroom - the master bedroom looks out towards the Indian Ocean, whilst the 2nd and third bedrooms look out over the trees towards Mida Creek.

Additional Location Information
Watamu is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Located approximately 100km North of Mombasa, the waters are a protected Marine Park allowing spectacular opportunities for snorkelling and scuba-diving, with lovely corals and blizzards of colourful fish. The pristine white sands along Turtle Bay Beach are a haven for nesting Turtles, and every now and again you have the privilege to see the little rubbery turtle hatchlings make their first mad bid for the ocean. Watamu is a special place for all water sports, from Deep-Sea Fishing to Kite-Surfing and Kayaking. Close by is the protected Mida Creek and it's fabulous array of birdlife and mangrove forests - a trip to Watamu is not complete without a dhow trip to watch the spectacular sun-sets over Mida.

Amazing House, amazing staff and cook. Sami and Kingi were perfect. One of the best places on the Kenyan cost. The Treehouse is charming and comfortable and definitely unique.

Watamu is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Even during busy holiday times you can find yourself being almost alone on the gorgeous white sand beaches. The snorkeling is magical and you can swim to the Marine Park right from the beach. The house is gorgeous, Architectural Digest material, and absolutely beautiful with fabulous staff and cooks who prepare the most delicious food, seafood, tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, marvelous swahili dishes with coconut milk. I have stayed several times with groups of friends and everyone is just entranced with the beauty of the place. The staff help you feel very welcomed and taken care of. If you want to have the beach vacation that you will always dream of going back to again and again, then please stay at Watamu Tree House.

I stayed at Treehouse with my family in March 2012. We were 5 in total.
The kitengela window features are really beautiful and create an atmosphere of beauty and mystique. The rooftop bedroom has a breathtaking view and is perfect for watching the sunset! And then the stars at night! The beach is only a 10-15 minutes walk away. We found it deserted from dawn to dusk so there was a lot of privacy. Kingi, the resident chef, has lots of talent and is more than willing to learn new recipes. We bought fish from a fisherman who visited and Kingi prepared us our meals. On the first day, we showed him how to make a paella and even though it was his first time making it, it turned out excellently! Just remember to order in as many groceries as possible beforehand. For a relaxing holiday, in my opinion, it would be best to plan out all the meals for the whole stay in one go and ensure all the groceries are in place and that the kitchen team know what needs to be done. -

I recently spent four amazing nights in Watamu at the Treehouse. I was blown away by the unique architecture, amazing views and attention to detail.
Chef Richard was amazing and we absolutely adored the food, the juices and spending lazy afternoons sunburnt and satiated.
