Additional Location Information
Angels Rest is on Cove Mountain in Wears Valley. Our guests appreciate the quiet, private location, as well as the unobscured, panoramic view of the mountain ranges and the valley below.
Our cabin is on a cul-de-sac with only 3 other properties. Two of the other properties are buffered by trees; the other property is not a rental, so it is nearly always vacant, as the owner lives in Ohio. Parking is never a problem. The driveway can park 3-4 vehicles, and the cul-de-sac is handy for more parking space.
Angels Rest is about 15-20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Attractions there include: Tanger shopping outlets, Wonderworks (fun, interactive attraction),the Titanic Museum, Dixie Stampede dinner show, The Christmas Place, and activities like go-carts and bungee jumping.
Angels Rest is ideally situated only 2 miles from the "secret" Wears Valley entrance to the National Park. Stop at Metcalf Bottom when you get to the entrance, where the kids can play in the creek while you make use of the picnic tables and charcoal grills. Gatlinburg is a 15-20 minute gorgeous drive through the National Park from there.
If you feel like being active in nature, but not hanging out in the Park, you can go east toward Townsend, where you will find horseback riding, zip lines, and tube floating on the creek.
There's plenty to do and see, but we think Angels Rest Cabin's sunsets will be the memory you'll never forget!

Arlington, VirginiaLoveliest vacation I've ever taken
Left on 03/01/2013 for a stay in September 2012
My husband and I visited this lovely mountain home for a week in September as a sort of honeymoon getaway, and had the perfect week. Booking was a breeze, and the directions excellent to get to this remote location. The views are stunning, and the home well equipped. The kitchen is completely equipped, and the linens and beds extremely comfortable. The hot tub is very private and the home is spacious and comes with a variety of games, including billiards and Dvds. We had no reason to leave the entire week, save for a hike here and there. We would go again in a minute - it's a very peaceful spot, perfect for reading and reconnecting.

Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in October 2012
We rented angel's Rest and enjoyed one of the best weeks in our lives. We had children and grand children and all had room to spread out. The cabin was beautifully decorated inside and out. The view from the deck was amazing and could see for miles. Swings, rockers and grill on a huge wrap around deck. The kitchen has everything you could ever dream of. All the bedrooms were roomy and beautifuly decorated and equipped with tv/dvds. I would recommend angel's Rest to anyone who wants the greatest time of their lives!

Valparaiso, IndianaSo Peaceful - Best Place I've Ever Stayed at
Left on 08/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I started searching on Tripadvisor for a place to stay for our large family's first big vacation away from our local home area. For this trip, we decided a trip to visit Pigeon Forge and the Great Smokey Mountains.
This is my first experience doing a rental for a trip. In past shorter trips I had to either get a large hotel suite (expensive) or two rooms (also expensive) to accommodate myself, my wife, and our 6 kids (ages 2 to 12). I started looking into rentals that would fit our family, and we decided on angel's Rest based on the nice reviews and the location. We were looking for a "getaway" to not be bothered by all the hustle and bustle of the Pigeon Forge area (it's busy). We were really happy with our choice!
Getting the rental went really smooth ... the contract was straightforward and Lisa was very helpful with any questions we had.
We arrived on a Friday afternoon after a long 8 hour trip. If you are not used to hills, the drive up to angel's rest will require a low-gear on your car/van/truck (we traveled in a minivan). It's steep, but not anything we couldn't deal with. The obvious plus is that being steep, you get a nice, high-up view. It's a really good view ... the pictures don't really do it justice!
The cabin is very neatly appointed. It's decorated in a modern tasteful style on top of the cabin-esque look. The deck wraps around the side and back of the property offering nice views, and the windows out are also nice and big to give you much to look at. It's really fun actually watching storms roll on through ... back home in flat land you can't see nearly that far. They have a charcoal grill which I tried to use ... I'm not used to the charcoal way, but made due with it. Otherwise the cabin has all the comforts of home we needed ... plenty of room to not be in each other's face, and plenty to do. Kids really like the lower level with the video games, pool table, and Foosball. Mom and dad would relax on the porch swing taking in the views. And at the end of the day we all would crash in the very comfortable beds! My wife and I are envious from our own beds ... we need to upgrade ;)
Kitchen is well appointed with just about anything you need to cook what you'd need. There were plenty of left-behind seasonings and toppings to use, which helped in that there were less things we needed to buy.
Being a cabin, you are your own maid service for the duration of our stay (we stayed 10 days). Not too big a deal, but if you want to be waited on hand and foot, then a cabin isn't going to be your cup of tea. Also, you get to enjoy the things that happen with a home that isn't a large multi-unit building. In our case, we lost water completely late in the evening while our oldest son was showering. We called Lisa, who promptly started looking into the matter. By morning, she had sent over her maintenance man, Ken, to see what the issue was and if we needed anything. He got us some jugs of water and a cooler to help flush toilets while he went to investigate. Found out the community well had lost power, and the local power company was dispatched to fix it. After going out for the day we arrived back to find our water restored. This would be our only "glitch" for our trip.
In all, this was a great place to stay ... very much away from the busy areas but yet close enough to get there without too much of a drive. Great views, and a great owner that understands and helps when needed. I can only hope my future travel plans to other places would go so well. -

42251Beautiful and Relaxing! Amazing Hot Tub
Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in March 2012
I came here with my fiance for a relaxing vacation and we got so much more than that! The views were incredible and the air was fresh. The game room was amazing and it was so fun to play pool with the view of the mountains! The hot tub was fantastic. There were so many fantastic moments: relaxing in the hot tub with the bright stars and twinkling lights of the town below, enjoying a hot cup of coffee on the beautiful wrap around porch in the early morning or sitting on the porch swing with a glass of wine watching the stunning sunset. The state park was very close and had lots of fun hiking trails. The cabin was very clean- the wood floors looked newly waxed and the carpets appeared to be brand new. Couldn't ask for anything more! We will definitely be coming back soon- we hope to come back next during the fall color change! The owners and so nice and very helpful!

Greensboro, Ga.Great Getaway!!!
Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My wife and I over the past years have been to the
Pigeon Forge area quite a few times. Most often we
prefer to rent a cabin of some type but they have
usually been in some type of resort. How pleased
we were to find this one in an area that was not
so crowded and we did not hear sirens going off at
night. The cabin was beautifully decorated and
exceptionally clean. We had a great view of Wears
Valley and just a short drive in to all the attractions
of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin, the meals
and the attractions in the area are great but the hike
to Rainbow Falls nearly crippled my wife.(She is not use
to hiking.) -

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was amazing! It was the same weekend as the Scottish Festival in Gatlinburg and we had a wonderful time. We were close to the city for nice dinners and attractions and close to the country for hiking and waterfalls. The cabin was perfect for our needs and sitting in the hot tub lookin at the night sky over the Smokies was close to heaven. You will love this place!!

Left on 04/16/2010 for a stay in April 2010
My wife and I and teenage son stayed here for 8 nights in early April. We had a great time. The views from the cabin were fantastic! We had everything we needed in the cabin and the owners were great to deal with. My son spent most of thier time in the game room while my wife and I were mostly on the main level. We had great weather and spent most evenings on the deck watching the sunset. We also enjoyed the hot tub, which was positioned to give us complete privacy. We cooked most of our meals in the cabin and had everything we needed. We really like being in Wears Valley away from all the craziness of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Being able to access the national park via Metcaff Bottoms was great and saved a lot of time. I would recommend this cabin to any one. We had a great time and experience at Angel's Rest!

Left on 04/14/2010 for a stay in October 2008
From the minute we stepped out of the car we were
captured by the breathtaking view! I can't even
remember how many mountain ranges we
counted...absolutely beautiful. The cabin really is
more like a Fine mountain home. Loved the decor, and
the beds were great. The kitchen had everything we
needed and we loved the big dining area. By far my
favorite part was the large back porch/deck
overlooking those beautiful mountains. What a
fabulous place you have. thank you for sharing it.
