Description from the owner
Take Me To The River Weeki Wachee Florida. The river puts out 170 million gallons of fresh spring water every day! This awesome 1700 sq ft home sleeps 8 and has 2.5 baths and comes with 2 canoes and is a corner lot with intersecting water ways and water on two sides of the property. See all kinds of wildlife right in front of the house; manatees and sometimes dolphins swim by, otters, fish jumping all the time, throw out the crab cage and catch blue crabs right off the docks in front of the house, turtles, and lots of birds. The water is so calm it reflects the trees, the sun even the moon-see the pics of the porch showing the reflection...Read more

Additional Location Information
The Weeki Wachee River is a hidden treasure and many Floridians don't even know it exists. Most of the river is a clear blue-green water with a sandy bottom and is used for seeing the manatees in their natural habitat, tubing, kayaking/canoeing, boating, swiming, fishing, crabbing. It is full of nature and the river is so serene and the natural surroundings are so beautiful that you can barely take it all in. The house is on a culdasac and ends at the water and is the last house on the street and has water on two sides. It has two docks, one 14' and the other 16' so you can bring your own kayak/canoe/boat or use the two canoes that come with the home. Sit on the dock and fish or crab or just enjoy the water. Swim in front of the house or go out on the river. You can bring your own boat and/or RV and park it out front. There are many public docks to launch your boat and you can dock it in front of the house. The water has direct acces to the Gulf of Mexico...see the aerial picture in the photographs section. Most of the neighbors are snow birds or weekends and the neighborhood is very quiet.

Owner
Thank you Laurie for your stay and for your review. I know the review was a challenge but I do appreciate you taking the effort to get it done. Thanks for referring friends and family coming to the area. I am always improving the house and next time there will be more canoes/kayaks/jon boat etc. and I should have wireless internet instead of modem hook up. That is very easy to do. Glad you had a good stay and I hope you get the chance to visit again. The Weeki Wachee River is awesome year round and is even nice in the cooler weather to just take in the nature.
