Additional notes from owner
FYI: BIKE WEEK RESERVATIONS. Laconia Bike Week is June 9th through the 17th this year. I prefer not to split the week. However, if I do, I have a waiting list for the back half already. This event is the peak rental rate in the Weirs. Our cottage is right on the "Ground Zero" of bike week (see pic). The advantage to this location is that you don't have to communte with the regular bike traffic to enjoy the bands at the Lobster Pound, rock out at the Paradise Beach Club, indulge in the dozens of eateries within the event or just hang out on the beach. Most importantly you won't be drinking and driving! Staying within the Weirs prevents you from joining the wall of shame of "coming on vacation, going home on probation!" Get a group of 3 couples and have a great time.

In the description of the rental it says you need to bring nothing but the groceries, and this is so true. Everything is literally there for you. Judy, the owner could not have been more acommodating, friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a great week at Judy's place as did our three female teenagers, 20 year old male, myself, husband and an aunt. It was a great way to end the summer. Don't miss out on Judy's rental and exceptional hospitality!

Felt so nice to stay in a place that was not a hotel. The location was excellent. Everything was close by within walking distance. Judy was very helpful and friendly. Made us feel comfortable the entire time. We would definitly stay again if we go back to Weirs Beach. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable even if the weather did not cooperate the entire time. At least we had a nice place to go to.

Judy and Robert welcomed us with open arms. The house was immaculate and stocked with everything except food. Garage provided for inside parking. There were two couples and we had plenty of room. The house is actually much bigger than the pictures indicate. Beautiful views and close to everything. The downstairs deck has everything you need to enjoy a day or evening cooking or relaxing, again, with a wonderful view. I personally loved the top deck. It's a birds-eye view. Your literally across the street from the beach, maybe a block from the train station, Lobster Pound restaurant (which serves great lobster), arcades, pier with boat rides. Judy and Robert did the towels and sheets and I'm sure would have attended any problems we would have had, but, we didn't have any. They were alot of fun. I would definately recommend this home for anyone who wants to go to this area. We went to Mt. Washington, a Mansion in the Clouds, and to just about everything around. Since we were there in the summer there was no skiing, but we did see snow on Mt. Washington. It is a wonderful place and I can't say enough great things about the area, the home and Judy and Robert. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. It was wonderful. Thank you so much to Judy and Robert!!!

If you are looking for a cozy and clean place to stay this is it.
This cottage is adorable and all updated--it has everything you could possibly need.
It is located right at the Weirs so you can just park your car and walk. It is an excellent location to just relax or as a base for your adventures.
Judy and Robert go out of their way to make you fell right at home-it is absolutely great!Response from Robert & Judy Krahulec - 06/03/2012

We got more than we expected by choosing this incredible cottage for our anniversary weekend getaway! Weirs Beach is an awesome location, and Robert and Judy's cottage has a great view of the lake. The cottage has more than enough room to move about, and the decor is beautiful. The pictures that are posted are excellent, but they don't do the place justice. It's incredibly clean and even smells wonderful! Robert and Judy are a great couple to have as hosts (and inevitably friends). They are very attentive to guests' needs, but they give you plenty of privacy so that you can enjoy your stay however you desire. But... if you're feeling talkative, they both offer engaging conversation! ;)
We look forward to our next stay here. We have found our anniversary destination for as many years as Robert and Judy will have us. Once you stay at their Sophisticated Cottage Retreat, I'm positive you will feel the same.
The only things you will need to bring are clothes and groceries! Robert and Judy provide everything else! We had an amazing weekend that was over all too soon. We will be back.
The only downside: We are ruined for hotels now!!! After staying here, no hotel room is going to compare. -

We loved staying at this cottage. It is really a home away from home. It had everything that you would need in the cottage and was close to everything. The town was very quiet at this time of year and not everything was open in town. I think over the summer the town would have more to offer. But the view of the lake was awesome and the Krahulec's are very hospitible. Judy even did a load of our personal laundry when we showed up which was greatly appreciated!! Over all a great place to stay and will do it again when we come back into town. Thanks Judy and Robert!!

Contacting Judy was always a breeze if you have any quesitons. I told her we would get there around 3:30 on Friday and we were welcomed at the door! If you need something, she/they are right there for you, but they don't hover. You really feel like part of the family! I went up to Weirs with my husband, sister-in-law her fiance'. We went there to see my brothers band play at the Paradise (not even a 10 minute walk). The railroad is practically across the street as well as arcade, stores, jet ski/boat rentals, waterslides, drive-in movie theatre and restaurants. The location could not be any better! The cottage was well kept, clean and beautiful! I'm trying to find an excuse to go back asap! Love it!

We spent one week at Judy and Robert's Weirs Beach cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was very clean and so nicely decorated with extra details for comfort and beauty. Judy and Robert are very warm and caring hosts; always giving above and beyond attention to their guests. Judy gave us all the information about the area, the restaurants, the attractions and she introduced us to wonderful people like Niel and Betty Young. We can say that we will be repeat customers and highly recommend the Krahulec's Weirs Beach cottage to everyone. Thank you, Judy and Robert, for a wonderful time.

We had a great weekend up in Weirs Beach at the cottage! We were greeted with a smile by Judy our host, who was very welcoming. We went with a group of 8 adults and all managed to find a comfy spot to sleep. The home is spacious and provided us with every amenity we needed. There was plenty of floor space for blow up mattresses! The cottage was within walking distance to all activities so the use of vehicles was very limited. There was a great porch with balcony which we used to take in the great view. We already are planning our next trip up to the cottage and are looking forward to staying again! Thanks Judy!!

My 4 teenagers and I rented "Sophisticated Cottage" the last week of July into the first week of august 2010. We were very pleased with the accomodations, location, and the hospitality of Judy and her husband was outstanding!
The cottage was imaculate, well stocked with the basics and then some. Judy (the homeowner) even did our laundry linens for us which were also supplied. We had family up for a cookout on the deck and they too were impressed asking "how did you ever find this place?"
The view was wonderful from the house of Lake Winnipesaukee and within walking distance to much of the areas tourism spots. When I was a teenager my friend and I swore that one day we would rent a place at Weirs Beach, and I couldn't have been more pleased with where I finally made that childhood dream come true. My kids will now have memories of their own at "The Weirs" in a cottage that made us feel at home. Thanks Judy and Rob for a wonderful time. God bless you both!Response from Robert & Judy Krahulec - 08/14/2010

Howdy from the great state of Texas!
I would just like to note that not only is it always so much fun to go to Weirs Beach on vacation but it makes it ten times more enjoyable to stay at the Cottage on the Weirs with Robert and Judy Krahulec. The location, price and the cottage itself is the entire package of luxury. Having Robert and Judy as such great and wonderful people is just the cherry on top.
Not only will I continue to stay at the Cottage on The Weirs but I will continue to recommend it to friends and of course family ;)
Thank you Judy and Robert for making every visit so comfortable and luxurious!
Till next time... Cheers!!Response from Robert & Judy Krahulec - 06/08/2010

Left on 02/12/2010 for a stay in June 2008
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this cottage in June 2006 and 2008. It was well equipped and emaculate. Although smack dab in the middle of the main part of town, we slept like babies after many nights of fun, meals, and socializing. It is the perfect place to share with a large family or multiple couples. The location is ideal-overlooking the lake, with access to restaurants, bars and park. Owners- Judy and Robert were more than hospitable. They know everyone in town and can recommend any excursions including great food, shopping and site seeing. We tell everyone who wants to travel to the East coast to rent this cottage. We hope to return this June to see our new found friends and enjoy this beautiful home and all of its surroundings.

My Wife our 14 year old Son and I spent the better part of July 09 at the cottage and had a excellent time. My Son and his friends had a blast at the water park as well as the beach - not to mention all the great things to do on the boardwalk. Across the street the lake has life guards on duty during the day and the beach is cleaned and groomed each morning. The fireworks are awesome and they are shot off directly in front of the cottage over the lake - you couldn't ask for a better location. The cottage is a home away from home and very comfortable. We got to relax in front of the fireplace and get caught up on emails with the available Wi-Fi. Everything from ice cream to arcades to are within walking distance making for easy and stress free days. You can go for a cruise around the lake on the Mount Washington or hop on the old train and just go for a scenic ride and never take your car out of the driveway. Robert and Judy are outstanding hosts and the kind of folks you want as neighbors. The amenities are new and in perfect working order - this is not roughing it in a creaky old cottage. We are looking forward to going back to Lake Winnipesaukee and relaxing New Hampshire style.

I have been lucky enough to stay in Weirs Beach 4 times and each time has been a wonderful stay. Judy and Robert can't do enough to ensure you are taken care of. The cottage is very clean and is set up with a kitchen that is fully equipped. It is located in a perfect location across the street from the lake. We also take in the Nascar races in Loudon which is nearby so that is a bonus for us. As per my rating above I highly recommend this vacation home in New Hampshire.
