rocky mount, nc, United StatesVery nice!
Left on 02/26/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Before arriving, we weren't sure how nice it was going to be and when we walked in our mouths dropped! It was just beautiful! The hot tub, the deck, inside was very clean! Only complaint I have is when we went to cook with your pans and bowls they weren't clean and we had to rewash them. Also maybe a suggestion put up two windows or some kind of way to block wind from hitting the hot tub! Other than that what an awesome cabin and experience! Thank you!
One more thing, people going to stay make sure you print out directions and use them instead of a GPS, the GPS will take you past the cabin!Response from Ashe High Country Vacations LLC - 02/26/2013

Thank you for the wonderful review and your feedback. Dishes are one of the few things we ask vacationers to do before they leave so I am guessing the dishwasher may not have cut it this time and they got put up by mistake. We appreciate feedback and suggestions to make the cabin even more wonderful. We always recommend Google Maps in this area as GPS is unrealiable in the mountains.

Left on 02/12/2013 for a stay in February 2013
My fiancé wanted a getaway in the mountains for her birthday. We invited to friends to join us and we had an absolute fun time. We found it hard to break away from the cabin to venture out into nearby locations because of the overall comfort and appeal of the cabin

burlington, nc, United StatesWe had a GREAT CHRISTMAS VACATION!!!!
Left on 01/05/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My family and I loved our Christmas vacation in this beautiful cabin. The cabin had a great cozy feel, yet it did not feel cramped. We were pleasantly surprised at how big it actually was. The pictures made it look much smaller than it was. We found it to be very clean, well stocked and in excellent condition. I especially loved the hot tub on the deck. It was nice sitting in it watching it snow around us, yet not on us. No real criticisms, just a couple suggestions. Maybe have a set of roll down blinds or screen on back side of hot tub to block the wind for winter time users. And the furniture looked great, just not very comfortable. We own a furniture store, so maybe just a little picky in that respect. I feel a little guilty even mentioning those things since we had such a great time. we spent the first 2 days back at home saying....can't we just go back to the cabin? We would highly recommend this cabin and the staff, both were wonderful. We hope to come back in a year or two. Thanks again!!

Very nice and pretty place ,not to far from the city, the cabin had everything even a mixer to do cakes.......the only bad thing, hope no body gets a stomach virus the first night you have to buy your own toilet paper!

Ashe High Country Vacations as a courtesy offers a limited supply of toileties and paper products for our guests, we take into consideration our guests who may arrive later in the night. It is also clearly advised in our check in instructions that guests will need to bring extra or make a stop on your way in to town. So please make a note of this, we're also always happy to answer any specific questions on what you may or may not need to bring, just ask.

Alexandria, VA, United StatesA cabin in the trees

This is a lovely cabin very well maintained nestled on a hillside surrounded by trees. Nearby parks and the New River offer several options on things to do during the day.

Awesome cabin, We saw a bunch of deer the very first night. The cabin is clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The town of West Jefferson is a quaint little mountain town with one of the best pubs I have ever been to (BLAck JAcks I believe)....get the Jack burger. The hot tub was awesome. Only thing that may need attention is there are no interior latch locks for added security. If you use a keycode or lockbox system there should be a way to secure the interior so even if you no the code no one can get in. A 10 dollar fix for the added piece of mind. The linen and blankets were all very cozy! Oh and the fireplace is very nice!

Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Great cabin. Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The cabin was well-stocked and very nicely kept. The upstairs bedroom was more like a loft, than a bedroom.(No door) Otherwise, it was perfect. Easy to get to. Enjoyed the hot tub and rocking chairs on the deck. Would rent this one again. Close to grocery store, and not far from the New River activities. We enjoyed horse back riding at Burnt Hill stables and Zaloo's Canoes(tubing). downtown west Jesfferson was also fun for shopping.

Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Note the five stars for condition, cleanliness, and professional management. The place was 100% ready for rental with good communications and everything ready for quick and easy move-in. Location is mostly quiet with a road below through the trees that gets just a few cars per hour. Not much of a scenic view since you are tucked into the woods, but that's what we wanted this trip. Grill and hot tub worked great like everything else.

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Sweet cabin tucked in the woods yet near to town. Screen doors make it easy to let the fresh mountain air breeze through the cabin. Hot tub a nice relax. Deer strolling through the woodlands. Some road noise thanks to locals with loud pipes, but only occasionally. Looks like neighbors building soon may impinge on hot tub privacy if you like to enjoy it in the nude. Nice get-away.

This was a working vacation for us. It was wonderful coming HOME to a clean cool cabin, nestled amoung the trees and wildlife. That porch and hot tub were excatly what we needed after being out in the 95 degree heat all day. We are planning a REAL vacation in this same cabin....

Left on 06/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We instantly fell in love with this place. It was wonderfully secluded...perfect for our honeymoon, yet still close enough to grocery stores, etc. We loved the hot tub on the back porch. We plan to go back every year for our anniversary! The only negative was the big black ants we occasionally found wandering through the cabin. Overall, best vacation ever!!!

Thank you for the feedback and wonderful review. Ants have been a bit of a problem with this year but have since been taken care of. Thanks for letting us know so we could remedy the issue.

Left on 02/14/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The cabin was very pretty, well decorated, and clean. We had to buy toilet paper, but that was all. And if we had needed to wash clothes, we did not have any detergent. My only other suggestion was that the living room furniture be a little bigger/more comfortable for lounging...and side tables on both ends of the couch is always a good idea. Other than that...a beautiful place to stay.

Left on 02/07/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We very much enjoyed our stay at Maple Tree. The house is adorable and comfortable. We had an issue with the hot tub and the staff was very responsive. Upstairs bed wasn't very comfortable, but overall the stay was very pleasant.

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Our weekend at the cabin was absolutely delightful.
I was expecting to find a kitchen with just the basics for food prep and eating. I was surprised to find all the comforts of home. It was like I walked into someone elses fully functioning kitchen. How nice.
I don't know anything about hot tubs, so I didnt know what to expect. It was so simple and ready to go when we got there.
Everything was prefectly perfect. I would visit again for sure! -

Me and my wife went to stay in this cabin for her birthday. We immediately fell in love with this small cozy cabin. She loved it so much that we are currently looking into floor plans like the home to build on our property. A great home for a weekend getaway! Also, the staff at adhere county vacation rentals were very easy to deal with and made the stay easier altogether.

Left on 11/01/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We were very happy with our stay at the cabin. We loved the location and almost everything about the cabin. The only thing that we would have changed would have been the living room furniture, mainly the couch. It wasn't very comfortable for the two of us to lay back and relax on together. I have already recommended this cabin to a friend who is planning on a get away and my husband and I have already talked about coming back.
