This cabin is the perfect place to get away for a weekend or a week. It is out in the country where the stars shine brightly at night. The cabin is clean and inviting & one feels they have arrived at home when they step inside the door. It is adequately supplied with linens & cookware & dishes. So whether you want to enjoy the out of doors on the porch swing, or curl up inside in front of the fireplace with a good book, it is a great place to relax. Then, when you're ready for a change of scenery, there are many places near by to explore and enjoy and great places to eat.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in High Country Haven. This was a last minute trip for us and working with Jean was a pleasure. Everything was just perfect and we hope to come again. The cabin is in a great location. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The deck is great, so relaxing sitting in the shade. I would recommend this cabin to everyone.

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed spending time at High Country Haven. I have been there several times and I have enjoyed every one. The last time was Memorial Day weekend. We had a good time getting up late, having a good breakfast, lying around and just being lazy. We also went to the General Store in Todd. High Country is close to West Jefferson and there are a lot of fun things to do going on in and around West Jefferson. You can also enjoy a fun day at Tweetsie Railroad or enjoy a day in Boone. You just need to spend some time at High Country and enjoy!!!

I am so happy that I vacationed at High Country Haven with my family. The view from the cozy cottage was gorgeous as we looked down across the valley and up into more mountains. The sunset was spectacular. Go there, you won't be disappointed in any way, shape or form.

Wow, this was our second time to this sweet cottage and we must say it was sooo relaxing.We were able to enjoy the local culture such as the local farmer's market, a down home fish fry and local music. The morning walks made you glad to be alive. There is a Christmas in July event that will be our next trip.If you are looking to relax and unwind this is the spot. The owners were great and gave us lots of suggestions regarding things to see. The cottage is very well maintained and spotless. We will return. Thanks again.

This is a lovely house located in a very nice part of West Jefferson. Its nestled in a beautiful spot in the woods that provides a great sense off of a seclusion and privacy. The house is wonderfully decorated and very cozy on the inside. It is well stocked with the basic pots/pans, etc that you might need to cook dinner and has very comfortable furniture. The location is wonderful, it is an easy drive from Charlotte and provides easy access to the Boone/Blowing Rock area as well as the Parkway. I really enjoyed renting this house and hope to return again another weekend soon. I high recomend this house if you are looking for a Mountain get-away!
