We were fortunate to have spent several 2- and 3-week stays at Runyon's and loved every moment. We had family (grown kids and grandkids) come up for several extended weekends and they always wanted to come back. One of the best parts of the stay were always the meals on the deck outside the kitchen overlooking Vineyard Sound off in the distance. The hilltop grounds are lovely with plenty of room for the dog to chase a frisbee or ball. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans, bar-b-que and anything else one might image needing.
We jogged on the seldom used gravel road leading to the house and in the area and often walked the short distance to the almost deserted beach. Biking on Martha's Vineyard is always a joy (but beware of the traffic at the height of tourist season).
Our only recommendation was that air conditioning, even if it were of the window type, would have been welcomed on the few nights when even a room fan wasn't adequate.

We love this 5 acre property! It is on our favorite part of the island, walking distance to beautiful beaches, private, yet close to town. The home is secluded splendor, well laid out for a group, enjoys wonderful sunsets and has a huge lawn for croquet. The owners pay great attention to detail in order to make you stay comfortable. The home is nicely designed for an indoor/outdoor experience. The kitchen is well appointed and we have enjoyed many meals with candle light and music on the spacious outdoor deck. The best spots on the island are usually kept secret, so book early...but please don't take my week!

All around perfect setting to relax and unwind. This home boasts charm and comfort. It has plenty of space for a big family or a gathering of friends. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. While all of the modern technical conveniences are offered, grab a book from the extensive case and enjoy one of the decks. Check out the aerial view and see the expansive yard. Being a nature enthusiast, I particularly enjoyed the long walks on the relatively untravelled roads and secluded beach. Makonikey beach is quiet, very private and within walking distance. Along with great memories, I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. This home is well maintained and the owner makes you feel very welcome.
