All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Difficult to find down a narrow alleyway and not very imposing from the front but very well refurbished with wonderful views from the rear conservatory and bedrooms. Lots of space in all rooms and well furnished. Friendly locals in the village. Yorkshire dales are beautiful - just a shame it rained all week.

Spent a week in august 2011 with my adult family and a baby. The accommodation is of a very high standard and contains everything you need for a great holiday. The location is great with stunning views over the valley. Very handy for many attractions in the area.
The local pub (Fox and Hounds)sold a good range of real ales in a very fiendly atmosphere.
We had a great week in the cottage and only wish it could have been longer.
I would recommend this accommodation to anyone -

Stunning house and location.Almost perfect but had problems with the boiler which meant no hot water for two days.Seems this is a regular problem due to the oil-fired boiler.Wasn't fixed when we left

The owner apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of a one-off problem with the boiler and informs us that he has an ongoing maintenance contract with 24 hour call out. Website photos made me hopeful of having great views from luxury accomodation and we weren't disappointed!
The whole house was spacious, well furnished and clean and the conservatory deserves a special mention - large and with beautiful views along Wensleydale and across to Castle Bolton and the steam railway.
Very peaceful too.
My only minor criticism is that the very large kitchen is rather wastefully laid out. They could have made the kitchen area more compact, which would save on walking around it whilst preparing meals, and would have left space to have had a sofa or two to view the second flat screen tv.
