On the water at Lewis Bay, West Yarmouth, Ma., are two (2 side by side) cottages with a view of the sunset. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, full kitchens, Living rooms and one bath with shower stalls. Each cottage has lots of windows and sliders looking out at the water. The beach is 1/4 mile walk or less than 5 minute drive with no parking fees. Walk down our stairs to the water and fish or catch crabs and if you bring or rent a canoe or kayak then you can row from the cottages to the beach. We are 15 minutes from downtown Hyannis or Dennis. We are off Route 28 mid way between Hyannis and Dennis. We are on the warm water side of the Cape. Route 6 to Exit 7 will take you to the cottage. Quiet residential and rental neighborhood. On a water inlet which is connected to Lewis Bay.

We rented one side of the cottage for our elderly parents. There is one queen bed and 2 twin beds and they each had there own room. The cottage is small but a perfect size for them! They loved sitting at the kitchen table in the morning looking out at the osprey and birds over Mill Creek. The view is spectacular and gorgeous sunsets (thus the title!). The bathroom is small (only a shower,no tub) and the kitchen is tiny, but perfect for 2 or family with small children. We were concerned about steps as our parents are 93 and 89 years old. There are 2 steps up into the cottage and a small step down into the bathroom. This location is close to Rte. 28 restaurants, golf courses, beaches and shopping. The Colonial acres beach is at the end of the street. They loved it and we would rent again! Thank you!

Stayed with my two teenagers during July 2012 and had a good time. Located close to Bay (Warm water) beach and Mini Golf options. Also close to Hyannis.
Centrally located which made most Cape activities a short drive. -

My party and I rented both cottages for a week's stay last aug (2010). Between the two cottages, there were 4 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing, and yet the cottages were still really cozy. The yard was very quiet to lie out with a book and we enjoyed grilling out every night (except one when it rained and the full kitchen(ette) came in very handy!) and watching the sunset - which is gorgeous over the bay. We would take the kids on walks down to the beach and the beach was busy but not overly crowded and everyone on the street was in a good mood and friendly. Also there is a large shopping mall and grocery/drugs stores about 10-30 minutes away depending on traffic in case you forgot anything or want to stock up on more goodies for your trip! Hyannis and its shops are also very nearby. We took kayaks out on the bay down to the beach and the kids loved it. All in all it was a wonderful time for all of us.. I'm sure that if it's a getaway for two, it would be just as lovely.
