Snowmobiling trails are within 1/4 mile of the home. We are at the foot of Lions Head, Two Top, Madison Loop Trails, and Yellowstone Park or Island Park is a 15 minute ride. With over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails outside of Yellowstone National Park, this area is truly a snowmobilers favorite! The area is also home to cross country/nordic skiing. You can ski on our world famous Rendezvous Ski Trails groomed ski park, offering over 35 Kilometers of winding groomed trails that meander through the pristine Gallatin National Forest. Fifty miles north to Big Sky, MT, the best of Rocky Mountain downhill skiing is offered at two different resorts: Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. Snowshoeing is another winter activity you can do right out your front door through the forest!
West Yellowstone is located in the heart of fly-fishing country. Several of the most fabled streams and rivers in the world are within a five to sixty mile radius of the town, including the Madison River, Gallatin River, Yellowstone River, and Henry's Fork of the Snake River. High quality lake fishing is also available on Hebgen Lake and Quake Lake, Henry's Lake and Island Park Reservoir. All are a short drive from the vacation home.
We are immediately adjacent (within 1/4 mile) to the Gallatin National Forest and only 2 miles from lake fishing. Here you'll find Hebgen Lake at the South Fork of the Madison River with a public boat launch and dock for your use.
All of our guests find out very quickly just how handy it is to be very close to all activities; Hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, bird watching, cross country/nordic skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and of course Yellowstone National Park, which only 10 minutes away. River rafting on the Gallatin River is a great way to cool down on a hot summer day. Try a full or half day rafting adventure along the lower section of the river with lots of rapids. Horseback riding can be enjoyed at the Diamond P Ranch, located 2 miles from the home. Other outfitters can take your party into the back country of Yellowstone Park, or the surrounding National Forest Service land.
Don't want to drive around? Well then settle back for a BBQ on the spacious outside patio, or build a campfire in the fire pit for a evening of fun. In the mornings head out back with a fresh cup of hot coffee and enjoy moose, deer, a variety of birds, squirrels, marmots, and other wildlife literally wandering around the area.

What Past Guests Are Saying
A great log cabin that really allows you to experience nature fi
We enjoyed our time at the Phillips cabin so much. There are great trails all over so we had a great time snow shoeing around with our two kids. We also were able to cross country ski for the first time swells . I cant wait to go back in the summer months and do some of the best fishing and hiking around. With Yellow Stone National Park minutes from the cabin your right where you want to be.
Cozy cabin offers great atmosphere and hospitality
Cabin has several bedrooms to provide for a large group. We had a group of eight, no problem. Loved that it was well stocked with condiments, spices, oils for cooking and even provides laundry soap for the washer and dryer. Clean! Situated in a small quiet neighborhood with large lots. Nice scenery, we enjoyed walking around. 10 min. drive to W. Yellowstone. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic homely rustic home close to Yellowstone
We had a fantastic time at Moose Haven. The owner, Cameron, was really helpful with our booking and the location was close to the National Park and in a nicely secluded area. The home was rustic and very homely - we loved the personal touches and felt like we were sharing their home. The outside was great for Bbqs and we really enjoyed the fire pit - we bought one when we got back to the UK and enjoy using it - wish it had moose around the edge!! Great facilities inside - we went with our 2 daughters and their husbands and each of us had our own space and enjoyed our meals together and the communial area in the lounge. We would highly recommend Moose Haven and would definitely stay here again, if we ever came back to Yellowstone.

Great days and nights in the woods at Moose Haven
Stayed here in June and again in august for 3-4 nights. Very comfy place with complete kitchen and a great deck. It's an easy shot to Yellowstone Park as well as the Madison River and Island Park. Enclosed front porch is convenient for drying waders and storing fishing gear, bikes etc.

Great Stay in West Yellowstone!
This cabin is very nicely appointed and convenient to all that West Yellowstone has to offer. Only minutes to Yellowstone Park and any number of great fishing spots. Cabin itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay after a hard day in the great outdoors. Highly recommended!
