Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in January 2013
I found this villa here on Tripadvisor for about one year ago and loved the pictures. It was a long wait before takeoff and during that time Zofia sent me some updates and gave information to all my questions.
We arrived in time and had a car pre-booked from Gab's carrental. We were taken to the villa and the rental car was there. I loved the view from the moment we arrived.
The villa is set in a hill and the garden is beautiful. Coconut trees and and lovely flowers.
We were met by George who was very nice and showed us the villa and let us know how things worked. He even took us for a drive and showed us the neighbourhood and restaurants etc. The villa has 3 bedroom and we chose the blue one which is on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace.
I hadn't realised that the livingroom was totally open but that gave some extra tropical feel to it. We had a cat for visit one night and a dog visited one morning (there are gates to lock during nighttime and you can close even with sliding doors.
The best part of the experience is the outdoor living. The poolarea is even more beautiful than shown on pictures. There is something special when you can swim in a private pool, watching the sun go down. We did daytrips in the early mornings but always hurried back home to the house and the relaxed feel it gave us. It is as private as Zofia told me, we didn't need much swimwear for sunbathing :)
We stayed for 9 nights and had most of our evening meals in the villa, using the BBQ. The villa comes with maid-service. We had our bags unpacked and our room immacualtly cleaned by Gillian.
I recommend this villa if you enjoy beautiful sunsets in a beautiful surrounding. It is a 20 min drive to Grand anse-area. -

NEW YORK, NYWonderful home with magnificent views !!!
Left on 04/14/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Just returned from an 11 night stay at Heron's Flight Villa.
Arrived on February 26th--an hour late due to plane problems out of Miami---10:30 PM Grenada time. Marcus from Gabriel's Car Rental met us just outside the airport door and drove us to the villa where Tonya the Villa Manager met us and showed us around. Marcus had my car already positioned at the villa, and we completed the paperwork in 5 minutes.
My wife and I then watched the Oscars and settled in for a much deserved long sleep.
When I woke up to prepare coffee I walked out of the bedroom and immediately stopped dead in my tracks...I was looking at an unbelievable view---I stood there for ten minutes looking at a view that spanned long and wide at ocean, and bay.
We then went right to the gazebo and pool and stayed until 5 PM. At 3 PM I cancelled my reservation at the Beach House Restaurant. As I brought some quality meats from the states we decided to stay there and watch the sunset. The two grills at Heron's Flight are picture perfect, and as clean as a whistle. As a matter of fact our first dinner out wasn't until our fifth night on the Island !
The people that Zofia and Jerry have working there --namely Gilian, Tonya, and Domenic the gardener were extremely good, friendly people who were very concerned that your stay was relaxing and comfortable.
The gardens throughout the property are spectacular--we cut fresh flowers every morning to fill a vase on our dining table.
We had a family member in Barbados who didn't like her accomodations there so we invited her to come and stay with us, and she was thrilled when she arrived --she also loved Heron's Flight.
I could go on and on for hours, but if you are looking for a relaxing vacation for just the two of you, or with a full family this is your place. The bedrooms are spaced perfectly apart so everyone has their owm level of privacy, and the beds are extremely comfortable.
We absolutely loved the neighborhood that Heron's was in--gated community with beautiful homes everywhere---a great place to walk in the mornings or late evenings.
On your next visit to Grenada , make it at Heron's Flight. I know that we will be back ---hopefully sooner rather than later.
Thank you Zofia and Jerry for sharing your home with us...we Loved It !

Zofia, the owner is wonderful. She made booking the villa easy and even got a grocery list from us so that when we arrived, the refrigerator was already stocked. All we had to to is relax and enjoy our holiday!
We were met at the airport by Marcus Gabriel who owns the car rental service. He drove us to the villa and took care of all of the paperwork and licensing. The process was quick and painless. Although there are some companies which are less expensive, I would highly recommend Marcus. The few extra dollars are a small price to pay for the peace of mind that you get renting from him.
We were met at the villa by Tonya who is the property manager. She is a lovely woman and she explained everything to us before turning over the keys. She provided us with a telephone number in case we had any issues. She told us that Gillian (the housekeeper) would come on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but that she was flexible based on our needs. Gillian is a sweetheart! Don't be afraid to ask her to share a meal with you. You'll miss out if you don't take advantage of her company and get to know her. We did have a problem with the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms. We called Tonya and she had someone there the repair it that same day. Very prompt response and this was on a holiday! The villa is gorgeous! Take advantage of the lime trees to make your drinks! I have two suggestion to anyone visiting Grenada.
#1: Let your guard down. It may seem hard to believe, but the people really are that nice. The Grenadian people love their country and are glad to have you there. It seems like every Grenadian we met could have been a minister of tourism, from the merchants to the people we asked for directions. Engage with them our you will miss something special.
#2: beware of driving at night! It is an adventure and is not for the weak at heart. The roads are narrow, winding and the headlights coming from the opposite direction can be blinding.

Grenada is a nice island and Westerhall Point is a great location to stay. The views from the villa are very special.
Great pool and it is kept very clean. The gazebo and sun loungers were good too.
The staff keep the house clean and the gardens looking great.
We had not appreciated beforehand how open to the elements the general living areas would be. We found that in the evenings (when we were not elsewhere for dinner) the heat/humidity, the insects and the tree frogs' noise made us withdraw to the bedrooms. (The noise is not unpleasant, but is too loud for other things.) The bedrooms are not open and have good air-conditioning. The en-suite bathrooms are a bit basic, but perhaps normal for Grenada.
Some of the furniture and equipment is due for renewal. This is making it more difficult to describe the villa as "luxury". We would be more inclined to recommend the villa after it has had some refurbishment.
The internet access was excellent.
The processes for booking and for arrival/departure were very good.Response from Zofia&Jerry - 09/19/2011

Counting_boy, thank you for taking the time to write a review for your stay at the Heron"s Flight Villa. We are sad you didn't like the semi-open living area, as it seems to have been cherished by all our other guests! This is one of the features of our one-of-a-kind garden villa that makes it so special. Our guests always love the closeness and beauty of the gardens and the sea, as well as the privacy and quiet the villa provides. Fortunately, nature has a voice and it sounds like chirping frogs and singing birds! We understand it was hot when you went, as you went to the South Caribbean. It is unfortunate you didn't light a citronellas candle, of which they are many in the utility room that we supply for our guests. Our furniture, which has always been described as homey and comfortable, does take a beating as the villa is two steps from the sea, although we do often replace it. We are glad you like appreciate our location, pool, grounds our hard working dedicated team, and our speedy wireless internet connection.

We stayed in the Blue Room. Well appointed villa with a lovely terrace, perfect for breakfasts with a view. The pool was the cleanest I have ever seen, (and lightly chlorinated too).Well equipped kitchen. Hiring a car is useful from popping down to the local shop to exploring the island, the owners have a contact at a local firm. All in all, a home from home.

Chesterfield Englanda slice of paradise!
Left on 04/12/2010 for a stay in March 2010
We have just returned from our stay at Heron's flight. I can only try and put into words the most wonderful time we had. The villa surpassed our expectations. Gillian, the housekeeper was waiting patiently for us. Our arrival took longer than we thought. Our first impressions even though it was dark was "wow, what a place," the bedrooms were spacious, the rest of the house felt cool because it is open to the sea-breezes. I must admit the first thing we all did (after my husband downed a cold Carib beer, left by Gillian) was to jump in the pool!
The week was spent exploring the island. Beautiful deserted beaches, waterfalls, the rain forest. Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and greetings. Many of the people obviously do not have much money but we were never harassed, a polite "no thank you" was enough. The weather was perfect and what bliss it was to return to the villa and all have a cooling swim.
We ate in quite often because the setting of the villa was so beautiful that we were unwilling to get dressed up and leave it. Often we would pick up "jerk chicken" by the wayside and my husband became an expert cocktail maker.
I also took my two sons and a granddaughter on holiday. My ganddaghter who didn't swim discovered snorkelling in the pool and open sea over the coral reef! We fell in love with the island and its people.
Thanks to Zofia to her help and advice before the holiday. The villa was perfect, great amenities and the photos on the website do not do it justice. Only when you get there and see for yourself the panorama, feel the sea-breezes and sit having cocktails by the pool do you realise that "yes, you have found a slice of paradise!"

Heron's Flight Villa was an excellent choice for my long awaited vacation. The villa is located in a truly upscale area of Grenada, just 15 minutes away from world famous Grand Anse. Heron's Flight is a very peaceful place. I loved the tranquillity, simplicity, and amazing views. The Villa has a brilliant architectural design - semi open areas allow nature to blend and create an unusual climate. I have stayed in the "Blue Room", with a spectacular view of Westerhall peninsular and the ocean. The room was spacious - very clean and comfortable. The king size bed ensured a good night's sleep, along with falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. Good quality linens and towels was definitely a nice touch. The outside living/entertainment area was also comfortable with a cosy swimming pool surrounded with colourful plants and flowers. You can lay there on a comfortable cushioned chase long and enjoy splendid view and refreshing ocean breeze. I especially loved my afternoon naps in the hammock in the shade of the gazebo. The small, black sand beach below the garden is just perfect for an easy swim - and pretty good snorkelling too.
The property of Heron's Flight is spacious and very well maintained. There are lots of birds, including hummingbirds, and butterflies, feeding on bougainvilleas and oleanders. During my stay, I enjoyed fresh mangoes from the garden, and even made my own lime squash with limes right from the trees!
I was thrilled to see the kitchen was so well equipped, with good quality pots and pans, nice dishes and all the tools - even a coffee grinder and French press. And the internet never failed.
I appreciated the serenity of Heron's Flight, and the unlimited privacy and affordability.
Having a car was very helpful for exploring this beautiful island, and the owner helped me with that.
All in all, Heron's Flight is a very magic, relaxing place to spend a holiday. It is a real home away from home, where you can have a morning coffee on a patio still in your pyjamas... I would recommend Heron's Flight to anyone who is looking for tranquillity and quality and appreciate privacy.

Arlington, Virginia, USAHeron's Flight - A Perfect Island Getaway!
Left on 07/28/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Heron's Flight was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation! We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was very private and beautiful that we were content just staying at the villa most days. The pictures and description were very accurate but we were surprised at the beauty of the ocean and sky that the camera cannot capture. The villa was well maintained and we enjoyed the open air living room. The villa had great amenities such as the pool and gazebo, tv, dvd player, snorkeling things, and a small beach. A housekeeper helped us with our questions, and came to clean twice during the week. The owner helped us set up restaurant reservations and other activities such as massages and a car for driving around the island. The car was a definite must have (as is a good map!) and it was great to have Marcus pick us up at the airport. We enjoyed driving around the island, seeing a waterfall, and visiting Clarke's Court Distillery. We would love to go back to Heron's Flight and would definitely recommend this villa.
