Description from the owner
Its a house with a history and a joy to behold. Built in 1750, a farmhouse for centuries, Yew Tree Cottage stands on the broad main street of pretty Westow - right by the pub! A listed stone end-of-terrace with a pan-tile roof and white windows.
Sleeping up to four guests + 2, it's the perfect place in which to relax and unwind and a fantastic base to explore the surroundings of Historical and Romantic York, the North Yorkshire Moors, the Coast and the Yorkshire Dales.
It's a delight to walk in to, the quasi-open plan ground floor, with its oak floors and beams, its open fire in the dining room, wood-stove in the sitting room, an...Read more

London
Extremely well appointed and spacious cottage in a stunningly be
Service was impeccable, from the excellent pre and post stay information emails to the staggeringly well stocked kitchen. It would be hard to find any fault at all with the cottage interior, and we were particularly impressed by the office facilities and enormous selection of games and Dvds. If pressed, we could only really complain that visiting in January meant making use of the pretty patio garden and BBQ was not really an option. To sum up, I'm generally a believer in the maxim that one gets what one pays for, and in this case that maxim certainly holds true - Yew Tree Cottage is everything you could hope a luxury country holiday cottage to be.

Pure luxury, quality and tranquility.
We had a fantastic stay at stunning Yew Tree Cottage, Westow. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need and so much effort has been put into creating the character and charm of the beautiful cottage. A great escape from reality, would highly recommend to anyone!! The booking process was also very straight forward and Natasha was so very helpful and informative. Thank you!!

Lovely weekend in super cottage
We had a great weekend break at Yew Tree cottage - it's a lovely cottage that has been very tastefully renovated and decorated. Very handy to have a great pub just a few doors down too - the food there was excellent! Natasha was great at checking we had everything we needed for our stay. Less than 30 minutes drive to York so perfect for a day trip. Would definitely recommend it!
