Upsscale living in a beautiful environment
Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed a week at these gorgeously done town homes on Wolf Lake. We all concluded that we could live there permanently. The units have everything you need from linens and towels to cookware and dishes, even a wine fridge. The lake is deep and clean and Wolfe Springs has free canoes, kayaks and peddle boats for guests. I would definitely go back but have my teens bring friends since the other children were all very young.
We availed ourselves of the movie room, game room and the free golf carts. Men went golfing, girls to the nearby horseback riding and petting zoo at West Wind Ranch. Town of Westport has some restaurants and shopping with a decent grocery.
If you enjoy tubing and skiing, rent a boat or wave runner, this lake is great for that. Fishing is rebounding and we all caught one or more.
There is a steep climb from units to the lake so it is not ideal for older or infirm individuals. -

sarniaComing to Wolfe Lake is the best vacation decision we have ever
Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in July 2011
Each time we turn onto the tree-lined lane way that leads to Wolfe Springs, we feel like we are entering our own special paradise.
As owners of one of the villas, we can always be sure that our unit is perfect upon our arrival. Our kitchen is equipped with just about everything our own home has; there is even a wine fridge.
When it is just the two of us, we look forward to the king size bed and soaker tub in our master bedroom. When our grandkids come with their parents they stay in the second upstairs bedroom with bunk beds, queen size bed and adjoining full bathroom.
My husband and I golf, so we chose a unit that backs onto the 9 hole golf course.
If we want to enjoy the waterside, it only takes seconds to walk along the path to be at the spring fed lake. There are canoes to use, a fireplace sitting area, and a gazebo that stretches into the water.
Sunsets and star gazing here we come! There is even a spacious cozy boathouse to use when the weather is not good. And did I mention the games house with two huge rooms that each has a fireplace.
Last winter after skating on the lake, the snow and wind were blowing, so the two of us watched a couple movies in the video room that is set up like a mini theatre.Pretty neat.
We often visit the town of Westport where there is whatever we need for our holiday. Groceries, beverages, ice cream, books and restaurants are right there. Quaint and unique shops line the streets of Westport; people come year round to shop. The family owned Cove Inn has weekly entertainment and we hope to catch one of their Jazz Nights. A wonderful couple owns the fish shop where we can get the best fish and chips for take out.
The next time I visit my villa, I will be bringing my three sisters.
The drive is a little long from my home in Sarnia...6 hours, but it is totally worth it. I can't wait to see their expressions when I make that turn onto the property.
Let's make some memories! -

A very nice place in the country
Kingston, ONA really lovely retreat in the country
Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in September 2011
Wolfe Springs is a high-quality country "estate" style property. The site on Wolfe Lake is beautiful, the property architecture is attractive, and the villas are roomy, light and modern. Lots of space for family and friends. Inside are all the mod-cons, as they say.
Nearby Westport village has good shops and a place or two to eat.
The resort has a great little golf course behind it...good place for breakfast in season.
Resort staff are pleasant and helpful.

154992Perfect Family Stay
Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We stayed in a villa overlooking the golf course. Everything is beautiful, the fireplaces make the place cozy, and a big soaker tub in the master bedroom makes for a relaxing time. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, all you need is to stop by the village and get some groceries. A perfect winter stay, with skating on Wolfe Lake (on your door step), watching the ice fishermen, barbecuing on the patio (convenient even in winter!).
