Just got back for a great Christmas vacation to Curacao and Marazul. My family stayed in this unit, with my sister-in-law's family in another. I've previously reviewed Marazul Dive Resort, so will review this unit.
Not much to say besides great! Unit is large and airy, huge master bath and good size master bedroom. Downstairs bedrooms each have a full bath. Fans in each room, although the winter Curacao winds provided excellent natural cooling. Kitchen was clean and well stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. Be careful, though, the hot water is extremely hot.
A much appreciated addition was internet, both wired and wireless, in the unit. When I booked the place I thought it had only resort wifi, which is slow and you have to sit by the pool. It was a huge benefit to be able to work from the apartment, and the connection was stable and fast, good enough for Voip calls.
The louvered back/front door is brilliant. Really improves airflow though the kitchen/living room.
The awning on the upstairs patio, one of only two at Marazul I believe, is fantastic. Makes sitting on the patio comfortable almost all the time. Facing west, these patios are almost unusable in the afternoon without the awning.
Tommy and Uli were, as usual, gracious and helpful, even with a Christmas Day arrival and New Year's Day departure. Thanks to everyone - we'll be back -

Awesome property! We had a wonderful time celebrating my milestone birthday at this Marazul property. It was perfectly located on the property where sunsets could be seen from almost every room in the house! We snorkeled, fished, swam and even fly a kite on the property with all the conveniences and peace. The property is fully stocked with all the needed equipment and all is needed is a good trip to the grocery store on your way to the property and you will have all you need for paradise. We loved it so much we will be back November 2012. Thanks to Ken for making this the best birthday ever!

You never really know what to expect when traveling to a place for the first time. Ken told me we would love the diving. He told me many great things about the bungalo. When we arrived we were pleased to see that everthing Kem told us about his bungalo was true. We had friends that booked directly with the resort with mixed outcomes. If Ken's place is available, or if he tell you he can book the one next door, book it. You will have the best bunglow on the resort. 3 beds and 3 baths. One of my friends booked another bungalow and it did not come close to ours regariding room or amenitites.
West Punt is a sleeply little place. If you want night life then stay in Willamstad. But if you want to relax, have superb diving and great food stay in West Punt. I am looking forward to our next trip. -

We had a wonderful stay at Ken's house at Marazul Resort, and the superintenants Tommi and Ulla were friendly and helpful as guides and advisors!
The only thing to remember is that you need a car to get around, both to the best beaches and to shop for food!

The best thing is it's your place for the stay and you can make the best for the time there. The view is vary nice,you will need a car to get from place to place and see the island!!!. It's fun in the sun and water.

We were greeted very warmly even after our flight delay in aruba that caused us to come in at midnight. Everything was as advertised but the view was a lot better and we realized after exploring the whole island that the location of this place is in the best section of the Island. The Ocean Encounter Dive staff was very friendly and we got all our equipment and advanced Dive certification just as advertised. Ken, the owner was very personable and informative through the email communications. Sol & David from 'Sol's Resturant' which is right down the road was the most friendliest, best tasting place on the Island. Everything was great!

My husband and I loved the privacy and seclusion - truly away from the hustle and bustle. Shore diving was just a short walk down the beach. The amenities were great for fixing your own meals, but we also really enjoyed the nearby options for dining - they were spectacular. This is my kind of vacations - able to enjoy those you love in a beautiful, unspoiled setting.

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Marazul Dive Resort in Westpunt. We spent most of our stay on this (West) side of the island and truly enjoyed all that it had to offer. It is a very quiet yet communal area where everyone seems to know each other. The Marazul Resort is directly on the ocean front and is extremely clean and beautiful.
This place has so much to offer... We enjoyed many sunsets from the 2nd floor balcony or sitting down on the small dock, swam in the pool, snorkeled steps away and visited the nearby Hura Kulanda resort, Sol Food and Ocean Encounters Dive Shop. There are also many beaches within a short drive.
The house is exactly what a waterfront property should be! Airy, clean and amazing views! There are Tv's with cable also although we found we weren't home much to watch them! You have pretty much everything you need there although if you are looking for room service and to spend your time lounging inside, this probably isn't your place. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday soon.
