32780Perfect spot for our family reunion!
Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We spent a perfect long weekend here, celebrating my mother-in-law's 79th birthday (it was supposed to have been a surprise 80th birthday celebration but somehow the math got mixed up...long story!). We rented the entire property and it proved to be absolutely the best choice we could have made. There was more than enough room for our group of 12 (5 couples and 2 adult children). We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and dinners (two dishwashers -- yes!), grilling salmon (bought at the farmer's market) one night. Everything we needed was there -- truly this was the best stocked rental I've ever stayed in. And the pictures are accurate -- the views are spectacular, the property is super quiet and private, the furnishings all lovely and comfortable. I've already recommended the property to friends and maybe we'll just have to return next year for the real 80th birthday!

Seattle, Washington, United StatesScenic getaway home on Whidbey Island
Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Beautiful place for a short weekend getaway. Incredible views of the mountains. The home offers great amenities - two cabins, beachfront access, a hot tub, fire pit, fantastic, steam shower, huge kitchen, and patio area for grilling. The layout of the house is great for larger groups because you never feel too crowded. The home is centrally located to all the major attractions of Whidbey Island. The owners were very great to work with: responsive in dealing with payment, answered all of my questions, and even accommodated a late checkout for our group. Highly recommended.

Seattle, WashingtonDelightful Family Compound with Private Beach
Left on 07/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our extended family enjoyed a delightful vacation at this charming and wonderful property. Nestled in a visually stunning and secluded area, with direct access to a private beach, the property is aboslutely perfect for family gatherings. The Main House has three private bedrooms, and the cottage on the beach is an adorable stand-alone housing unit (there is also a cute one-bedroom cabin on the grounds). The Main House has a sensational deck, and a very functional kitchen (along with other lovely spaces). While we didn't do any cooking in the kitchen, it provided a great space for family meals. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our privacy on the beach, and nightly marshmallow roasting at the perfectly situated fire-pit (which accommodates large groups).
The house is well appointed and well stocked with the standard necessities. We were also pleased about the standard of cleanliness.
This property is a Whidbey Island gem, very much a treasure. We have vacationed at other high-end properties on the Island, and feel that this property is quite exceptional in its many attributes. We look forward to staying there in the future.Response from Nancy Ritzenthaler - 08/04/2011

Seattle, WAWe had it all!
Left on 06/14/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Breathtaking location, and thoughtful, comfortable, inviting, unique accommodations. It was great to be able to walk down the beach to the state park, listen to the morning bird songs, make a fire at the beach, and have 5 people comfortably cooking in the kitchen at the same time to produce glorious shared meals on the deck with 180 degree views. It is an especially good deal in the off-season, although you won't have use of the pool until the heart of summer.

Seattle, WAThe stay is never long enough!
Left on 05/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010
This is our family's second stay and both times have provided a fun time for everyone. There are excellent accomodations; plenty of room for everyone to sleep and a variety of activities without getting back into your car. The main house provides the opportunity for togetherness and with the two additional "cabins", there is plenty of privacy. The view and deck areas are spectacular. The drive way is a little challenging so once we are there, we are there! And if we could all have that kitchen transported to our own homes - wow!

Seattle, WACould not have been better!
Left on 05/20/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We recently stayed at the Whidbey beach house and could not have been happier with the experience! The home was very well-kept and the views and access to the beach were amazing! My favorite parts of the stay were watching a nuclear submarine being escorted to Bangor as we soaked in the sun and played bacci ball on the grass next to the beach. Views from every level are amazing and the master bedroom reminded me of the Salish Lodge but bigger and much, much better views! Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
