Liked the location and the unit was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Wished there was a garburator though. Also, it would have been better if the building was not undergoing piping repairs during our stay, especially since it was right in front of our unit.

We really enjoyed the condo. Everything was like new. The gas fireplace was nice. The location was great. It was away from all the noise of the village but because the shuttle stop was just outside of the main entrance, it was very easy to get to and from the village.
Will definitly go back. -

Left on 12/09/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Well located apartment short walk from the ski slope allowing you to almost ski to door. Excellent facilities including secure ski locker, heated outdoor pool, great hot tub. Apartment is warm, comfortable and very quiet which is essential for me as I can't sleep with any noise. Wifi is available as well as a connected PC which is handy for checking the weather, whistler slopes and bus times into Whistler village for going out in the evening - the bus stop is just at the top of the drive. An added extra is coffee and tea provided in the kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you David & Karen
The apartment was absolutely brilliant. Modern with lots of space, good furniture and very big bed, which makes it even better. We absolutely loved staying there.
The building, spa, gym was average. However the distance to Whistler Village was much longer than we were told by the website. Walking to Upper Village takes 10min and Main Village about 20min. Its a nice walk if during the day but maybe not after dark.
Otherwise it was brilliant and David and Karen were very helpful and replied to all our emails and questions withing minutes.
If you like peace and to be close to the nature - book this place!

We loved our stay at the Marquise (Rm 403). It was clean and newly decorated with all the amenities one would need. It felt like home and we treated it as such. It was smaller than I expected, which was perfect since it was just the two of us. I loved the large bed, but we both banged our toes on the corners. We were there with other friends who stayed at Snowbird and we throughly enjoyed the walking trails to their timeshare. I was impressed it was as close as we were promised. The condo was walking distance to everything! Our only disappointment was the jacuzzi was being repaired all but 1 day we were there. It took a whole month according to the sign. Not good! The facility was very clean and I felt safe, well except when we saw bears! Whistler is truly bear country. Thanks for a great vacation!

SeattleNice accomodations
Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The property was clean, well kept and in great condition. Only problem we had was that there was no hand soap, and oversite by the cleaning crew I imagine. My only other comment would be to be very careful where you park to unload, we got towed because I miss read the signage out front and parked in the fire lane, thinking the arrow meant I could park behind it not that it was pointing to where the 15 minute parking was located which also had a sign that said no parking, go figure... I admit after driving for 5 hours I get a little rummy. Anyway there is no easy way to find a phone number to find out what happened to the car. But after that little Friday the 13th incident and forgetting the combo number to the door at home (Thanks, David for providing it to me) the week end went well. And the towing was not reflective of the unit which was lovely. We also heard (while we were waiting for our car at the lot in Funtion Junction, too far to take a bus and without any signage on the road, our cabby knew the place) that Whistler is also ticketing for rolling stops etc. Now I've vented I feel better, thanks!

What an incredible unit to stay in for a week of skiing on two incredible mountains! Every detail for a wonderfully comfortable stay had been thought through in advance - with easy to follow instructions posted throughout. The furnishings, computer, wireless, appliances, bedding, fireplace and decorating touches were perfect. The kitchen was not only beautiful, but also very functional for any - who love to cook. The hot tub/sauna/heated pool of the Marquise were easy to access and thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter and I were able to ski/board in and out every day and used the free shuttle bus to get easily back and forth to Whistler Village. Being able to stay in this unit and with Whistler/Blackcomb getting over 18 inches of snow one night while we were there - what more could one ask for in life!

SeattleWonderful oasis at whistler...
Left on 03/28/2012 for a stay in March 2012
If you love skiing then you know that the benchlands of Whistler are a great place to be. They are close enough to ski in and away from the village.
This unit is immaculately furnished and the layout is excellent. The kitchen is beautiful with granite counter tops and an all glass cooktop. It is well equipped and the dishwasher is great.
The bed is super comfortable and there is a terrific fireplace as well. The view is of the parking lot which isn't the most magnificent but the windows let in plenty of light. Grab a cocktail and go to the elevator lobby on that floor if u want an incredible view of Blackcomb.
There is underground parking, sauna and a pool which is great for kids to relax. There is ski storage below and it is self serve which if you've been to the aspens is wonderful because you dont need to wait in the am.
The electronics by the way are terrific. The free wifi is very fast, they provide a laptop and there are two flat screen TVs.
The issues are that even in the fourth floor it does get noisy at night as people wander into the building. Not a big deal if uv skied all day. Also the building is across the street from the ski runs so you need to cross a street and ski a bit down a trail.
In any case, a great price. -

Very clean, nicely appointed, but tiny living and no dining space. Too much trouble to make reservation and no one on site if problems occur. Don't forget your key after 10:00pm or you"ll sleep in the snow. Unit is just above front doors and was very people noisy til midnight both nights. Also don't plan on sleeping past 7:00am...more noise. Game room with nothing there???

Left on 12/24/2011 for a stay in December 2011
The booking service through allura Direct was very efficient as always and the owners made personal contact to check everything was going OK and answered any queries immediately.
The accomodation was clean, comprehensively equipped, well furnished and very secure to ensure a very comfortable stay.
The amenties in the block - laundry room, pool, hot tub and ski storage were excellent, but as the reception desk was not in use there was no facility to leave baggage after check out time but making friends with a neighbour fixed that problem.
The location is ideal to ski in and out to Blackcomb.
There are no shops, restaurants or other retail outlets in the immediate vicinity, but the free shuttle bus service to Whistler makes up for this, although occaisionally services can be cut without notice and they tend to run slightly ahead of schedule.
I intend to use this condo again during my next visit.

The suite has a lot of features of a mini home: complimentary internet access, ipod dock, Dvds, good TV/cable selections, comfy king bed, good size 3-piece bathroom. Well laid out design, compact, yet feels spaciousness. My husband and I had an excellent stay. Great place for a romantic get-a-way.

Left on 10/19/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Very nicely decorated, great king sized bed. There were condiments already in the fridge so we didn't have to buy anything extra for our meals. We didn't have to worry about keeping a key with us. Overall, a very nice place to stay as a couple, clean and quiet.
The only downside was the underground parking, which was a bit too expensive ($16/day). So we ended up parking on the street, even though we had valuables in the car. Thankfully nothing happened, but if it had, I imagine it would have been very frustrating. -

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The only complaint would be that the time was too short. The condo was great. Recently renovated, very clean, comfortable king sized bed, a/c. Everything was better than anticipated.
We will definitely be looking to stay here for our visit next summer. Probably the best 1 bedroom condo we have stayed in at Whistler. -

After having been disappointed with various accommodations during our 8 day road trip to Banff, Jasper and Salmon arm we were pleasantly surprised with the Marquis in Whistler. We stayed in condo 403, managed by Karen and David Westrheim, which had everything for a comfortable stay. Our friend from Germany was also very pleased due to it's cleanliness, amenities, good location and good value.

I would definitely recommend this condo whether you are traveling with your spouse or small children. Everything was tastefully decorated and new. Our only disappointment was that the swimming pool wasn't in service. It would have been nice to have been informed of that ahead of time. However, the hot tub was very nice. The owners were very prompt and professional in their communication with us, and check-in was very easy.

Our trip out West was one of our favourite vacations! We enjoyed to condo living-great kitchen and very comfy bed. It beat all the hotels and cabins we stayed in-a home away from home. Had everything we needed and we've already recommended their place to our friends-hope to go back for some snowboarding and skiing soon!

Had a great time during Crankwerx and enjoyed your place very much. My only suggestion is to not lock your bikes in the bike room. Several bikes were stolen out of there while we were staying there (our bikes were left alone thank goodness) but the light on my bike was stolen.

We found the condo to be the perfect size for our needs. It was in excellent condition when we arrived with all of the amenities matching the photos on the web-site. The building was in exceptionally clean condition and we experienced no problems whatsoever. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and would stay in this unit with no hesitation. Thank you. It was perfect for us.

Condo is well appointed and comfortable. Close enough to the Village to walk, but far enough away to avoid late night party noise. Parking is a bit expensive and the checkout time too early.

The Marquise was an excellent location for our stay in Whistler. Suite 403 was very clean and well furnished, and the location was perfect for our needs. The facilities were all well maintained and looked after. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and gave us lots of useful info about local activities etc. We liked our stay here so much we ended up booking a 2nd vacation at the same spot!

This was the perfect spot for us -- a small, clean, extremely affordable slope side condo. At the end of the ski season, we were fairly lucky with nice snowpack and decent weather, too. No complaints. The place was well appointed with everything we needed.

nice condo, good location, great value. The condo is very nicely decorated and updated. All in all we had a great time. The dishes were a bit dirty so we washed them all before we use them and the carpet was a bit dirty and dusty, but overall we really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This condo was one of the best aspects of a terrific Whistler ski vacation. David is a very organized, helpful and responsive host. The decor and furnishings are beautiful, the computer is very handy, and the bed is unbelievably comfortable. The Marquise is a great building -- quiet, and convenient to the slopes, the free bus and Lost Lake x-skiing. We were sorry to leave, and we can't wait to come back!

We had a very pleasant stay here. Everything was very well organised. The condo is very nicely renovated with high quality finishes. Comfy bed, good kitchen, just a short stroll to the ski run. Overall a very good experience.

Loved the condo: location was great and the condo is clean and well appointed for guests. However, the window was open in the living room much to our surprise. We later surmised that prior guests had left it open to provide some relief from the heat. The outdoor daytime temperature was quite warm during our stay and the condo really required a fan or air conditioner to provide comfortable sleeping at night. Also, work crews were at work early (7 am?) installing landscaping outside of our unit the next morning. Our last evening, notice was posted by the elevator that the water would be turned off to units sometime the following morning for work requirements. We hastily left water in the sinks to aid getting ready in the morning. Did not make for a restful stay.

This was my first time booking a private rental condo through the internet. I was amazed at how it was cheaper and more personal to stay in a condo rather than a busy co-operporate hotel. Karen and David were very accomadating in that the fireplace had been switched off for the summer and was'nt available at the time of our stay, so they were willing to compenstate at some level for our next stay. The property had been updated and was very clean and cozy. A bit of a hike to the village when rainy out..but hey..after all you are in the mountains...
thanks for evrything provided..a great selection of dvd's too!!!
I look forward to going back again.

Not quite ski in ski out - need to cross the street but otherwise a perfect unit. -

Everything was fine. The only points that we were unhappy with were the fold out bed is so uncomfortable we had to let the kids sleep with us and there was no toilet paper.
Response from David & Karen Westrheim - 01/06/2011
Owner
We are very sorry you had trouble locating the toiletpaper. Upon your arrival we have verified that there was three rolls of toilet paper in the suite; one roll mounted and two more under the bathroom sink in the cupboard. Upon your departure, we verified that the two rolls of additional toilet paper in the unique brand we supply were still there. Also, the four boxes of Kleenex tissue that we also provided throughout the suite were also still there.
As for the sofabed, we have purchased the highest quality mattress we can find.
We regret your difficulties . . . -

Left on 12/29/2010 for a stay in December 2010
This is a very well equipped, spotlessly clean, newly refurbished and refurnished one bedroom condo (note that Tripadvisor says 2 bedrooms). Ski-in / ski-out is a bit of a stretch - we found it most convenient to take Whistler's free bus service, which stops right at the end of the driveway. We very much enjoyed the shared indoor hot tub - great for meeting other visitors, along with the outdoor pool.
We have rented privately on several ski trips, and have to say that the owners of this unit, David & Karen, have gone beyond the norm to make their visitors comfortable. It was the first time we had seen a recent model computer with internet access provided, along with wireless internet for all the electronics we brought along. Many questions were answered by handy notes, tastefully posted within the unit.
I rated "Service" high, because I didn't want to put anyone off, but this is a self-serve situation. There was someone at the front-desk during business hours if you had a question, but otherwise we were on our own, and had no issues with that whatsoever.
Parking is an extra $16/day.Response from David & Karen Westrheim - 01/10/2011
Owner
We wish to make it very clear that the suite is a One Bedroom unit with a pull-out Sofabed in the Livingroom, so it sleeps four. TripAdviser and FlipKey mistakenly have listed our suite as a Two Bedroom unit and they have since confirmed that they will correct this data, which is beyond our control.
