“We really enjoyed your condo and everything turned out well. It is a well-appointed suite and we certainly plan to return. It w...as nice and quiet at night (even with the Telus festival on) and hearing the birds in the morning was great. We loved the ski storage and the wax table. Providing us with use of an internet-enabled computer was just great. I'd brought my laptop but won't bring it next time. The computer was easy to use.” Michael & Cory, Delta, BC 04/15/10
"My vacation is going to the end in the early morning and I'll leave your wonderful flat in the Marquise. As I am a Civil Engineer, I know how much effort, time, money and goodwill is needed to buy and maintain this flat on such a high level. During my vacation, I felt almost, and sometimes even better, than in my own home. For all this, thank you very much. When I visit Whistler again, I'll definitely check the availability of your unit first.” Baruch, Petach Tikva, Isreal 03/22/10

Our second stay (and hopefully not our last) at David and Karen's lovely apartment. Booking was simple and straight forward, we had to change our dates which was quickly arranged after a couple of emails. Apartment location is great, nice and quiet but only 3-4 minutes on the free bus from the centre of Whistler. Access to the lifts is via the bus or a short walk (2 minute's max) after which you can ski down to the lifts and you can ski back to within 50 yards at the end of the day.
Apartment is beautifully furnished and has everything that you could need for a vacation, bed is very comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped. In the apartment block itself we made good use of the hot-tub and outdoor pool.
This is a lovely condo right accross the street from the Blackco
Left on 02/21/2014 for a stay in February 2014 | Tbird
All you had to do was walk across the street and down a little path to get you to the mountain so you could ski to the lifts. I would say this condo wasn't exactly ski in/ski out since you couldn't ski right out the door. However, it was the next best thing, and the path to get to the mountain is very short. You could technically put on your skis after you get across the street and pole to the mountain since the path was snow covered, but that wouldn't really work for snowboarders.
As for the condo itself, it was lovely. It is all updated inside as shown in the picture. There were plenty of towels for both the shower and the pool/hot tub. The pool is outdoors and heated, which was so neat to be in when it was snowing. The hot tub is in a clear dome, so that was neat too. There was a dry sauna as well, so the amenities were great.
One suggestion to the owner would be to leave instructions on how to start the fireplace. Also, let the renter know if you want them to do anything special at checkout. I'm assuming there wasn't anything we needed to do other than keep it clean the way it was when we got there, but I was a little concerned that I was supposed to take out the trash and didn't know where to do it.
Fabulous place! Fabulous location! Thank you, David & Karen!
P.S. Ease of check-in was a 4 star only b/c you had to park in a temporary spot outside, go to the unit, get the key, come back down, drive to the garage, get out of the car and find the keyhole, and drive through the gate. Then use the key to get into the building from the garage. Not a big deal, but a little tricky.

- well located, right next to bus stop and short walk from ski slope
- well equipped kitchen! We were definitely impressed with the different sets of wine glasses (and we did bring drinks up to enjoy for the evening!) and decanter.
- We had no trouble making ourselves home and make ourselves some food. There were all the basic spices and sauces and utensils. We even found pairs of chopsticks!
- very nice condo and well decorated to make us feel at home!
- amenities is good: there is even a game room
- the WiFi password that was provided didn't work. But we were there to get away and we had data to just quickly check our email. It's good.
- Wish the hot tub is outdoor but the indoor one is also very nice.
- The fridge was making a weird noise in the middle of the night. So our friends sleeping in the living room didn't get to sleep well.
- There were 4 of us but we only found one pool towel for the hot tub
- We did find the place a bit small for 4 adults. But it didn't cause too much inconvenience in us.
We would definitely come back if there is only two of us for a getaway!

The directions for access worked really well, and the apartments was really comfortable. The snow wasn't good enough to ski and and out much but the shuttle buses were reasonably frequent so it wasn't a problem. It was also possible to walk into Whistler or Backcomb village from the apartment quite easily.
The lock on the door system changed at 10am on our departure and we were warned to be ready to be out of the apartment with our luggage in time as this would be a prompt 10am change. It did, in fact, change at 9.50am so we could have been caught out. My husband had taken the garbage to the basement and, if I had not been in the apartment to let him in, he would have been locked out!
Comfortable Unit in Quiet Building
Left on 01/09/2014 for a stay in December 2013 | Carolh
The unit was great for the 3 of us, and it was lovely having a comfy King size bed. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of dishes, utensils, and pots/pans. Bathroom is modern with lots of towels, including pool towels. I am a light sleeper and was really happy that the unit was so quiet. It's at the end of the hall and we never heard any neighbours. All the important things were well cleaned, but the nice wooden horizontal blinds were super dusty...not a big deal, but quite noticeable. The pool, hot tub, and sauna areas were all very clean and surprisingly uncrowded. The condo is across the street from the ski in-out access, so very convenient.
When we arrived, the unit access code did not work. This was a bit annoying, but we were able to contact the owner right away and he had the problem fixed very quickly. The access code for the pool area was also incorrect but luckily another party shared the correct one with us.
Except for a few minor inconveniences, everything was great, and we'd definitely stay here again.

We went for the weekend. The instructions to access the apartment were clear. The parking machine in the building was broken and didn't print a receipt/ticket for us but otherwise, we didn't have any troubles during our stay. :)
It was nice that the kitchen had supplies so we were able to cook breakfast together.
The location was convenient - it was a quick walk from the upper village.
The bed's super comfy and the apartment was spotless. I like clean. :D

Liked the location and the unit was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Wished there was a garburator though. Also, it would have been better if the building was not undergoing piping repairs during our stay, especially since it was right in front of our unit.

We really enjoyed the condo. Everything was like new. The gas fireplace was nice. The location was great. It was away from all the noise of the village but because the shuttle stop was just outside of the main entrance, it was very easy to get to and from the village.
Will definitly go back.

Well located apartment short walk from the ski slope allowing you to almost ski to door. Excellent facilities including secure ski locker, heated outdoor pool, great hot tub. Apartment is warm, comfortable and very quiet which is essential for me as I can't sleep with any noise. Wifi is available as well as a connected PC which is handy for checking the weather, whistler slopes and bus times into Whistler village for going out in the evening - the bus stop is just at the top of the drive. An added extra is coffee and tea provided in the kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you David & Karen
The apartment was absolutely brilliant. Modern with lots of space, good furniture and very big bed, which makes it even better. We absolutely loved staying there.
The building, spa, gym was average. However the distance to Whistler Village was much longer than we were told by the website. Walking to Upper Village takes 10min and Main Village about 20min. Its a nice walk if during the day but maybe not after dark.
Otherwise it was brilliant and David and Karen were very helpful and replied to all our emails and questions withing minutes.
If you like peace and to be close to the nature - book this place!

We loved our stay at the Marquise (Rm 403). It was clean and newly decorated with all the amenities one would need. It felt like home and we treated it as such. It was smaller than I expected, which was perfect since it was just the two of us. I loved the large bed, but we both banged our toes on the corners. We were there with other friends who stayed at Snowbird and we throughly enjoyed the walking trails to their timeshare. I was impressed it was as close as we were promised. The condo was walking distance to everything! Our only disappointment was the jacuzzi was being repaired all but 1 day we were there. It took a whole month according to the sign. Not good! The facility was very clean and I felt safe, well except when we saw bears! Whistler is truly bear country. Thanks for a great vacation!

The property was clean, well kept and in great condition. Only problem we had was that there was no hand soap, and oversite by the cleaning crew I imagine. My only other comment would be to be very careful where you park to unload, we got towed because I miss read the signage out front and parked in the fire lane, thinking the arrow meant I could park behind it not that it was pointing to where the 15 minute parking was located which also had a sign that said no parking, go figure... I admit after driving for 5 hours I get a little rummy. Anyway there is no easy way to find a phone number to find out what happened to the car. But after that little Friday the 13th incident and forgetting the combo number to the door at home (Thanks, David for providing it to me) the week end went well. And the towing was not reflective of the unit which was lovely. We also heard (while we were waiting for our car at the lot in Funtion Junction, too far to take a bus and without any signage on the road, our cabby knew the place) that Whistler is also ticketing for rolling stops etc. Now I've vented I feel better, thanks!

What an incredible unit to stay in for a week of skiing on two incredible mountains! Every detail for a wonderfully comfortable stay had been thought through in advance - with easy to follow instructions posted throughout. The furnishings, computer, wireless, appliances, bedding, fireplace and decorating touches were perfect. The kitchen was not only beautiful, but also very functional for any - who love to cook. The hot tub/sauna/heated pool of the Marquise were easy to access and thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter and I were able to ski/board in and out every day and used the free shuttle bus to get easily back and forth to Whistler Village. Being able to stay in this unit and with Whistler/Blackcomb getting over 18 inches of snow one night while we were there - what more could one ask for in life!

If you love skiing then you know that the benchlands of Whistler are a great place to be. They are close enough to ski in and away from the village.
This unit is immaculately furnished and the layout is excellent. The kitchen is beautiful with granite counter tops and an all glass cooktop. It is well equipped and the dishwasher is great.
The bed is super comfortable and there is a terrific fireplace as well. The view is of the parking lot which isn't the most magnificent but the windows let in plenty of light. Grab a cocktail and go to the elevator lobby on that floor if u want an incredible view of Blackcomb.
There is underground parking, sauna and a pool which is great for kids to relax. There is ski storage below and it is self serve which if you've been to the aspens is wonderful because you dont need to wait in the am.
The electronics by the way are terrific. The free wifi is very fast, they provide a laptop and there are two flat screen TVs.
The issues are that even in the fourth floor it does get noisy at night as people wander into the building. Not a big deal if uv skied all day. Also the building is across the street from the ski runs so you need to cross a street and ski a bit down a trail.
In any case, a great price.

The booking service through allura Direct was very efficient as always and the owners made personal contact to check everything was going OK and answered any queries immediately.
The accomodation was clean, comprehensively equipped, well furnished and very secure to ensure a very comfortable stay.
The amenties in the block - laundry room, pool, hot tub and ski storage were excellent, but as the reception desk was not in use there was no facility to leave baggage after check out time but making friends with a neighbour fixed that problem.
The location is ideal to ski in and out to Blackcomb.
There are no shops, restaurants or other retail outlets in the immediate vicinity, but the free shuttle bus service to Whistler makes up for this, although occaisionally services can be cut without notice and they tend to run slightly ahead of schedule.
I intend to use this condo again during my next visit.
Upscale cozy-comfy place.

Very nicely decorated, great king sized bed. There were condiments already in the fridge so we didn't have to buy anything extra for our meals. We didn't have to worry about keeping a key with us. Overall, a very nice place to stay as a couple, clean and quiet.
The only downside was the underground parking, which was a bit too expensive ($16/day). So we ended up parking on the street, even though we had valuables in the car. Thankfully nothing happened, but if it had, I imagine it would have been very frustrating.

Loved the condo: location was great and the condo is clean and well appointed for guests. However, the window was open in the living room much to our surprise. We later surmised that prior guests had left it open to provide some relief from the heat. The outdoor daytime temperature was quite warm during our stay and the condo really required a fan or air conditioner to provide comfortable sleeping at night. Also, work crews were at work early (7 am?) installing landscaping outside of our unit the next morning. Our last evening, notice was posted by the elevator that the water would be turned off to units sometime the following morning for work requirements. We hastily left water in the sinks to aid getting ready in the morning. Did not make for a restful stay.

We are very sorry you had trouble locating the toiletpaper. Upon your arrival we have verified that there was three rolls of toilet paper in the suite; one roll mounted and two more under the bathroom sink in the cupboard. Upon your departure, we verified that the two rolls of additional toilet paper in the unique brand we supply were still there. Also, the four boxes of Kleenex tissue that we also provided throughout the suite were also still there.
