During the winter you can ski-in and ski-out, or just hop onto the free shuttle bus which is literally a 5 minute ride to the bottom of both mountains. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to stay and we can accommodate 6-8 people comfortably, Mountain Star includes the following:

Additional Location Information

Mountain Star is perched high on Blackcomb Mountain and is adjacent to the Marriott. It's set amongst the pines in a secluded and peaceful location but only minutes from the base of both mountains via the free shuttle bus. Just steps away from the Lower Cruiser Run and down to the Wizard chair and within walking distance of the Tube Park. It's also close to the new Olympic Sliding centre.
Walking distance to the base of Blackcomb is around 10 minutes down the slope.
You can also see just how close we are to the slopes and the base of Blackcomb by going onto Google maps - just search for 4894 Painted Cliff Road, Whistler - we're at the very top next to the slopes (where you see the little circle in the road layout).

  We had a great time in Whistler over the February long weekend. The accomodations were very good for a large family. Three bedrooms, one with a queen, and the two other bedrooms had two singles and a bunk bed, which is much more appropriate for a family (along with a sofa bed in the living room). A lot of other accomodations only offered queen beds in each of the bedrooms. Kids don't always want to sleep together! A short walk to the trail for quick access to Blackcombe or the shuttle which takes you directly to the bottom of either Mountain. Very convenient. The hot tub was definitely a great treat at the end of a long ski day. We would definitely stay again!

  The property is away from the village and backs onto the forest. The hot tub is out the back door and was great. We wanted to be away from the village and the noise so it suited us perfect. You have a bus stop as well that is beside the entrance driveway or you can walk down the ski hill to the Blackcomb base on the nice days.

  it was very reassuring that Debbie provided much information and reminders before coming over and during our stay, she responded almost immediately to my emails. More importantly, Dave the local handyman was so helpful and so responsive that i never ever felt helps was wanting when i needed it. Luuurved the spanking new and awesome hot tub and jacuzzi - really really made my day after a tough workout on the slopes! And of course, this year, the kids being older, could really ski in and out across from mountain star and down to blackcomb!

  We really enjoyed the ski in/ski out condo. And the hot tub was wonderful after a day on the slopes. The house is in a quieter part of the upper village which made for a restful, comfortable weekend.

  The Mountain Star resort is a very well placed family oriented lodging very close to free ski bus and ski in/out. Lots of space with nice furnishings and a nice private hut tub.

  Best vacation ever

  Myself and a couple buddies came up for a week of mountain biking. Whistler is already awesome but having a comfortable, quiet place to stay equipped with a hot tub to relax sore muscles, a grill to cook up dinner, and super comfortable clean beds and living space was awesome. The whole experience was outstanding. The forested surroundings of the hot tub make it exclusive spa quality.

  Great place in a great location. Had a lot of fun with the family. My only contention is that garbage disposal didn't work and had some plumbing issues in the kitchen. Maintenance couldn't fix it due to the holiday, but was very quick in the response. The kitchen overall could you some help with cooking utensils, but then again we were having a feast. Normally, it would be very adequate. Overall great ski-in/ski-out!

  Fabulous! The views are beautiful and the property was well looked after. Cosy and warm after a day’s skiing and the hot tub was great to ease aching limbs! Surprisingly easy to get about with the free shuttle bus (stop is almost outside the door!) – only a few minutes and we were in the Village. The owner was extremely helpful and sorted out a minor problem with a light not working straight away.
  
  Really pleased with our choice felt like home from home and will definitely stay at No.2 again.
