My friends and I came up here for the weekend to have a base camp for hiking and exploring Whistler. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Check-in was incredibly easy and the place was clean and welcoming. It had lots of beds for people to sleep in and the living area provided us with lots of room to hang out. It was located very close to the village making it easy for us to walk when needed.
My only complaint is that the website advertises that games were available at the condo and all that was present was ~6 incomplete decks of cards and 1 set of dominoes.
Overall I would definitely come back! -

SeattleExcellent Stay in Whistler
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I was looking for a cabin that could hold around 8-10 people for an outdoors man trip my friends and I had planned in Whistler. We were looking for something affordable, but also comfortable to sleep everybody. We were also looking for easy access to the village. This cabin not only satisfied each requirement, it went above and beyond. The cabin was gigantic and could have slept 10 people very comfortably. It had comfortable beds, couches, an upstairs loft, a hot tub, a nice kitchen and a big flat screen TV. It was also right on the shuttle line to get to lower village easily. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to lower village if you don't want to take the shuttle. The total cost for two nights during summer split 6-10 ways was very affordable. A steal for what we were getting. Also, everything about the booking process was incredibly smooth. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I am already trying to find schedule a time a few years out to come back up here myself.
The only negative that I can think of was when I we first pulled in. There are only 2 visitor parking spots and both of them have a sign saying that without a pass, you'll be towed. The instructions given to me said to park here temporarily then to go up to the room to grab the keys then go down and park in the spot. We did just this, but when I came back down to my car, there was a tow truck backing in getting ready to tow me, after I was only away for five minutes! Thankfully I wasn't 1 minute later, but I explained the situation and the guy just took off on his merry way. This negative is probably just due to bad luck, but that would have been an awful way to start the vacation. -

Our family had a wonderful time at Whistler. The townhouse we rented was very spacious and clean. The property was ready upon our arrival and was "as advertised". We would definitely stay here again if we needed book a place for a large group at Whistler.

Overall the place was great for a large group. Lots of places to sleep and lots of bathroom space. My only complaint is that there was not enough toilet paper stocked up for our whole trip so we had to buy some more. Also there was no whine opener so we had to buy one of those as well.

Ferndale, WACan't go wrong... Luxury away from home
Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My large family and I booked this place at the last moment and were 100% satisfied and happy. It is very large (2200 ft, as I recall), 3 floors, with spacious rooms. The main bedroom is alone on the top floor.
The bus stops right at the front door and so we were never long or far from the lifts and the Village. After a day of skiing, we could ski to the unit (on the Blackcomb side). -

Chicago, IL, USAProperty like this one should be kept in better shape!

The SnowGoose 16 (Sg16), as this townhome is called, is about as average of a place as you can get - it looks a bit dated, and it shows it's rental purpose, with it's old appliances and furniture. It is well situated, with easy local bus/shuttle access, and about 1 mile from the Whistler village center, an easy 15 min walk away. There is a spacious common underground garage for your standard cars, although larger vehicles, like big Suvs or vans will fit tightly.
Our biggest problem was somewhat non-assertive owners, and their lack of engagement in solving our concerns. Owners were at the townhome literally next door, SnowGoose 15, yet they were not responding to our calls or door knocks. The biggest of all the problems we had, was an old and beat up refrigerator, which was not working. Now, imagine what happens to milk, meats, fish, frozen goods, cheese, and other perishable items when they stay at close to room temperatures. It was not a pleasant realization that we do not have a fridge, and we did contact the owners promptly, only to be told that fridge is working properly! Giving it a benefit of the doubt, we left ice trays with fresh water in them in the freezer when we left skiing on our first day, only to find them in the same shape and "liquidity" as we left them - warm and not even a frost on them. It took another few days for owners to send a repair person to fix the fridge. Fridge was repaired, but most of our perishable items were already spoiled, and half of our $600 worth of groceries were thrown away. We never heard from the owners, which I consider to be a very poor service.
I could list a few other things, like cheap and used up mattresses, doors that do not shut, showers that need new caulking and updating, lack of towels and linens, balcony that is falling apart, etc, etc. All these things should be kept in a much better shape for a place that is so close to the village and that costs so much. At the end, I can not really recommend this property. -

VancouverPerfect Location and Perfect accommodation
Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The accommodation was amazing and fit us just right. The cooking appliances might need a little bit of maintenance as the stove did not seem to heat up adequately. The timer on the oven was also off.
The new barbecue was also very helpful with our meals.
The hot tub was broken when we got there but one quick call to the maintenance staff was all that was needed to get it fixed.
Other then that the accommodation was perfect for us and we hope to come again next year and look for the same quality location.

Vancouver, B.C.Large amount of space but amenities has poor quality
Left on 12/12/2011 for a stay in November 2011
During the stay at snowgoose with my family. I noticed that this condo is really big, but most of the equipment and furniture are old and needs to do some renovation. For example, some blinds in the bedroom are broken, it could not cover the winoow entirely maybe covered only half of the window. In term of the amenities, a lot of kitchen tools were broken, the pots were not clean at all. Coffee maker still has coffee grounds left in it. There weren't any spices provided for the guests to do their cooking. From my past experience, the condos that I rent from always from spices for guests to use. There were only a little bit of salt in the cabinet. I found that there were not enough tissue paper rolls in the bathroom, especially our family has 10 people. The good thing is that it provided lots of space for a party of more than 10 people. The location is fine since there is a bus stop right in front of it. We didn't receive extra service during the stay.

We ( 8 in our group) have rented Snowgoose #16 10 times over the past 15 years.Other than the Hot Tub & BBQ, there have been no improvements to the home. The age is showing.
We arrived at 500pm to find the toilets with mould in the bowls, bathroom towels for maybe 2 guests only, no sheets or bedding for the pullout sofa on the landing, BBQ filthy, around it littered with cigarette butts & garbage, Hot Tub filthy & unsafe to use with, large crumbs & food chunks in kitchen drawers & DR table dirty with stuff stuck on it. The carpets are badly in need of replacing, but that was not dangerous. We specifically asked for extra toilet paper as we were 8 women, but alas there were 2 in the entire townhouse. We called , & texted Shirley who responded right away directing us to move to # 15. We went into # 15 to find the home in better shape, but the BBQ was unusable as there were no cables to hook up the propane. We had to go back to the BBQ in $16, clean it & use it. This same scenario occurred last year on the same weekend, only then the beds hadnot even been changed or made. The home's location is fantastic with a short 20 min walk to the village centre. The Fireplace & general coziness is inviting. The size is perfect for our group. -

Langley, BCSpacious but poorly maintained
Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Great location. Home is very spacious and was well-suited for our family reunion (four couples and four bedrooms). Large kitchen, dining room and living room easily accommodated our family. Also has an excellent hot tub on deck that was refreshing after all our hikes.
But, the home is poorly maintained. Bathrooms were clean, but carpets had visible dirt, and there was no working vacuum cleaner in unit. Garburator did not work and there was rotting food still in it when we arrived. The BBQ, which we had planned on using daily, was old, rusted, and the gas burner completely covered with charcoal and garbage. After cleaning it out the burner still did not throw a proper flame and we ended up having to fry steaks and other meals on the range. Many of the window blinds were broken. Finally, the bed in the master suite was old, sunken in the middle, and extremely uncomfortable.
This home has so much potential, and considering the cost to rent, it should be maintained so much better.
My wife and I have been going to Whistler a couple of times a year for the last 15 years and were looking for a larger place to start holding annual family reunions. I was hoping Snowgoose would be the place for us, but unfortunately not. -

Lions Bay, BCFamily reunion for 16+ baby
Left on 04/27/2011 for a stay in April 2011
While both condos gave us enough space for a large family reunion, the cleanliness of the places was wanting. They both smelled of dirty carpets and when searching for a lost object we noticed that there were many items (socks, toys, etc) and much dirt under the cushions of the couches. In both condos, the carpets are in need of cleaning, especially with a small baby who often sat on them. The kitchen appliances are very, very old. We found that the ovens did not reach the expected temperatures and this caused two evening meals to be ready at very late hour. The dishwashers are on their last legs and did not clean well. The windows are also in need of a good cleaning. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable and there were sufficient clean towel for the stay. The location and bus service to the condos was very good. The condo complex was quiet. The underground parking and garbage/recycling was very good. I would recommend the condos with the caveat that the condos are well used and a little shabby.

ChicagoGood rental for a group, decent place to crash
Left on 03/17/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Overall our stay went well and we only had a few disappointments in the rental. Snowgoose 16 provided us with a decent place to rest after a full day of skiing. The price was on the cheaper side of rentals that can accommodate groups of 10 or more and price was a large part of why we selected this rental.
Check-in was easy and it was easy to get in and out of the cabin. Having wireless internet was also a plus. The table and living room were large enough to accommodate our group of 10. We didn't have any new snow while we were there (too bad for skiing!) so the outside walkways were clear. Getting to and from the free Whistler shuttle was easy but we ended up driving into town for the evenings for extra convenience.
The kitchenware was mix and match but had most of what we needed except for salt, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and garbage bags. I recommend not using the grill. That was a disappointment to us as we bought groceries to grill out for first dinner there.
Also, the loft is more like a large landing in between the living room on the main floor and master bedroom upstairs. -

Left on 01/17/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The unit was not clean upon arrival. We had to buy cleaning supplies to clean up kitchen before we could use it. Other than dishwasher soap, there were no cleaning aides, no garbage bags, zippo. The barbeque was filthy, old cigarette butts on it, out of propane, no light on deck. Carpets, floors, bathrooms had not been cleaned properly. There was no shine to anything! There was a greasy film throughout kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen supplies were inadequate, old, worn, mismatched and strewn throughout the cupboards. White towels in bathrooms were not white, very worn, lufra like. Outlet in master ensuite did not work.
We have stayed in alot of units in Whistler and other ski areas and have never experienced such uncleanliness as we did with this unit.
The outside walkways from the unit to the road and underground parking area were a sheet of ice and not maintained adequately or safely. In the 3 days we were there, they stayed the same.
If you want repeat customers and referrals, this unit is overdue for a reno - even a splash of cheap paint would clean it up. Everything is old and worn. The bathrooms smell of mildew.
Not a crowd pleaser. We were very disappointed - we won't be back.
