Seattle, Washington, United StatesSerenity but close to the Craziness that is the Village
Left on 01/20/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We visit Whistler often and have stayed in all types of accommodations. Painted Cliff #11 is one of the best.
Positives: 3 full bedrooms. 2 full bathrooms. Laundry in unit. Secure spot for your boards/skis. Heated floors. Secured underground parking. Steps to bus stop. Beautifully updated. Quality linens. Very well stocked kitchen, with quality utensils and basic staples included. Easy ski in ski out location on Blackcomb. And a rather spectacular view.
Negatives: Light outside downstairs bedroom fills room with light and no way to block it out which can make it hard for some to sleep. Unit is very warm and hard to regulate heat with the thermostats.
We highly recommend this unit if you want to be away from the noise of the village. Bus #5 stops across from the complex entrance every 15 minutes on average. It drops you at the base of Whistler and runs until 3 am. This is a free service and is a 5 minute ride!
Previous reviewer had a difficulty with Linda at aloha but we did not have a single issue. There correspondences were prompt, helpful and friendly.Response from Aloha Whistler Accommodations Ltd. - 01/23/2013

Missoula MTTough Mudder Weekend!
Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This place rocked! My team and I procrastinated on getting lodging for our trip to run the Tough Mudder and what do you know, the entire valley was booked by the time we started looking. I found this and it was well priced, great location and really made the trip.
Thanks again and I will be calling for my next trip! -

SeattlePerfect!!!
Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We rented this unit at the last minute for a New Year's Eve vacation for our family of 6. It was the perfect size. The kitchen was well-stocked, as was the entire unit. We have 4 kids and there were 4 twin beds, so there was no fighting about who had to share with whom. There were some games there and a fabulous hot tub for apres ski. It wasn't easy to get to the village, we rode the shuttle on New Year's Eve which was an adventure but probably saved money in the long run with not heading down for apres ski everyday. All in all we had a fabulous trip and would stay there again. Didn't love Linda at aloha Whistler found her a bit abrasive and probably wouldn't have taken the unit if I hadn't been dealing with someone else the day before.

Laurel MarylandNice View - Good Access - But No Ski Boots?
Left on 01/27/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Enjoyed the place very much. The electronic key pad was excellent - 4 guys and didn't need a key. The kitchen was modern and had everything.
The view from the living area was wonderful, looking over the Upper Village and mountains.
However, I was put off by 5 (yes, 5 signs) that said NO! ski boots on the stairs. Now this unit is on the second floor and I understand the need to be quiet but...the stairway is very narrow and there is no foyer at the door. So, 4 (or more) skiers are to put their ski boots on, one at a time, on the stairs?? Obviously this would take 15 minutes or more with everyone standing around waiting. If the solution to the quiet is so important then put a ski locker and bench outside the front door.

GurnseyA warm home a Painted Cliff!
Left on 01/13/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Painted Cliff #11 is a lovely condo, with a real log fire, and has been recently renovated, with an attractive and functional kitchen. The owner has left a very large DVD collection, with many up to date films. The views from the lounge are over snow capped mountains, and it is very close to a bus stop. Overall, an excellent stay, and the staff at Aloha were most helpful.
