A very uncomfortable unit, poorly laid out, much too small, and far from ski in/ski out. We were extremely disappointed and felt very mislead as to the size and quality of the unit. Way too many stairs, and all the area rugs made it feel very low grade. We were also misrepresented as to ski in/ski out. Not at all ski in/ski out. We were booked for a month, paid $5,000 for the month, in advance. Woefully inadequate unit, in need of some work, and not at all as represented. In hindsight, Aloha was lucky to get $1,000 from us for just two nights. But we appreciated getting out of the unit, getting $4,000 back, and also the service was good on all levels. Read more
Response from Aloha Whistler Accommodations Ltd. - 05/02/2014
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with Aloha Whistler, and with Painted Cliff #11.
While we always endeavour to send the appropriate measurements and sq. footage of each home, correct distance to the ski hill, and proper amenities lists to each guest, we appreciate that sometimes those details can be overlooked. It's never quite the same as being in the home itself.
I wanted to let you know that we are completing unit evaluations this week. We will be looking at beds and linens, flooring, maintenance requirements and much more. Previous guest comments have all been very positive, so when we receive one that says otherwise, we take it very seriously.
Again, I appreciate the time it took you to submit your feedback, and would encourage you to contact us regarding any future stays in Whistler. I would love for you to experience that same great service combined with some of the other world-class lodgings we have available to offer. Until next time, John.

Great family rental

Everything really was as advertised. Great location, easy access, nice amenities. Kitchen was well stocked and the unit was spacious. The bed in the master was not as comfortable as we would have liked, but otherwise it was excellent.
A great place to unwind, ski-in/out but close enough to village

Stayed here for 10 days with wife, two teenage sons and a younger daughter. We all appreciated being able to get to/from the slopes in seconds, and the hot tub was in much demand. We were also pleased to find an extensive DVD collection and decent TVs to watch them on. Excellent wifi service too.
We also very much appreciated the well-furnished kitchen and the general layout of the unit - the high ceilings in the main room give the feeling of lots of space.
And if we ever had any questions, the aloha team seemed to have the answers almost before we could voice them - they really looked after us and made us feel at home!
Comfy and Great Location

Family stayed over the Christmas holidays. Comfortable, clean and well located (steps from slopes and walkeable to the village or easy shuttle access to the village)

I've stayed around this location many times during the Winter months but never in the Summer or Fall. The views are great and the location is nice and quiet, but close enough to chaos if you choose to party all night. We had a lovely time.

Tough Mudder Weekend!

This place rocked! My team and I procrastinated on getting lodging for our trip to run the Tough Mudder and what do you know, the entire valley was booked by the time we started looking. I found this and it was well priced, great location and really made the trip.
Thanks again and I will be calling for my next trip!

We rented this unit at the last minute for a New Year's Eve vacation for our family of 6. It was the perfect size. The kitchen was well-stocked, as was the entire unit. We have 4 kids and there were 4 twin beds, so there was no fighting about who had to share with whom. There were some games there and a fabulous hot tub for apres ski. It wasn't easy to get to the village, we rode the shuttle on New Year's Eve which was an adventure but probably saved money in the long run with not heading down for apres ski everyday. All in all we had a fabulous trip and would stay there again. Didn't love Linda at aloha Whistler found her a bit abrasive and probably wouldn't have taken the unit if I hadn't been dealing with someone else the day before.
Nice View - Good Access - But No Ski Boots?
Left on 01/27/2010 for a stay in January 2010 | mikedflip
Enjoyed the place very much. The electronic key pad was excellent - 4 guys and didn't need a key. The kitchen was modern and had everything.
The view from the living area was wonderful, looking over the Upper Village and mountains.
However, I was put off by 5 (yes, 5 signs) that said NO! ski boots on the stairs. Now this unit is on the second floor and I understand the need to be quiet but...the stairway is very narrow and there is no foyer at the door. So, 4 (or more) skiers are to put their ski boots on, one at a time, on the stairs?? Obviously this would take 15 minutes or more with everyone standing around waiting. If the solution to the quiet is so important then put a ski locker and bench outside the front door.
A warm home a Painted Cliff!

Painted Cliff #11 is a lovely condo, with a real log fire, and has been recently renovated, with an attractive and functional kitchen. The owner has left a very large DVD collection, with many up to date films. The views from the lounge are over snow capped mountains, and it is very close to a bus stop. Overall, an excellent stay, and the staff at Aloha were most helpful.
