Mountainstar is a selection of Luxury townhomes set in an idyllic slopeside location. This particular 3 bedroom end Townhome is in an extremely private setting, abutting the Ski out and woodland. To the rear is a private courtyard where the Hot Tub is located. Accommodation is of a high quality finish with well planned and spacious rooms. The lounge offers and large dining area and an open plan gourmet kitchen. There are three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sofabed in the lounge. Last year my wife and I stayed at the Fairmont in Whistler but this year we were were travelling with a group of friends and wanted something more comfortable and spacious. I learned about the Mountainstar Resort through a friend and immediately upon contacting the staff was impressed with their dedication to making our holiday as good as it could be.
They helped us with ski passes, lessons for new skiers and the places to rent equiptment which helped us save a lot of wasted time meaning that we could spend more time hitting the slopes.
The house that we stayed was perfect. The rooms were a good size, the location (right on the slopes) allowed us to ski-in ski-out and the hot tub on the back patio helped sooth away the aches and pains. Having a kitchen was also handy although we ate out most of the time. Its a short walk down the slope to a few bars and the ski lift. You can get the bus but we preferred the walk down and then into Whistler for a more lively time. However coming back i recommend the free bus!! We shall return next year for sure.
