The Whistler Outback is located in Green Lake Estates on the Nicklaus North Golf Course just a 5 minute drive to the Village and ski lifts. The Clubhouse offers lake front dining and casual yet elegant fare. The home is on the Valley Trail offering designated paths for walking and cycling throughout all of Whistler including it's many parks and lakes. There is an efficient public transit system accessible at the entrance to the subdivision. In the winter, step out your back door and get on the extensive nordic cross country ski trails, groomed for both skate and classic skiing. The Meadow Park Sports Centre is a 5 minute walk and includes a public regulation sized pool, large kids pool, ice arena, squash courts, full gym and organized fitness classes for nominal fees.

This home was absolutely perfect for our large australian family. We have two married sons, a daughter and 2 baby grandchildren - and three other adult relatives came too. The family with the baby and toddler stayed on the top floor which as great. The rest of us were not disturbed by crying babies in the night as we were all two floors below with living area on middle floor. The home was immaculate and spacious. I was a bit worried as to whether the living space would be enough for all of us but it was fantastic. The laundry and kitchen were also very well equipped and spacious. The owners were wonderfully obliging and helpful too. Would definitely stay there again if ever back in Whistler.

We just spent 5 days at this marvelous home. There were 5 boys, ages 6,8,8,11, and 15 plus 5 adults and it was perfect. It is a beautifully laid out house, well stocked and supplied, and perfect for families of all ages. Everyone loved this house.

We stayed at the Whistler Outback this January and absolutely loved the place. The home is not your average cookie cutter rental. While very high end, its décor is eclectic with lots of old wood, pottery, and country charm. The kitchen is to-die-for, huge with cupboards full of quality cookware, glassware, cutlery and everything in between. The location is spectacular with panoramic mountain views and a wide open winter backyard for snowmen. The master bedroom is separated by a couple of floors from the other bedrooms so my husband and I were able to "get away” and relax with our own gas fireplace, TV, deluxe king bed and soaker tub. I would recommend the property for families or a couples retreat. Immaculately kept and very well managed, complete with knowledgeable concierge services.

We were looking for a Whistler location for our family of 6. Friends suggested that we rent a house rather than condo/hotel and it was a great move. Found The Outback online and made easy arrangements.
Lori was great, made sure we had all the info we needed and introduced us to Peak to Creek Concierge who were able to book ski lessons and rentals, as well as arrange (and set up) a crib for our son. Concierge service was included with the rental.
The house is beautiful and huge. Everyone had their own room and bath. There's a big hot tub on the main floor deck, entertainment sized family room and well equipped, modern kitchen.
Also, extras I hadn't anticipated, but appreciated - midweek cleaning, heated garage (made the 10 minute drive to Blackcomb Ski School much more comfortable, and the driveway was cleared everyday.
Twice during our stay we had friends with kids over for dinner and there was plenty of room for 10 adults and 10 children.
Our friends (who live in Whistler) still mention what a great setup it was for families.
The price was comparable to a 2 bedroom condo in the village. We didn't mind being 10 minutes from "the action" - having a big home, where we weren't living on top of each other, made for a much more relaxing and convenient stay.
We will definitely be back again. -

My family and I enjoyed a week of skiing in Whistler and stayed at this fabulous property Jan 23-30, 2011. I cant say enough about the house! It was perfect for us. Huge fireplace, great living/dining area, a chef's dream kitchen with everything you could imagine at your disposal. Even real saddles to use as bar stools! With three teenagers, the fact that each had their own bathroom and bedroom was perfect. The master bedroom on the top floor was outstanding and allowed for sufficient privacy and a great place to relax after a big day on the slopes. The house was exceptionaly clean and we found everything to be in good working order. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and will certainly be back!
