The unit itself was more than adequate. It is clearly an older unit but was clean and appears to be well-maintained. I would, however, suggest that the carpets be replaced or at least be steam cleaned. The beds were not particularly comfortable. The private hot tub surrounded by trees was great. The secluded pool area was amazing.
I was unaware that garbage had to be removed by us. I should have received warming of this at the time the other rental policies were emailed to me. Instead, the info was apparently in an iphone app which i did not completely read. This is important information which needs to be communicated clearly. There should be an information booklet in the until itself, outlining such policies as well as offering information about the location of the garbage room, pool, pool key etc. A map of the complex would also have been helpful (ie in finding the path to the pool).
I am disappointed to have been charged for failing to take my garbage with me when I was unaware of this. The unit itself, however, was more than adequate and we definitely enjoyed our stay there. Read more
Thank you for your comments Sara. I am glad that we were able to resolve the garbage issue and we are currently talking to the owner about replacing the carpets and some of the beds. We appreciate your feedback.

We had a great time in Whistler! We enjoyed the peak-to-peak and just walking around the village. The house was great, but not just as pictured. It would have been nice to have a welcoming book to let us know where everything was and all the housekeeping details as well as location of pool. As a family we enjoyed it all!
My family and I rented the cabin for a long weekend this summer. There were 11 of us staying there. The cabin is beautiful in a great location. It was great for what we wanted in regards to price, location and amenities. We really wanted a cabin with a good deck to host a party. There were plenty of bathrooms and the jacuzzi was great. Our only complaint is that it really should not be advertised as sleeping 11. The pullout is in the main living room with no privacy and the mattress was awful - literally sleeping on springs and completely caved in the middle! The second night we opted to sleep on the floor because it was more comfortable. The other mattresses were not too much better - especially the twin beds in the basement. The owners really need to purchase new mattresses if they want to continue to rent this cabin and I would suggest only saying that it sleeps 9 at most.

It's been a fantastic experience all over the board. The cabin was beautiful (and way larger than we expected!).
We were also very impressed with the managing company: the manager was very fast and super nice, most parts of the rental process were automated and the phone app came very handy. Our group works for a hi-tech company so we really appreciated the convenience of having all the information we need at the fingertips: property info, maps, GPS instructions, recommendations for things to do and a lot more. There wasn't anything that property management didn't think of and it made us feel well taken care of.
Thank you so much for this wonderful weekend! We decided to make it our yearly trip from now:)

A group of friends and I headed up for a long weekend and had a wonderful time at the taluswood 36. It had lots of sleeping space for a ski town condo and a nice location. The property manager was very nice when booking the place and that made for a pleasant experience. I would recommend this place.
The stay was just okay because of a few things. First, the place was not well cleaned - the kitchen floor was dirty and many of the dishes were dirty (poor dishwasher likely). Also a few of the beds were soft, so some of us had sore low backs. And the place was advertised as "Ski In Ski Out". It definitely was not according the to the info we were given by the manager. We had to hike 30 minutes up an unplowed hill in ski boots/snowboard boots carrying gear. It was ridiculous and wrecked the day for a few people who were sore before they started skiing. Later, we found easier Ski In Ski Out access but it was still a 5 minute walk. To top it off, the hot tub would not get hot! Everything else was fine but we'd likely not go back there because of the reasons listed above.
Wonderful ski holiday at Whistler with great conditions

check in was early which allowed us to prepare a turkey dinner on Dec24 !The kitchen was well equipped, beds were very comfortable, nice big bathrooms with lots of hot water. Some light bulbs need changing, towel racks fallen off the wall, placemats for dining table would be nice. It would be nice to provide a small map indicating the location of the ski in from the run. It was not easy to find and we ended up walking along the road on the first day.
Excellent convenient property for family or group of friends!

Property was perfect for a group of friends visiting Whistler Blackcomb for a few days of skiing! Home was comfortable and amenities were great (hot tub!). Pull out queen bed was uncomfortable but all other bedding was great! Had everything we needed, great location and home, would definitely rent again!

Nice unit overall but maintenance and general condition of some furnishings could have been a bit better. Some initial maintenance problems which the management company address right away, so good job there. Our main disappointment though was this unit was advertised as ski-in/ski-out and I would definitely not consider it such. Ski out access consisted of a 3 block walk and across the main road to a Very narrow (and dangerous when icy) trail that does empty out on the Dave Murray run. Ski-in was a bit better but also dangerous when Icy but that at least emptied out just down the block from the unit. We ended up driving to the bottom of creekside most day so not worth the premium one would normally pay for true ski-in / ski-out.
