      Best place in the world!

Left on 03/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Excellent vacation skiing in whistler, this is my fourth time in whistler and 3rd staying in glaciers reach. I like it the that much that I recommended my friend to stay there earlier in the year, needless to say they love it too.
Trev the manager is always so helpful, like most people in whistler, well worth travelling from Scotland. Hopefully be back next year :)

      Quiet One Bedroom Retreat

Left on 02/23/2013 for a stay in August 2012

We had stayed in this unit several times. Only reasons not to select this unit are if you need more than one bedroom or stairs are an issue for you. Quiet unit, at the edge of the village, neat the market, walking distance to everything. Well maintained, clean and excellent response from the management company for any questions. Would select this unit again. If you have a large vehicle, the parking slots are tight.

Came here for a relaxing time. Trevor the owner as always is a pleasure to deal with, he made sure hot tub was clean and ready. Regarding why I only gave 4 stars for the " property general condition (amenities)", would like to have in the units, saran wrap, foil paper.

      You can't beat the whistler

Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013

      Well we're do I start!
the apartment is perfect it has all the cooking facilities and entertainment facilities, wifi and a I pod dock. a nice big tv that has all the HD inputs for all your gadgets.
The apartment is very modern and clean with a nice gas coal effect fire. with two floors both with balcony s, the top one has its own private hot tub about five steps away from your bed, great for sore legs after a hard day on the mountain.
The location is great its about a fifteen minute walk threw the amazing streets of whistler and your at the foot of the hill. the market place is just around the corner for all your food and drink ect...
I would recommend this place to any one and will be going back every year if my bank manager lets me!

      Was a ok/good stay

Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in December 2012

When we first got there, the place was way smaller than we thought it would be judging by the pictures. I'm guessing the pictures were taking at an angle that displays it bigger. It was clean and tidy, impressed with all of the extra things needed such as extra pillows, blankets, towels, kitchen ware, etc. Lastly, on our second last day of our stay, someone was banging on the floor door at 11am yelling at us saying that we should of been checked out at 10am. We were still sleeping so it was a clearly bad wake up call. Someone had to eventually go down and tell the girl that was screaming that we aren't checking out till tomorrow...

The place was great! Clean, cozy, everything we needed! The space was perfect for the two of us and having the private hot tub was such a nice bonus! The complex is great and so close to get to all the shops and stroll through the village! We were lucky enough to be staying during the first snowfall of the season! Such a beautiful place! We will definitely return and hope to stay at this place again if its available.

We have stayed in various units at Glacier's Reach over the years. The property is older now but kept up, and we find the location convenient for getting around the village and trails. The private hot tub is a great place to relax! New curtains and a new t.v. were nice improvements to this unit. We like the home-away-from-home feel here, and Trevor is great to deal with!

The location is perfect for doing anything in Whistler. Easy access to upper and lower village. , and a great home base. Only minor maintenance issue was the upper screen door to the hottub was very hard to open and close but no biggie. Free concerts in the Olympic Plaza over the weekend are just a 5 minute walk away, for a fun evening activity.

Left on 06/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Perfect place to get away, relax and still be close to the Village Stroll. Private hot tub is quite secluded, except for the next door neighbor (no hot tub on their balcony though so we never saw anyone out there). Suite is clean and well-maintained (could use a few updates like a more modern tv- we brought cables to connect with a laptop for movies but the tv was too old - and a new iron). Rental company is professional, communicates promptly and can accommodate special requests like late check-out... overall a great stay and we will definitely be returning!

Excellent stay in glaciers reach!! Recommend whistler vacations!

Left on 03/22/2012 for a stay in March 2012

After a disastrous booking to stay at glaciers reach through "enjoy whistler" the previous year when they told us at the last minute that the apartment we booked was double booked. That they would give us something similar, which when we arrived was just a room with a bed, toilet and a kettle(self catering!!)
Anyway this time I contacted Trev at whistler vacations and told him about my previous stay at glaciers reach.....Trev re-assured me and Whistler vacations was a joy to deal with! The apartment was the exact one I had asked for with the private hot tub!
We were staying for 12 nights and had a wonderful time, with our stay in glaciers reach being faultless!! Whilst out there I tried to call Trev over an minor query and he replied to me within minutes! Very helpful, lovely apartment and great value for money! I will defo stay there again, hopefully next year and can recommend booking through whistler vacations!!!! Be cautious of enjoy whistler who also book out apartments in glaciers reach!

We found our stay very enjoyable - the location especially met our needs with 2 young kids, as it was close to restaurants and groceries. The hot tub and pool arrangement were also good. The property manager Trevor was very responsive and friendly. Because the bedroom was separated by one floor from the living room where the kids slept, it was very quiet and private. The bedroom could have used a TV though!

Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in January 2012

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay at Glaciers reach in Whistler. The property was very clean and it has a cozy feel. The only thing that I wish about this property that could be differant is that it wasn't so hard to lug all your luggage into the townhome from where the parking was. Other than that the overall location of it was great. It was right across the road from village square and the hot tub was amazing after a long day of snowboarding.

Townhouse with private hot tub very clean & well maintained

Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in December 2011

It was our first stay at Glaciers Reach Townhouse. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. The hot tub on the balcony was a huge bonus and the location on the backside of the complex was away from the road. It was really easy to take the shuttle to the gondolas however you could walk about 10 minutes. The grocery store was just a couple minute walk, very handy. The bedroom and bathroom were on the top floor and the kitchen and mainroom were in the middle, a flight of stairs greets you when you open the front door and there is another flight of stairs between the main room and the bedroom/bathroom. There were two large balconies the upper one outside the bedroom had the hot tub on it. There was a nice view from the hot tub. We liked it. We would probably go for a two bedroom if we were to stay again. The main room/kitchen was cozy for a family with two kids but it worked, it was very clean and the hot tub/quiet was great!

Hi NickI think that your evaluation of this home is overly critical for the following reasons. We have had a string of emails about these things with the following results; your main issue was that the home does not have a BBQ and this is true but in no place does it say that it came with a BBQ? As you know we do have a BBQ that we make available for our guests for a $30 fee to cover the time required to deliver and clean it. The Jacuzzi bath tub was and is operational but was missing one jet, thank you for bringing this to my attention, a new one has been ordered. I did find a single piece of glass on the deck behind the hot tub. As far as cleaning goes it is difficult to comment as I was not in your home at the time of your arrival but I do known that I have two fantastic in house cleaners and that have an amazing track record as is evident from the hundreds of positive guest reviews. I hope that any potential guest reading these reviews takes the time to look at the many other positive reviews of this home. Perfect weekend getaway!

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011

After a bit of a slow start getting the reservation confirmed and some concerns alleviated (mixed reviews on other units in the same complex), the unit was absolutely perfect! The place was clean, functional, perfectly located (walked to everything). The hot tub was amazing, on a very private top floor balcony largely shaded by trees facing the park to the rear of the building (other units face the court yard or on lower floors, put you on display for the neighbors). The place was spotless, a bit dated but extremely well maintained, lots of great amenities (DVD player, iPod doc). Chlorine level in the hot tub was a bit harsh, came back from a day on the mountain looking forward to soaking away our aches but all of our scrapes burned like acid, couldn’t use it the second night. Lots of younger guests, plenty of activity but no problem with noise. Overall, our new favourite place to stay in Whistler, would take the perks and mod-cons over the posh of the Fairmont CW for a romantic weekend getaway.

Second time staying here. Last time was 4 years ago and I was as pleased this time as I was then. Only two things that stick out as far as improvment. Hot tub smells like it has a ton of clorene (but thats better than the alternative), no frying pan in #58. I also wish I remembered to bring DVDs as there was a DVD player there. There was also an awesoem Ipod stereo docking station that was cool.
      Thanks for a great stay!

All of the kitchens have at least two frying pans, they can ususally be found in the drawer under the stove. I will double check this tomorow just in case. It looks like someone had departed on your arrival date, when is a departure arrival the hot tub company does shock the tubs with quite a bit of clorene.

We absolutely loved it!! I have to say I had the best birthday ever! We definitely have to go back again sometime soon! The privacy in the back with the trees was just what we wanted. I looked down at the trail we faced and said "Look at the size of that dog...wait a minute, that's a bear!!" THAT was a moment! The room was very well equipped, nice and clean and the perfect location for going into town. I was VERY impressed with the guide book on the table that Trevor made up. We tried the Wild Wood Bistro for breaky and Carumba for dinner that he recommended and they were both fantastic! Good job Trevor!! The whole trip was just perfect for us! I did forget to take my fridge magnet :( but we really did enjoy our stay. Thank you so much!!

Good place to stay clean, had everything you need, my hubby said a flat screen would of been nice and the toaster should of had a bagel setting....other than that pretty good. We did call the manager a few times to get a BBQ but never ended up getting one which was dissapointing as we would of used it alot. Its very close to grocery store, drug store, liquor stores and the village of whislter just a short 10-15 min walk. I would stay there again and reccomend it to friends! Also reasonalbe!

We do have a portable BBQ that I offered to bring this guest but he declined. We have two portable BBQs that are available on a first come basis. We do charge $20 for this just to pay for my staffs time, propane and the bbq of course.

Located just a few steps away from the extended village stroll, there was nothing not to like about this suite. The amenities were all taken care of and the private hot tub on the upper deck was perfect. Totally recommended for those who want something beyond a simple hotel room and ideal for our purposes as a romantic getaway.

This was our second stay at Glaciers reach . The first 2 BR was good but we enjoyed this 1 BR unit 58 far more. The kitchen was not as well stocked as our last unit 49 but was certainly adequate. That being said the unit was clean and very well maintained. We had a great time, location could not be better. Service has been great both times and Trevor is great to deal with.

We had a great stay at Glaciers Reach, it's walking distance from Whistler Village and after spending the day crusing around whistler it was nice to just sit back in the hot tub and relax before a good nights sleep. The manager was fantastic and the book he has made up for the condo was packed full of interesting things to see and do, made life easy.

We chose this place beacause of the private hot tub, but we could not use after 10pm, which was a drawback. Overall the space was clean but in desperate need of a makeover - musty smell and peeling paint in bathroom. A bargain stay but not for romantic or luxury travel.

As other reviewers have noted, there isn't much space when you come in the front door, but that's a design issue that can't be changed. I am not clear what Terry (this guest) is refering to. In the past year this home has had extensive upgrades including; new paint throughout, new carpets, new bed and douvet, new carpets, all of the tables have been resurfaced, a new leather couch and new hot tub cover.
When I asked the guest what specifically could be done Terry mentioned that the ceiling had a water mark. I painted the water mark the next day.

Not as nice as the pictures

Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in November 2009

Although clean with almost everything (no kettle, roasting pan) you need, the main living space is cramped. Has that 'run down' look (water damage in bathroom) and patchy paint job. Also does not have 'free' internet access as advertized and limited cable TV. Was difficult to keep temperature at a reasonable level. Hot tub is older model with weak jets but was private and hot. Didn't feel very secure, no deadbolt to secure entry (safety chain was broken). Glad I didn't pay full rate. Would not go back.

      #58 Glaciers Reach 1 BR

Left on 08/09/2009 for a stay in August 2009

I was happy to stay at Glaciers Reach instead of a hotel due to the fact it was much more spacious for the money paid. There were 3 levels. Bottom is the entrance, middle is the main level with the living room and full kitchen, and the top floor was the bathroom, bedroom, and hot tub. The suite had a nice sized kitchen with clean appliances. The bedroom had AC which was necessary in this BC Heat Wave we've had recently. The fact there was no one required to talk to made the whole experience feel unique. You get to your room, enter in the key code provided, and you are in. The only negative I had was that the window to the bathroom faces a neighbor's deck. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will recommend Glaciers Reach to others.

Good location - place could use an update

Left on 03/25/2009 for a stay in March 2009

We enjoyed our time in Whistler - what a beautiful place! We stayed in suite 58 for 2 nights with our 10 month old baby. The place was ok - it was clean with a well equipped kitchen and a cozy feel. The not so good stuff was the sofa bed was too uncomfortable to get any seemed very well used (the bed was comfy though). The hot tub on our balcony had a similar feel (old and well used) which made us more excited about using the pool and hot tub in the courtyard (which was lovely). It also seemed to have a stale smell...maybe the people staying there before us smoked??? I would recommend this place to a young group that is coming to Whistler to enjoy the mountains and the night life because it is so close to everything in Whistler. If the sofa bed and hot tub cover were replaced I think it would make a significant difference in the overall quality of this rental suite and if those changes were made I would likely come back with my family.
