BarnsleyA lovely relaxing stay in a nice clean cottage
Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We were welcomed to a lovely clean cottage with milk already in the fridge. The cottage itself has a very homely feeling and still had pleanty of room with 4 adults and a toddler. It is situated in a great place to explore North Yorkshire. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Even though with a rented cottage there is no face to face contact there are still plenty of numbers and contacts in the cottage for if any questions needed answering.

Its a lovely quaint cottage, that was well equipped for our needs. We have never visited North Yorkshire before but absolutely loved the area, we visited Robin Hood Bay, Whitby and had a lovely walk with the dogs on Runswick Bay in the snow. Would be very happy to stay in one of your cottages again. Many thanks for letting us come at a days notice.

SheffieldSatisfactory but needs improvement
Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We enoyed our stay the cottage was very clean apart for the oven. enough cutlery for an army but lacking the crockery, also there is a need for different sizes of pyrex basins/cassarole dish with lid - these to store food in the fridge and cook not to soil the oven. The clock in the kitchen does not work but there is an oven clock so this clock would be better in the lounge. Bed/settees are not comfortable when sitting. One or two repairs - to the black chair and the table need doing For "Health and Safety Reasons" the main entrance should be from the rear, to carry suitcases up the front steps thru the lounge/kitchen is beyond a joke. The shower room from the cottage next door should have opaque glass by planning constraints I believe. In anycase this room can be seen if people are in the garden above. the steps from the garden slope the wrong way (downwards) and the hand rail is too low - with damp weather these turn green a slippy. Apart from these things it is a very nice cottage, its nice to have a good washing line. This is based on holidays in cottage for over 30 years and if these improvements are made we will be back

LeedsComfortable, relaxing get away in a beautiful location
Left on 05/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Had a lovely break in a beautiful, peaceful location. The cottage is very homely, traditional and spotlessly clean. Great base to explore not far away from Whitby, Sandsend, Robin Hoods Bay and much more.
Good pub in Sleights with very friendly locals who were willing to share their knowledge of the area. Really enjoyed the break and looking forward to booking again.Response from Robert Crosbie - 05/31/2012

Newton-le-Willows MerseysideAnniversary weekend
Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in March 2011
We had a wonderful experience at Wren Cottage. It is a lovely quaint cottage set in a lovely area not far outside Whitby. Once you go over the little bridge its like being in another world.
Upon arrival we were able to explore the cottage which more than met our expectations. As we went in March the weather was quite nice and we were able to sit out in the sun in the garden.
In side the cottage was everything you needed but if you did not want to eat in then a short walk back over the bridge and up the hill (not too steep) you were back to the main road where you could have a pub/resturant meal or a fish shop where you can sit in. There is also a local conveinance store where most things can be purchased if you wanted to cook at the cottage.
We picked a good weekend as in Whitby it was the Victorian weekend, and we saw many people dressed this way.
We paid a visit to Gothland and drove down the main st, we also went to Robin hoods bay a quaint fishing village "beware of the hill".
All in all it was very good weekend in great surroundings in a beautiful cottage.
