Housekeeper was friendly and left cookies and tea/coffee
The house was beautiful inside and was very roomy. It was perfect for our large 3generation family. Location was ideal set back from the main street but within a minute walking distance from bakery and butchers. It was great for cooking and was very roomy for relaxing and eating all together.
We liked the comfy beds & secret stair cases. The house had lots of charector however had all modern amenities.

We spent Christmas in this wonderful Georgian house, which easily accommodated 7 adults and 4 children, with ages ranging from 2 to 93! It is centrally located just off the main shopping street in Whitby, and the accommodation is spacious, warm, very well-furnished and decorated. Two living rooms meant that television or the Wii could be accessed simultaneously. The kitchen was a bit of a squeeze for cooking and serving Christmas dinner but making sure everything we needed was out of the fridge-freezer and oven before people sat down at the table solved most problems! For a winter holiday the lack of outside space was not a problem and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. There is plenty to do in and around Whitby even in December. The children enjoyed the walk up to the abbey, playing on the beach and collecting pebbles and shells, and also spent an afternon pottery painting. Most shops were open and there was plenty of teashops to warm up in after a bracing walk. The snwy weather meant that we were unable to explre the surrounding area as much as we would have liked to but means that we have even more reasons to return to Roseberry House in the summer.
