A fabulous terraced fisherman’s cottage tucked away in Whitby, this characterful property sleeps up to four people. This unusual cottage is spread over four floors and is tucked away in a quiet corner of Whitby. The property has been painstakingly restored with many of the original features retained, including beams and a fireplace. The spacious kitchen is situated in the basement and is very well equipped. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

It's hard to imagine a more wonderfully situated holiday cottage; literally seconds from the heart of Whitby's old town, but incredibly quiet to the point of making you feel as if you were miles away from anything. It suited my wife and I and we would not hesitate from visiting it again.

Lavender cottage was perfect for us. right in the centre of Whitby close to shops, restaurants,and the beach but tucked away in a very quiet location. We were able to take our dog which made it even better. A lovely little cottage, very comfortable. Highly recommended but given the chance we would rather not tell anyone about it so we could keep the secret to ourselves!

The cottage was exceptionally clean and inviting on arrival.
Being March the weather was chilly but the real flame gas fire soon had the sitting room cosy.
The fridge was soon stocked and clothes unpacked and we ventured into the town.
The location was superb, right in the nub of things and the car was not needed at all. It was parked in the handy pay and display not 100 yards away.
The "Dracula Abbey" virtually over looks the cottage and the famous 199 steps to get you there were just up the quaint pedestrian street next to the cottage.
Whitby is a superb fishing village with all you could wish for for a holiday or short stay.
The cottage was superb, sypathetically furnished and very comfortable though not for people who find stairs a problem as the staircase is very steep and takes you to all four floors.It is very well equipped with all the best in labour saving devices(dish washer etc).
The cottage has a 5 star fish and chip shop within 30 yards of the front door so you do not need to cook every night.
We had a great time and will certainly book again.
