The BEST way to deal with "Cabin Fever"...STAY IN ONE~~~!This "cozy" log cabin is STILL, just like NEW, (was completed for the first week of '05!)with an "open concept" (wood cathedral ceilings w/ceiling fans) interior. The scent of pine STILL greets you as you enter!~~~It has warm finished wide pine boards for flooring (scattered with hand made braided rugs) with tile floors in the two baths, and carpet in the basement "family" room.
The dining room has a gas fireplace, with a heavy, 3'X6' plank pine table with seating for six while the full kitchen has a breakfast bar wth seating for four, and it has a small TV/DVD player. If you enjo...Read more

Bikers from Bath, Pa
Bath, PaBeautiful cabin in the woods!
Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in May 2012
This was our second trip to Norma's cabin. When we visited the first time in 2009 we knew we'd be back. There was no question that we'd pick this beautiful cabin in the woods for our next stay. What we liked most was that it was close to great motorcycling destinations. Also, there were plenty of outdoor activities and sight-seeing opportunities nearby. Just a short drive to the coast.

Amesbury, MassachusettsGreat hostess and cabin! Stay here if you can get it!
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
What a great place! Norma is easily the best hostess I've ever met. From the treats she leaves for you, to the cleanliness and condition of the cabin, everything is ideal. On the day we checked in, she greeted us at the door with a smile. After a quick tour, she gave us directions to the places we wanted to visit that week, including driving shortcuts and scenic routes we could use. She keeps maps and brochures of the area at the cabin for the guests, which was very helpful.
The previous guests had broken her toilet seat and she didn't find out until just before we arrived, but Norma had a new seat within an hour for us. She also has all bedding and linens at the cabin so you won't need to bring sheets, towels, or blankets etc. There is a 55" brand new television downstairs with a sofa bed, which is where the kids setup for the week. There is a gas grill and table with 8 chairs out back, where you can grill or just hangout. There is also a two-person hammock which was nice. The loft has 2 queen beds and a television. The master bedroom has a queen-size sleep number bed with a full bath. There is also another bath in the main area with a shower. There is a washer and dryer downstairs (Norma supplies the detergent, of course), a dishwasher in the kitchen. There are cooking utensils, plates, cups and anything else you would need, all clean and in good condition. The place is covered with braided rugs made by Norma's mom, and there is a bear motif throughout the cabin. The place is spotless.
We are looking forward to staying again. We had a nice chat with Norma on the day of checkout, she is too nice. I would recommend this cabin to anybody. My kids love this place. Norma even takes your photo and puts it in her guest book. We saw people from our hometown that we knew who were previous renters. Norma's special touches make this a gem, you won't find a better hostess. -

Randolph, MassachusettsWonderful stay
Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My family and I stayed at the cabin for a week. It was very, private, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor firepit, yard, oversized table for 8 plus guests, and hammock were great. We enjoyed the family room with the Wide Screen Television, and use of the Computer and a good selection of movies and games, having the washer and dryer was a real plus. We loved the design of the home with the many Bear motifs, and decorations, it gave us such a peaceful, and homey feeling, The Master bedroom with the sleep number bed, and the private bath with tub, and shower was the best, so spacious. Having a second bathroom was another added bonus because of the number of guests we had sharing the cabin. The loft area was much bigger than we expected, and the beds were comfortable. Having Televisions in both bedrooms, and the Family Room too was terrific. The Bose radio/CD player was a nice touch, with a decent selection of music by various artists that we all enjoyed. . Norma is a wonderful, gracious, kind, and very friendly owner. Her home made treats were delicious. 2 of the Teenagers did see a bear walking along the road on thier bikes that Norma provided, which was a big hit, and thrill with the kids. We thought we had seen all of the White Mountains, but we were in for a great surprise staying at her log cabin, and experiencing, and discovering some real hidden gems. The cabin is equipped with everything you could hope to have and use. There was one or two minor inconviences that we had to deal with, but overall, our stay was awesome. We would highly recommend her beautiful Cabin in the woods to all our friends, and family. Thank you Norma for renting us your beautiful home. We had a blast

Hartsburg, MissouriFantastic Cabin
Left on 07/11/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stint out east in New Hampshire. Our party of three made the 1,500 mile trek all the way from Hartsburg, Missouri. The cabin was awesome and extremely cozy; we enjoyed being in a little neighborhood that still offered privacy. The house was super clean, amenities were plentiful, and Norma was such a welcoming homeowner. She really informed us about all the local hotspots and "must-sees". The layout was condusive for both small and large families- the kitchen was updated and well stocked with cooking utensils and supplies, the beds were very comfortable, and the decor was rustic and homey. Thank you Norma for making our stay so nice we didn't want to leave! If we ever venture out east again, your abode will be the place we choose to stay!

Agawam, MA5 Star Cabin
Left on 07/11/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This is the best cabin rental! We have stayed here for a week in May 2012 and 2011. From the time you drive up you feel welcome and at home. Norma has equiped the cabin with everything you could possible want or need. She said if you cannot find what you are looking for, you did not look hard enough. I found this to be true when I needed super glue.
It is so nice not to have to bring linens, they are provided for you, and not just one towel per person. Having a washer and dryer is perfect so that you do not have to go home with dirty clothes and spend days washing. I am very picky and found the cabin to be spotless, there was nothing I needed to "clean a little" before settling in.
In the two years we have rented from Norma continues to make add new touches to the cabin, such as a new flat screen TV, fire pit outside. She provides information on activities and attactions in the area. I have never met someone who really wanted their guests to have a perfect rental and time away until I met Norma.
The cabin is about 6 miles away from the main Conway area where there is everything and the lake is not far from the cabin. You are close to everything yet not in a crowded, busy area.
We are planning on going back to the cabin over Thanksgiving and are hoping for snow so that we can snowshoe out the backdoor.
If you rent from Norma, I do not think you will be dissapointed. -

EdgartownAmazing Christmas Week!
Left on 07/08/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My family rented this cabin celebrating Christmas and New Years here. It was magical. We arrived with snow on the ground and Norma had Kissing balls hanging from the Porch. The inside had special Christmas touches as well.A tree in the loft and garland on the railing. After the long ride it was perfect to have a basket of homemade goodies from Norma waiting for us. The cabin was incredibly clean, decorate with so many small touches it took the whole week to see them all, and had everything you would need to cook with. And I mean everything!! The waffle iron was a favorite of all. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom which has a huge closet and its own bathroom. The girls claimed the loft bedroom which gave them their own space yet still feel part of everything and my boys took over the basement family room feeling like they had their own private area to hang out in. All 6 kids loved the cabin and the time spent there. Christmas eve we decorated a tree and Norma went out of her way leaving us lights bulbs and a tree skirt. During our stay we skied Cranemore three times, went skating at the area, went tubing, on a train ride and shopping at the outlets. Getting to the places was so easy from the cabin. It is in a perfect location that you feel away from it all while there but its just a hop skip and a jump to everything. After the fun filled day it was always amazing to come back to the cabin. We would have dinner on in the crock pot, fire place ready and settling in with PJs and board games. Our family really reconnected here. This cabin and Norma deliver you a 5 star stay. From the moment you email her to inquire about the stay you will receive attentiveness and warmth from her. On arrival the basket of goodies, the toiletries waiting in the bathroom, and the well stock spices, pans and utilities will make you feel right at home as well as welcomed to be there. Thank you Norma for being an amazing host and now a friend to us all.

Winthrop, MAAwesome Cabin!
Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in August 2011
We have stayed at Norma's cabin 3 years and have never been disappointed. Anything you could possible need is right there and everything is immaculate! Norma is extremely meticulous and has thought of everything. She is also willing to share all that she has, from the new fire pit and gas grill to the well-equipped kitchen, laundry room and movies/games in the basement. There is absolutely nothing you need to bring except your food and clothing. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy, if that's what you like, but just a short ride down the road brings you to a fabulous beach on the lake. Go the other way, and you come to the outlet stores and many other outdoor attractions. We will continue to be one of Norma's regulars because she really cares about her guests! Thanks Norma!
