Bluemont, VirginiaWhat a great place!

The cabin is very comfortable. We had five family members stay and the cabin was spacious enough for us. It is stocked well with cooking utensils. The Wifi is dependable and there is cable TV. The cabin has a woodstove that keeps the common area nice and warm during the cold winters nights! It is a great location if you are looking for something out of town. It is only three miles from the town of Whitefish so you are not too far from town. Great hiking trail right outside the door.
It is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the surounding mountains. We will definately consider staying there on our next trip to Whitefish!Response from the Bed n Bale - 01/04/2013

Thank you, Peter and Shelley. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit as well!

Asheville, North CarolinaThe best in Whitefish, without a doubt

We had a marvelous time at this location. The home had everything you could possibly imagine and the hostess was the best. If she didn't have it, she would get it. We had a birthday party outside, and she put up tables an chairs and sprayed for mosquitoes and we didn't even ask. This is one place that you will hate to leave. It's quiet, the animals both wild and domestic are all over, and the beds are extremely comfortable. I could go on and on, but trust me...you'll love it.

Ham Lake, Minnesota, United StatesUn Unexpected Stay In Whitefish Turns Out To Be a Great Surprise
Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in September 2012
While traveling through Whitefish over labor day weekend, my wife and I had a mechanical breakdown leaving us marooned. Thinking we were going to be stuck in a hotel, Linda of Baileys Bed and Bale rescued us from such a fate, and offered us her vacation rental home. We arrived far after dark only to find a fire waiting for us along with our welcoming hostess. She escorted into a very charming, very comfortable home making sure we felt as if it were our own. At morning light we discovered this charming home was situated on an equally charming property. I highly recommend Baileys Bed and Bale for its comfortable, welcoming accommodations, but also for its kind, friendly, and gracious hosts. Dave and Linda Bailey.

Everything was perfect!! Beds and pillows were super comfy, lots of ammenities--nice towels, soaps, coffee, everything you need to live just like you would at home. The property was beautiful, secluded, and quiet, yet convenient to the towns restaraunts and shopping--we even went into to Glacier Park 2 days. The host was amazing, almost like you knew her for years, she takes you in and makes you comfortable. I highly recommend the Bed N Bale, and hope we get to visit again someday.

Jacksonville, FloridaGreat family escape, close to town and activities

My husband and I brought our 3 neices to NW Montana for a week. The Bailey's farmhouse was a great place to stay with 3 young girls- 10, 13 and 17. Their farmhouse has all the conveniences and amenities of home in a rural, quiet setting but within a few short miles of town to easily reach restaurants, shopping and attractions. Linda was especially easy to work with and the farmhouse was immacualtely clean and plenty roomy. My neices enjoyed feeding the cows and gathering fresh eggs from the hens - something they do not experience back home. I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to others.

We chose the Bed N Bale for our yearly Girls' Trip and it was the perfect choice! Within a 30 minute drive of the West Glacier Park entrance, close to a large grocery/ liquor store and conveniences...yet when you were on the property, you'd never know you're within 10-15 minutes of town! Every morning we got to enjoy fresh eggs from the chickens and we got to pet the Highland cows on the property! The owners also provided us with a beautiful gift basket complete with cereal, peppermint patties, popcorn, pancake mix, syrup and homemade huckleberry jam! Other kitchen staples, i.e. ketchup, relish, basic spices, butter, etc. were also provided. The full kitchen outfitted with everything you need helped us save money by not eating out every night. The 1800 square feet was more than enough room for the three of us, we each had our own rooms, and there were beds to spare in the loft! Definitely spacious enough for much larger groups and/ or families! Linda and Dave were so friendly, and also respectful of our privacy. It was definitely like a home away from home. We will definitely be telling our friends and family about the Montana hospitality we enjoyed at the Bailey's Bed N Bale! And hope to be back soon!

Scottsdale, ArizonaWhat a fun and amazing experience!
Left on 07/10/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The Home: Most importantly - this place was immaculate! Next was the fact that all of our gathered family was able to stay in one lovely home together (there was even a crib and child's bed in a little alcove of the master bedroom!). Worked out great for my folks that there is a bedroom on the main floor too - no stairs! A nice little welcome basket met our immediate needs - and after a quick trip to the grocery store, having the well equipped kitchen and the grill were perfect for our 5 night stay! Not that there aren't lots of great restaurants to choose from in Whitefish - we sampled of couple of those as well!!
The Property: It was so much fun interacting with the animals on this adorable little farm. The Bailey's have cows, chickens, a roosters, and one adorable "barn cat" named Tigger - of special note, we experience a new baby cow being born while we were there (I guess that can't be guaranteed for all future visitors)! In addition to the resident animals, Mother Nature also provided us with (every day we were there) wild turkeys and deer that made themselves at home on this property too!
The Proprietors: Linda and her husband Dave could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Coordinating our stay with Linda was so simple! Once we arrived, we found out that June in Montana is just a wee bit cooler than June in arizona. No worries! Dave started up the wood burning stove for us inside - nice and cozy - and even got us set up outside around the roaring fire pit - Montana summer nights (skies, stars) are the best!! The Bailey's really made our family feel like we were part of their family...we'll surely be back - maybe for a winter visit next time? Can't wait! -

We were more than pleased with our brief stay, did not want to leave! It was so roomy, tastefully decorated, and we all felt at home. Linda was most gracious and helpful, and really went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. All of us want to go back.
