It was our first time at Sundog Retreat and I can highly recommend it to fellow travelers. It was easy to find from the airport, ideally located, incredibly peaceful and surrounded by the most stunning scenery. All the staff went out of their way to be attentive and welcoming.

Very clean, very quiet, very cozy and comfortable; well stocked with just the right utensils for cooking. Also tea, coffee, oatmeal, popcorn, and books in the room. And TV if you want it. Saw the aurora in the wee hours. Temp was -20 the night we were there, but the cabin was warm. Our truck wouldn't start in the morning, and andrew went far out of his way to help us get it started and back on the road. I highly recommend the Sundog -- it's truly an exceptional place.

East AngliaThe perfect place to end our vacation

We stayed in 'Fuzzy Crocus' for one night and wished it had been much longer. So peaceful, comfortable and well appointed. Good quality furnishings/ crockery etc. Very attractively appointed. Lovely surroundings, though some might find the distance to/from Whitehorse too far. We appreciated the use of the BBQ, the 'welcome' basket and the prompt arrival of an extra fan on an exceptionally hot day. (Thank you!)

A true retreat north of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Individual furnished cottages provide all the necessities and even some extras. The welcome basket of cocoa, fruit, coffee and tea was most appreciated. The books and magazines along with satellite television provided indoor activities, while the outdoors beckoned. The beds were comfortable. While not a five star resort, the cabins are lovely.

I stayed at one of the Sundog Retreat's cottages after the birth of my son. It was such a restful and calm environment and my family and I were able to enjoy the moments of being a new family together in the beautiful Yukon winter. Despite the cold temperatures outside, the cottage was lovely and warm with a more than adequate heating system. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped and made for easy cooking, and the hot tub and sauna were great especially in the snow! We found it to be very private and child friendly for my 4 year old. The owners are extremely accommodating, non-intrusive and pleasant, and certainly went out of their way to make our stay a very memorable one. We have stayed at the Sundog twice now, and both times have left with very fond memories. Thank you so much Heather, this was certainly an experience we will treasure!

Whitehorse, Canadaso cozy and relaxing
Left on 09/08/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Even though it was -42C and we had trouble getting our fireplace going because of the cold, the owners didn't hesitate to come over and warm up the propane tank so we could get the fire going!! We went to the outdoor hot tub to relax (!!---which we did!) while they fixed the problem. We had a lovely stay and can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended!

Prince Rupert, CanadaAwsome experience, with quiet secluded area that is close to tow
Left on 09/07/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had an excellent stay at the cabins. The area is in a nice quiet setting that is close to town and just far enough out. The cabins were clean and inviting and we greatly enjoyed our stay. Traveling with small children can be a challenge, especially with an area for them to play that is safe inside and outside. This stay provided both. The cabins offered the flexibility for the kids to run around safely, and an at home feeling gave the kids the sense of security to let them enjoy their stay that helped us as parents enjoy the stay. The kitchen was clean and provided all the necessities. There were also games and books that are provided there that we enjoyed using. Thank You Sundog.

USAVery peaceful, serene, well-managed cabins
Left on 08/31/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We were very happy with our choice of Sundog Retreat. It is near the Takhini Hot Springs area, and just about 15 minutes northeast of Whitehorse. The cabin we rented was tidy, very comfortable, warm and quiet. When the fire alarm went off unexpectedly, the hosts came by right away to fix it, and were very gracious. This place would make a good getaway or retreat location, so I intend to come back for an extended stay. We stayed in the cabin they call "Fuzzy Crocus." Side note: We made our decision to stay here based on Trip advisor recommendations, and we were not disappointed. Thanks, fellow Trip advisors!
