Located a little over an hour’s drive from St. John’s, Ocean Delight Cottages offer beautiful, fully equipped cottages right on the ocean’s edge in Trinity Bay.

We have 2 locations to choose from, about five kilometers apart:

-Ocean Delight Cottages – Long Point Cove, Heart’s Delight (4-1/2 star)

-Ocean Delight Cottages – Whiteway (3-1/2 star)

Heart's Delight:

Atlantic Ocean as far as the eye can see...that’s your view from any one of our four luxury cottages in Long Point Cove.

From your dining room or private deck, view whales and bald eagles, puffins, osprey, gannets or loons. Take a hike o...n our oceanfront trail. Or, head over to the beach to cast a line, admire an iceberg or catch a glimpse of capelin rolling in season. At days’ end, kick back and watch the sun set over the water from the comfort of your own private retreat.

The four beautifully appointed, fully equipped cottages are even named after some of your neighbours: the Puffin, the Loon, the Gannet and the Osprey. Each cottage has a fireplace, private deck, barbecue, and fire-pit (and yes, we even supply the firewood!).

Whiteway:

Looking for a comfortable place to call home? How about the home of the famous Shag Rock....also known by local fishermen as “the Ship-wrecker”.

Enjoy spectacular views of the triple-horned Shag Rock, and visiting whales, icebergs and seabirds right from your private deck. Or tour the region’s wealth of things to see and do including boat tours, bird sanctuaries and ecological reserves from your perfectly situated home base.

Whiteway offers three fully equipped two-bedroom cottages each with private deck, barbecue and fire-pit.

All cottages in both locations are newly refurbished and the perfect choice for those looking for spectacular ocean views and to experience the unspoiled beauty of rural Newfoundland. Additional Location Information

All Ocean Delight properties are ocean front, offering spectacular, unobstructed ocean views and lots of privacy.

Heart's Delight Cottages are located in a secluded cove with rocky beach, ocean front walking trail, picnic tables, seating and fire pits right at the ocean's edge. Full ocean views are found in each cottage from both the dining room and the deck. Seabirds of all kinds and whales are regular visitors right outside the cottages, and sunsets are absolutely stunning. Experience Heart's Delight and you might never want to leave!

Whiteway cottages are located in the quiet and picturesque fishing village of Whiteway, surrounded by trees and coastline. A rocky beach is accessible from all cottages, and fishing boats are still active in the harbour just steps away in this friendly, absolutely charming community. All cottages have private deck, picnic table, and fire pit to enjoy the spectacular scenery and views of Shag Rock morning until night.

At just over an hour’s drive from the province’s historic capital of St. John’s and its famous sites and nightlife, Ocean Delight Cottages are the perfect starting point to explore the many attractions in the Northern Avalon.

Take a day-trip to one of the Avalon's three world- class ecological reserves. Explore coastal walking and hiking trails, looking for local wild life, including moose and caribou.

Enjoy fishing, boat tours, kayaking, or play a round at scenic Pitcher’s Pond Golf Course in Whiteway, just minutes away from all cottages.

Back at home, enjoy breathtaking views of whales and seabirds, and ocean as far as the eye can see.

Whether you choose to book one of Ocean Delight’s luxury 4-1/2 star cottages on secluded Long Point cove in Heart’s Delight, or a comfortable 3-1/2 star cottage in the picturesque fishing community of Whiteway, you won’t be disappointed.
We’ve got everything you need for a memorable get away, including spectacular ocean views and all the natural charms of rural Newfoundland.
For the comfort of all of our guests, smoking is permitted outside only.
Two Night Minimum Stay.
Three Night Minimum Stay – Long Weekends.

Payment and Cancellation Policies
Credit card payment is required for all bookings.
For stays of 6 nights or less, payment in full is required to reserve your booking.
For weekly or longer stays, 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot, with balance due upon check-in.

Unlike hotels, we never double book. Each booking reserves the specific cottage you chose.
Refunds will be provided for cancellations made with minimum 30 days notice, less a $25 per night re-booking fee.
For cancellations within 30 days of check-in date, refunds will be provided only if a rebooking can be secured. Again, a $25 per night re-booking fee is applied.

Trip cancellation insurance can be an inexpensive way to cover unforeseen changes and give you peace of mind. Check with your credit card company coverage, or with your travel agent.

Ocean Delight Cottages is a member of Canada Select, Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Newfoundland and Labrador Eastern Destination Management Organization.

  What an amazing spot with killer views. The place was super clean and comfortable. I travel for a living and haven't found many owners nicer than those two. I fully recommend this place as romantic getaway or as a base camp to explore the avalon Peninsula.

  Ocean Delight Cottages, .Definately a Delight

  The cottage we stayed was attached to the main building.
  The name was The Cranberry Cottage.
  The cottage was clean, tastefully decorated. Two bedrooms... one bedroom had 2 beds, and the main bedroom had one bed with a beautiful view of the ocean.
  The bed was very comfy that I got to sleep in. :)
  The kitchen had all the utensils needed for cooking. Large TV.. in the living room area,
  Beautiful balcony with a super view. We couldn't resist a fire in the fire pit and of course a marshmallow roast . Yummy smores!!!
  Joe welcomed us . A very friendly man and was there to help if we needed.
  We will be back because this visit was too short.
