Cottage Profile Three bedroom, 1000 square foot waterfront Viceroy cottage located in between Owen Sound and Wiarton. The cottage has a bright and airy feel to it, with cathedral ceilings, laminate flooring and large windows that run along the lake side of the cottage allowing you a beautiful view of Georgian Bay. We have been to this cottage twice. We thoroughly enjoy sitting on the balcony and getting the morning sun while reading a book and enjoying a pot of coffee. The view and sounds of the bay just add to the enjoyment. It's what a holiday is all about.

We had a wonderful time - all amenities were available, there were plenty of things to do both at the cottage and close by. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a fun family vacation!

Our stay was very nice, everything was as it was represented on the web site, and then some. Small gripe about the people clearing the lot next door with chainsaws a couple of days without warning, and the owners of a large black dog 2 lots over letting it roam loose to do it's business wherever it pleased on the property, esp.with us cleaning up after our own dog, we were afraid of being blamed for that dogs messes. Otherwise a quiet peaceful setting, very well stocked with conveniences.

mississauga, ontarioNice cottage, but...

This cottage has an obvious moisture problem. The musty stench almost knocks you over when you enter. It permeates every square inch of the cottage. We had to rewash clean laundry upon our return home to get rid of the smell. We managed to stay the week by keeping all windows open 24/7, running fans to exhaust the smell, and spending as much time outside as possible. In short, we had a very disappointing summer vacation this year. The owner should not be renting this cottage out in this condition without warning prospective renters.

The owner had the exterior of the basement fully waterproofed in 2010 and there have been no further comments about moisture accumulation since then.

We really enjoyed our stay at the spacious Big Bay cottage with beautiful views of the lake. Had a great time sitting around the firepit toasting marshmallows. Enjoyed the privacy & large backyard facing the water.
