The cottage is adjacent to the owners’ home, 1 1/4 miles up a single track road and is only a couple of miles away from the tranquil village of Kirkinner. The cottage is comfortable and cosy with a welcoming atmosphere and has its own secluded private garden with patio furniture and lovely rural views.

The cottage was excellent with everything we required in it, we were also made to feel very welcome by the owner. The area is very quiet and peaceful, and wigtown is a delightful town with many wonderful book shops.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped in a wonderful location - so peaceful with great views from the upstairs lounge. A proper getaway cottage in a lovely part of the world. Highly recommended.Have booked twice now with MacKays and both times have been really pleased with the standard of accommodation. That can't be said for all holiday companies!!

Very warm welcome, basic but fairly good accommodation with good views. Quite a distance from a lot of the visitor attractions. Good area for walking
