The apartments are located next to our house, on the top of a hill on the border of Santa Maria and Buena Vista, at a 10 minutes drive from the airport. It is a nice and quiet neighborhood in the hills.
The island of Curacao is only 60 km in length, and the width varies from 4 to 10 km, so everything is at close range.
You can shop, swim, dive, walk, snorkle, play golf, visit a museum or go to a concert. Explore the island in your own rental car, discover nature in the beautiful Christoffelpark.
You can also come for one of the many great events, like the Heineken Regatta, the Amstel Gold Race, the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival, or just celebrate your honeymoon or vacation on our beautiful tropical island.
Temperature is yearround between 26 and 32 Centigrade, 79 and 90 Fahrenheit.
If you rent one of our cars you can park it just in front of your apartment, and we pick you up from the airport.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bon Curacao apartments. The hospitality of our hostess (Thea) and host (Dirk) blew us away from our very first inquiry. In fact, I was a little bit nervous because I thought that they were too good to be true. Turns out that they really are as wonderful as they appeared to be. Thea responded to any and all of our questions very quickly. She went above and beyond our expectations at every opportunity. Before I continue to rave, let me make one thing very clear: this is not a luxury establishment. So if that is what you are looking for, you must look elsewhere. Staying at Bon Curacao is like being at home; it’s comfy and (perhaps) a little bit worn. But if you’re like us, you wouldn’t change a thing. Because we were the only new tenants during our short visit, we had a choice of two apartments. We opted for the smaller (more casual) one because we liked the private patio. The apartment was spotless and the rooms were large. The kitchen had all of the essentials to keep and prepare food. There was indoor dining space on the bar/counter top, but we preferred to eat on the patio outside. The freezer was large enough to house a big bag of ice with room left over. The refrigerator had plenty of space, too. The bathroom had a stall shower with only one water dial. Hot water was regulated through a heater with two controls. Most americans may not be familiar with this kind of setup. Thus, please note that there is plenty of hot water, although the pressure can sometimes be low. The bedroom had a queen sized bed, night stand, chair, and two lockers with shelves and hanging space. We had more than enough room for our stuff. Linens and two towels per guest were provided. The previously mentioned private patio had a table and two chairs. It boasted a beautiful view of the hills and lovely breezes day and night. It was also the perfect place to meet and greet the cats and dogs that are Thea and Dirk’s pets and family. The island has a problem with stray dogs and Thea is very active in a rescue group. We have seen some of the miracles that she and Dirk have worked with their charges. We enjoyed petting and playing with the kitties and pups. While you’re there, be sure to purchase some of Thea’s fresh eggs. They are wonderful. And, if you really want to tickle your taste buds, order an Indonesian dinner from Chef Dirk. Guaranteed to be the most delicious food you will find on the island. Because the location of the apartment is away from the tourist areas, it is vital to rent a car. Not to worry! You can do that at Bon Curacao, too. We rented a clean and comfortable Hyundai and traveled all over the island in it. We saw some magnificent beaches that we would not have seen had we stayed at a hotel and not rented a car.
To summarize: if you’re looking for maid service, one room with a bath, in an out of the way but touristy location, this is not for you! If your looking for unsurpassed hospitality (and free Wifi) for an extremely reasonable price, you should book now!! Would we return? You can bet on it! -

This is the place to stay if you want to get away from the cookie cutter hotels and get a feel for Curacao. Besides being inexpensive, it was clean and comfortable. We were conveniently located to everything. Thea and Dirk did everything to make our stay comfortable. We purchased frsh eggs from Thea our first day. We felt as though we were on a farm with roosters crowing and the tree frogs at night.
Curacao has a problem with homeless animals this becomes evident as soon as you arrive at the airport. Thea and Kirk are advocates for these animals. Which is uplifting in this environment.
The hospitality made us reluctant to leave. We can envision ourselves spending a month or two if lucky in one of their well kept apartments. -

The two of us stayed at this generously furnished apartment in the heart of Curacao. The facilities were more than optimal, every detail was taken care of by the owners. Everything that you need for a relaxed stay on Curacao is provided in the apartment, a/c, fans, dutch and local tv, wifi, kitchinette, great fridge, fresh sheets every week and much more. If you're missing something, the owners do their best to make your stay comfortable. The apartment is safe and has a pleasant location which makes it easy to drive to all parts of the island. We also rented a car in combination with the apartment, which was perfect! The owners make sure the cars are always in good shape and ready for the Curacao roads. What I liked the best was that the owners were incredibly genuine and were always ready to help us. I would come back here any time and would recommend it to anyone looking for true value in their stay.
