New York City, New YorkNice Condo between Teton Village & Jackson

My husband and I rented this condo - unit 613 ground floor - for 10 nights in aug 2011. We were originally scheduled for 8 but then our flight back to the east coastwas delayed due to Hurricane Irene and we needed to stay 3 more nights.
Check In: We booked online which was efficient. The Jackson Hole Resort Lodging (Jhrl) office is in Teton Village. They were efficient and friendly and had everything ready. We arrived at 2:30 pm and even though check in was 4pm since it was ready they let us have the keys. Booking for and extra 2 nights due to our delay was easy too - just a phone call. The third night we stayed in Teton Village since the unit was booked by someone else.
Check Out: Efficient - back at Jhrl in Teton Village. They have a key drop box if you need to check out before they are open.
This is a wood construction condo that was recently remodeled. It was very nice and we were happy with our stay. The unit is apperantly for sale too.
Living Room - sofa bed couch, 2 recliner chairs, leather chair with footstool, tv, wood burning fireplace. My husband thought the couch was uncomfortable but I thought it was fine. WiFi internet with strong signal.
Dining area - table with 4 chairs
Patio - small outdoor patio with grill that we did not use. Sliding glass door access. Limited mountain view.
Kitchen - dishwasher, 2 microwaves, electric stove, lots of pots, cutlery, some storage containers.
Bathroom - separate tub/ shower / toilet area. Large vanity - one sink, washer / dryer
Hallway - closet with ironing board / iron
Foyer - pegs for coats
Bedroom - queen bed, dresser, large closet. Bed was average firmness.
With this unit you also get access to their fitness facility which my husband said was good for a resort type of area and had all the major machines he normally uses. They had a tennis court but no net and they have a swimming pool as well.
The only minor gripes were: shower area is dark - not enough light - had to pull back the curtain to see properly. Lousy lock on door - we're New Yorkers so perhaps a bit less trusting but a deadbolt or chain or peephole would have been good. Since the unit is wood construction and not concrete you can hear the people walking around in the unit above.
There is a grocery store in this community. Had everything you need and a wine / liquor store next door - there are a number of other stores & a bank too. There is a large albertson's grocery store in Jackson (about 5 miles away). Recyling containers next to the grocery store.
We did lots of hiking, visiting the Grand Teton park, whitewater rafting - all there at your fingertips. Had a great time - saw bison, moose, beaver, coyote, picas, elk. If you are into hiking highly recommend the Cascade Canyon Trail - it is a bit of a climb to Inspiration Point but then the rest is just spectacular scenery with an easy hike. Take the ferry from South Jenny Lake - $10 rtn - hike to Hidden Falls, then to Insipiartion Point and the trail will continue down Cascade Canyon. It is a return trail (not a loop) for a total of 9 miles. Or stop and turn back when you are tired and return to the ferry.
My husband and I would be happy to come back to the area and stay in this unit again.
