FloridaA calm weekend with friends
Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This house is a lovely place in the woods, perfect to share with old friends. The decor is unexpectedly funky in all the best ways, and the yard is a nice place to sit and talk. Even the drive there on the river road is so pretty. I wish we had stayed longer!

This cabin is so cute and cozy! We loved it! It is very spacious and updated. We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. Reasonably priced and well worth it.

Austin, TXOasis in Texas Drought
Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011
A group of 6 of us went to the hill country for a friend's wedding. Finding a comfortable place for 6 can be quite daunting, but we found it! The river at the community river park really had water in it, something so rare in our area right now, plenty for swimming, floating, kayaking, etc. There was a rope swing and a nice slab of rock to sit on. It wasn't very crowded and the people were very friendly. The cabin was perfect. We weren't there much, because we were off doing wedding things or at the river, but it was a perfect home base! We really enjoyed it. It's nice to know that even in this rough drought, there is a place we can still find water! It was amazing.
The front and side yards weren't as nice as in the pictures, but we're in a bad drought in Central Texas, and for us, the appearance of the yard didn't matter. We were mostly at the river or chilling on the front porch. No fires due to the drought, but the side yard looked like a nice area to have one. The creek by the house was dried up, just like everything else in Central Texas right now, again no biggie for us.
Highlights:
-kitchen is better than mine at home, so nice!
-fully stocked, I was shocked to find that I really didn't need to bring anything. It might not always be as well stocked as it was when we stayed, but there was shampoo, conditioner, lotion, paper towels, foil, plenty of TP and towels...the list goes on!
-living area was perfect for catching up with old friends, plenty of seating.
-gas grill was very nice.
-we loved the front porch with seating and ceiling fans!
-Carrie was easy to communicate with, answered questions very quickly and she even called on the day we arrived to make sure everything was okay!
-neighbors were nice, we passed the place at first, and a neighbor directed us to "Carrie's place".
-Wifi!!! Really, this meant the world to us!
-A/C worked great!
-comfortable beds.
-very clean and well maintained. -

Round Rock,TXBlanco River Retreat
Left on 07/05/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property for three nights. It was a wonderful experience that was enjoyed by all (teenagers through grandparents).
The property is very compfortable and extremely clean. It's proximity to what proved to be a great swimming hole on the Blanco can not be understated. Also, the shady yard was the perfect setting for sitting outside, talking with friends, and watching the deer walk by!
I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great hill country getaway. -

SpringFantastic time with family, very quiet and peaceful.
Left on 06/02/2011 for a stay in May 2011
The surrounding area was beautiful as was the cabin and the private river access was perfect. Several deer came into the yard on several nights, there were owls in the trees, hummingbirds. Just an all around great experience my wife and I would recommend to anyone who is looking to have peaceful relaxing family vacation.
P- The renting process was as easy as a click of the mouse. We are looking forward to our next trip.

We were in for a wedding at the Old Glory Ranch, which is just down the road. This was a great convenience. The cabin was very nice and very relaxing. We had a great day enjoying the weather and swimming at the river.
