      A splendid lodge in a beautiful location.

      An amazing place to stay if visiting the Lakes. we visited in November, and so 'out of season'. It was quiet, easy to travel around and the resort was peaceful. It may not be so at peak season. The lodge itslef was wonderful and catered to our needs of a romantic winter getaway with adventurous walks around the lakes perfectly.

      Had a fantastic weekend break here. The lodge is spotless, extremely comfortable and is well equipped. The location was ideal ideally placed between ambleside and Windermere.

      lovely lodge in very nice surroundings. Easy access to all main routs in lake district. Only problem we had was that you had to go in to windermere centre to pick up keys and parking near centre is almost impossible. you then have to return the keys on leaving.why could they not be handed in to reception on site and collected there as well? Also the number on the key said 45 but number of cottage was 26 which even with instructions made it difficult to find on site.

      Great holiday base

      We had a fantastic stay in this lodge with our two daughters aged 7 and 4. The key collection was extremely straightforward and excellent directions on finding the property. The lodge itself was of a very high standard and provided an excellent base for our holiday. Lovely kitchen and dining area with an outside balcony for sunny days. The bedrooms were compact but well equipped and more than adequate for our needs. The holiday park had an excellent swimming pool which our kids used at least twice a day. The outdoor play area and tennis courts were also used frequently. The restaurant food was of a reasonable standard although we did tend to either eat out or make something ourselves. It is well located for lots of the attractions and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for your stay.

      Accommodation was excellent, spotless clean, had every mod con, and the park its self had lots of facilities.

      The only problem we had was with picking up the keys from Cottage Holidays as we arrived late on the evening, the keys were supposed to be left outside the office in a collection box, which they were there. So it took about an hour to sort out.

      But other than this we would defiantly go back to this lodge
